Been coming here for years! always excellent service. The staff is friendly and they keep the inside very clean. The food is well prepared and tastes great. If you’re looking for a good pizza place, you can’t go wrong with this location. 5 out of 5

My friend and I were craving pizza, so we came to this place. Instead of dining in, we ordered at the counter and sauntered over to the Goodwill for the 20 minutes it took to cook the pizza. By the time we came back 25 minutes later, we were asked to wait about 5 more minutes. Not a problem. The pizza ended up being delicious, piping hot, and cooked perfectly. It’s hard to mess up a Mellow Mushroom pizza, and this location stays true to the delicious flavors. They don’t offer a lot of seating options, so if you’re waiting to pick up your pie, you may end up having to stand up. There was only one place to sit while we waited, and that was at the bench nearest to the door. It’s a small location, but the staff still remained friendly despite the constant back and forth of patrons.

Went for Sunday lunch had to wait 45 minutes after ordering our food. Server did not come by to check on us or top off our drinks. This is our second visit and probably our last. Food was bland, I had steak and cheese sub wife had small veggie pizza both needed seasoning.

Delicious! Far superior to the Kennesaw location. Much closer in quality to the Savannah or old Statesboro location even. Jerk Chicken was cooked just right, pizza/pretzel dough was moist and flavorful.

I don’t patronize pizza parlors much, and had never been to a Mellow Mushroom until last night, but decided to give them a try after seeing their menu had quite a number of interesting sandwiches. I came in a little after 5PM. The place wasn’t too crowded. When I left about an hour later, every table was filled. If you come at prime time, you may need to wait. Patrons seat themselves in this restaurant. There is a little counter area where single diners can sit, but when you sit there you feel like you’re part of the service staff. It might be better to sit at a table. I ordered the jerk chicken sandwich. The sandwiches come in half and whole portions. I got the whole portion. It’s a good deal for $ 8.95. It doesn’t come with anything else, but you can add chips for another dollar. The sandwich was very good, with fresh toasted bread and all the ingredients tasted fresh and savory. This particular sandwich was too spicy hot for me so I would try something else the next time I go. I really like the selection on the menu and some of the sandwiches look good to try, and the pizza too. The food and prices are good, but as far as dining in, I didn’t feel there was much of an ambience. A large number of patrons come in and pick up take out orders. Next time I want Mellow Mushroom, I would do the take out option. They have six beers on tap, and I had a Sweetwater 420. They also had Hopsecutioner. If you want to dine in and have a beer with pizza, they have a few good selections for you.

I went there last night around 6pm. They were just starting to get busy and I had to wait for a table for maybe 10 minutes. That’s fine, my choice to wait. I got there before my husband on purpose so I could get our order in and we could be done eating before our kids’ play which was nearby at 7:30. I ordered our drinks, salad and pizza as soon as the server came by my table. That was probably 6:15/6:20. I ordered my husbands buffalo chicken pizza with no ranch/blue cheese. So, by 6:30 my husband arrived and I was still waiting for the salad. It finally came. The server double checked with my husband that he wanted neither ranch or blue cheese on his pizza. We were done with the salads and by 6:50 we were wondering where our pizzas were. Our server said that Friday nights we should expect a very long wait for food because there is only one oven at this location and our pizzas would probably not be ready for a while yet. ??? At this point we knew it would be cutting it close so we asked that our pizzas be brought in the boxes and that she bring the bill so we could go ahead and settle up while we were waiting. Meanwhile the people I had noticed who sat down and ordered after me were already served and eating! When she finally brought the pizzas at about 7:15 we had time to take a few bites before we had to go. Both of them were overcooked and tasted burnt and my husband’s pizza was covered with ranch dressing! We mentioned all this to the server. She apologized for the dressing, but we had no time to wait for another pizza to be cooked. We told her that our crusts were burnt and at first she said that’s how the gluten free crust tastes. When we said we had been to other Mellow Mushrooms where this was not our experience she said that this location is known for cooking their gluten free crusts a little longer. We paid $ 60 for a dinner we couldn’t eat and had to throw out our pizza. Not once did she offer to call a manager, comp anything off of the bill or even give us a coupon for a future visit. I guess with the business volume she was used to there isn’t any need to keep customers happy. I like Crust pizza and pasta much better anyway. They are better value for the money and the pizza tastes better. I won’t be back to Mellow Mushroom.

A great a Mellow as any. Food is spectacular, service quick and the atmosphere homey and laid back, bro. The only drawbacks to this location are the small size and seating yourself. Otherwise, awesome little joint.

Always good pizza. Staff has always been friendly. Not a ton of seating and fills up fast on busy nights. They do a heavy carryout load too… so if you call at 730 on a Fri or Sat don’t expect to get your pizza for about 45 – 60 mins

We ordered two pizzas from here — the House special and the Holy Shiitake Pie. The House special was nothing special(ha!) but wasn’t bad either. It is a-ok in my book, although the toppings on the pizza were so heavy, I couldn’t pick up a slice cleanly without a lot of stuff slipping off. Not a terrible thing to have too many toppings though! The Holy Shiitake Pie got a thumbs up from everyone in our group — I kept going back for seconds of this one. Flavor and texture were spot on! Would definitely get this one over and over again.

IMHO the best pizza crust you can get anywhere. I always get a Gourmet White and a Little Greek salad when I’m in town visiting.

Ordered the large gourmet white pizza($ 24.50) for take-out last night. It was a lot of dough with probably the amount of ingredients that they would put on a small. If they’re going to charge that much for a pizza, it had better be worth it. This wasn’t by a long shot. I feel cheated.

If you like white pizza, their’s is the best. Mellow Mushroom is a reliably good restaurant. Hero sandwiches on toasty french bread, are delish. If you live in the area and feel like pizza, give this place a try. The ambience kiind of reminds me of the«hippie» places I frequented at college, in upstate New York.

Totally had a FML experience here on Saturday evening. I was forced to spend the weekend in the ‘burbs because my parents were out of town and I had to dog and people sit. I was starving Saturday evening and was just finishing up running some errands and I thought a calzone sounded good. I was about 20 minutes away from the Shroom and so I called my order in. They said it would be about 30 minutes which was fine. I don’t mind waiting. I arrive there 20 minutes later and sit in the car writing some emails. I go in exactly 30 minutes after I placed my order. I go up to the cashier to pay and holy shit my calzone was $ 12. Are you kidding me??? I just had this calzone for like $ 8 something the other week in Smyrna. I have to pay extra just because I’m in fricking East Cobb??? Whatever. they say it’ll be a few more minutes and I have a seat to wait. I’m waiting, and waiting and waiting and there are kids running around everywhere and I even had my toes stepped on twice by a little rug rat. I was getting really annoyed really quick. 25 minutes later, a whopping 55 minutes after placing my order it was ready. Good lord. I get back to the parents house and sit down to eat the calzone. I thought to myself this shit better be good. Well guess what? It wasn’t. It was all soggy and gross. It was like all watery or something. I am guessing that they put the veggies in there and they were still wet or something. It was gross. I was hungry and didn’t have anything else to eat so I ate the unsoggy parts and called it a day. So annoyed by all of this. Next time I’m in East Cobb I’ll be taking my pizza business elsewhere(probably to Bellacino’s).
