I came here for a quick weekday lunch. The interior is quite small, only 5 – 6 tables. However, it seems like most people use this as a take out spot. You order at the counter then pick up from the counter. There is no table service here. You bussed own table too. The food was pretty inexpensive and the portions were large. The food was good but the ambiance was lacking. The TV volume was sky high with telenovelas playing. I might come again for take out but I wouldn’t dine in again.

The reason I am giving them 5 stars is because when I talked to the girl at the front counter about her funky attitude she made improvements with her attitude as I continued to frequent there. Also, the food is yummy, cooked in front of you and is delicious. I wasn’t too fond of their burritos but that’s probably just my personal preference. I live in Decatur, but if I lived local I would totally frequent this place three or more times a week. #yummy

$ 1.59 tacos, the«al pastor» tacos were very soggy, did not taste like al pastor. The place is small but it is convenient and quick to get something to go. There is very limited parking, you could probably park in a surrounding lot. The cashier is always friendly, the place looks clean. I might just try another item from their menu.

I love this place! There is no better spot to go when you want a quick, tasty, and inexpensive snack of even a meal. The tostadas are almost as good as mom used to make and a rare find indeed. They are made the way they should be, not the microwave monstrosities that you typically find in most Mexican restaurants.

I really wanted to like this place more but there quality of the pastor and chicken threw me off. The chicken looked like is boiled and had no flavor, the pastor looked like it was cooked in a skillet using curry. The flavor want that bad, I am used to getting pastor that was been rotating on spit and when they slice it off it’s more like bbq. Overall I would give this place on more and try something new.

I’ve had tacos all over Atlanta and these rival even the ones on Buford Hwy. Great salsa bar too. We tried the tripa, asada, lengua, chorizo, ground beef and chicken. All tasty options. FYI the tacos are $ 1.20, if you come for the 99 cent ones, those are the grilled chicken and ground beef only which they overloaded on a taco to my delight. Next time I might try their desserts and imported glass bottle drinks. I’m a fan of glass bottle coke but I was in a rush and only wanted a taste of what the good reviews rave about. FYI– There isn’t much parking(a little unpaved lot in the back sufficed). I asked my date how all the people park and he responded, «They walk.» I noticed that everyone walking in after us did walk in and didn’t seem to have parked anywhere.

I wanted to like this place. It has friendly service, clean interior, large portions and cheap prices. Maybe that’s the problem. Premium meat costs money and for $ 5.99, my steak burrito was mammoth! It had all the makings of a great burrito; lots of beef, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and jalapeños for an extra kick. But the steak was the cheapest cut you can buy and the meal felt extremely heavy. It wasn’t for me.

I had a hard time deciding how many stars to give this place. I grew up in L.A. and love tacos and tortas. I’ve eaten a lot of them. A lot! Taco Loca is good. Darn good.(4 stars) The food that is. The customer service… SUCKS.(minus one star=3 stars) Every time I go in there, they ignore my husband and I as if they are hoping we will just leave so they won’t be bothered. They wait until they have finished preparing your order to tell you«We were all out of chicken, so we gave you carne asada instead». Um, what? No. Or when I get back home, something is wrong.(minus another star) It’s still tasty and I always eat it anyways(plus star) but still it stinks to be thinking of something all the way home and get something else. Upside, they do have lengua, their salsa bar is always clean and yummy. So that’s awesome.(Thats worth a star). In the end, its cheap tasty food and its worth it if you can deal with the side of attitude they dish up for free on the side.

We went«off hours» and were able to get a table — that’s good because there are only a few tables in the place. My son had steak nachos and I have never heard him so quiet while he plowed through them. He did mention they were the best nachos he has ever had. I have the steak and shrimp tacos and while they were good, I was glad to be done with them. The shrimp is that little salad kind that are often a little too«fishy»… again, good but just a bit too fishy for me. The tacos are small but may be a bit too much if you get two of them. The place is a hole in the wall and appears like it needs a good hosing down. That’s to be expected from most of the hole in the wall places right? Given the above, I would definitely eat there again.

Let me first start off by saying the prices are awesome! It doesn’t look like much but don’t let that fool you. The food is very authentic. They have a plethora of tacos. You can choose from beef tongue, chorizo, tripe and everything in between. They also have some awesome sauces. Some are spicy but won’t have you praying on the toilet or begging for milk. If you have a few dollars to spare then this place should be on your list of potential spots to spend them.

Great food. Great prices. My favorites are the asada, chorizo, and their«Taco Loco» tacos. Everything is made quickly and always tastes great. The staff is very friendly. The only«complaint» I have is that there’s not much seating, but it’s a tiny building. The good thing is they keep the few tables nice and clean! This is a great place to satisfy your taco craving! If you have 4 bucks, don’t go to McDonalds! Go to Taco Loco!

Overall, the food was just okay. From the other reviews, I was expecting something amazing but it just kind of turned out average. It wasn’t good enough to make me want to go back. The place is very small so I recommend ordering to go. They have quite a few menu choices. I ordered a chicken burrito and the hubby ordered tacos. Burrito was BIG(rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream). Not much flavor: just very salty in my opinion. It came with chips which was a plus. They had a small salsa bar with about 4 different salsas and some veggies. Give it try if you’re in the area looking for authentic tacos.

A good little hole in the wall taco place. I love the chicken and steak tacos and quesadillas… prices are decent as well. The parking lot is tiny though. A good place to go for REAL Mexican food. Only concern is a friend of mine complained of getting food poisoning from here… I never had any issues and will definitely be back.

Taco Loco knows Tacos! This little spot totally rocks! After reading a few reviews, we decided to swing thru for a few tacos and been going back every since. Authentic mexican food! This spot is very small, only about 4 or 5 tables, so its best if you are grabbing something to go. The cook is cool, you can actually see him cooking in the back, this is a very clean spot and the cashier is always extremely pleasant. The salsa bar is always clean and very well kept with many selections. The REALDEAL is the .99 Tacos(beef & chicken). I never pay over 10.00 for food & beverages.

This place is really legit and better than taco t, tacos la villa, or taqueria tsunami. For that matter any taco shop I’ve been to in metro ATL. The pastor was on point and reminded me of a spot called tacos el Gordo in Tijuana, Mexico. The chicken tacos were also very good and I’m currently reheating two chicken tacos as I write this reviews. Very good flautas as well and next time I’ll have to try steak flautas. Chicken here tastes like chicken and same for pork. Sounds obvious but around ATL this doesn’t hold true even at the legit taquerias.

Obsessed with this place. Seriously I should be hired on with all the recruiting and advertising I do out of pure love! 3 pollo tacos(Mexican style, duh) and a horchata to wash it down. Life changing!

I going TACOLOCO! OMG! I can’t believe that the ATL has such a GREATPLACE for Mexican food! THEREMUSTBE A GOD! This place has been just about everything I can think of. It goes in and out of business and each place that occupies this location NEVER stays for long but maybe there is hope! I don’t know what this place was before because I NEVER bothered to remember. BUT being that I’m in town for a visit in the ATL and it has been FRICKINFREEZINCOLD outside I needed some comfort food to warm me up! A normal person would eat at home but my parents house has NEVER been normal when it comes to food! My dad owns a restaurant so all we have ever had at homes is munchie foods! Chips, candy, cookies, ice cream, pickles, cheese, lunch meat and cereal and ohh salad! NOTREALLY what you call real food! If we ever want real food we went to the restaurant or called my dad and placed an order and he would bring home what we wanted like take out ONLYNOTREALLY! So there is always a shopping trip to the grocery store planned once I get in! It is pretty amazing I have always been healthy with the eating habits I could have picked up! Off the subject but WHATEVERYOULOVEIT! So anyway I borrowed my dads car while everyone was at work and I slept in like the lazy AZZ and had a hankerin for something HOT, WARM and tasty once my eyes opened and I came back to the land of the living! I decided to give this place a shot! I wasn’t getting my hopes up because I’m in the south and its NEVER been known for any ethnic type foods! SOCOLORMESURPRISED when I chowed down into the mini tacos! SOOOOODELICIOUS and PERFECTLYSEASONED! I wanted to kiss the cook, but boyfriends tend to frown at those type of things unless you have an open relationship which we don’t! I also had the beans and Mexican rice which was SUPERDUPERYUMMY as well! I’m not sure if it was being STARVED by my family for real food or the FRICKINCOLDWEATHER out here that made it taste so GOOD but WHATEVER the case I was sold! I will go back everyday until TURKEYDAY if I can! The parking is not great but it is not bad! I have NEVER seen this place packed so you should be ok! I need to try a burrito or flauta and try to expand my palate! It is in some desperate need of change and spontaneity! Everyone was SUPERNICE but you always get GREATSERVICE from family owned places! ANDTHEY tend to make the most authentic foods! REALLY put there heart into it and there foot because ITWASSLAMMMIN! THANKYOU for FINALLY bringing edible Mexican food to the south!
