Kids R Kids Learning Academy

I’ve been sending my baby to Kids R Kids since she was only 12 weeks old and she, her father, and I love it! We love that we can watch her anytime on
and know that the teachers there really care about her. Even the front desk staff knows her name and are always friendly. The teachers are constantly interacting with the children by getting down on the ground to be at their level. We are so happy we found Kids R Kids and would highly recommend them to anyone searching for a quality daycare.

This is the third daycare that my two children have attended. We’ve done small and large facilities, and this one I would classify as right in the middle, and just the right size. While we cannot speak to infant care, I can say that our experience in the 3s, (private) Pre-​K and Summer Camp/​After School program have been top-​notch.
There is significantly less staff turnover vs other places we’ve been, and the teachers and staff are caring, well-​trained professionals who clearly love coming to work each day. A complaint I’ve had with other centers has been food quality/​nutrition, but KidsRKids doesn’t throw junk food at my kids as the others — I really appreciate that around 5 PM!
KidsRKids is a great choice for working parents, as it’s open 6:30 — 6:30. While no parent wants to leave their kid at daycare for 12 hours, this affords the flexibility for that early meeting or unexpected traffic jam. The camps — after school (bus picks up from a couple of local elementary schools), summer and holiday — are great for school-​aged kids, whenever you need it. Very flexible and lots of fun activities and field trips, even a water park! with a fantastic teacher in charge. Who doesn’t love their kid learning when they don’t feel like they are, while they are on a school break?!
I was referred to this center, and I’ve referred it two 2 – 3 friends. There is usually a waiting list, so be sure to plan accordingly. People sometimes get disgruntled about that, but the demand speaks volumes — and the school isn’t crowding the classrooms to make an extra buck either.

It’s really a shame. My children were enrolled here for about 3 years… the staff is incredible and deserves a 5… the owner, in my humble opinion is a miserable person and at $ 300/​wk per child, there are probably better options for you in this part of town. If you are self-​employed and don’t have a regular paycheck… this is definitely not the spot for you.
With the economy where it is, I often have clients owing me substantial sums… it just is what it is. Over my time here, I would often be behind but always caught back up as soon as I was paid. My son is now in kindergarten but we fell behind last May or so. I communicated with the owner that I would come in to pay as soon as I had the funds. It took me a number of months to pay it off largely because I work long hours and wasn’t in the area during normal business hours to pay. Frank told me at one point that he needed a partial payment in good faith to get the «owners» off his back so they wouldn’t send me to collections. Frank is the owner. I finally did make it in to pay, got a receipt and thought we were all done… until I started getting letters from lawyers in the mail that I was being sued by Alcon! I thought it must be some mistake but Alcon is apparently Frank’s holding company for his Kids R Kids franchise. It was no mistake.
I’m not sure who sues someone over $ 300 but Frank is one of those folks. I went back into the Kids R Kids location and asked to speak with Frank. The manager said he was on vacation. I asked her if they were Alcon and she said yes. I was mad but in no way hostile. Just said that I had paid in full and why were they suing me? She said it must have been a mistake and that she would have Frank call me as soon as possible. I’m still waiting for the call but I did receive several emails from him that the manager felt «threatened» by me and that I should remain off the premises! Seriously? I then received another email from Frank stating that he basically filed a complaint in small claims court to collect the $ 100 legal charges and the $ 30 late fee! Alrighty then. So here’s a business owner who files a complaint on a long term client over an amount that has already been paid… just to collect the late fee and try to stick the client with the legal charge. So not happening.
Beyond that, this owner believes that it is okay to charge clients for services when the Governor has declared a state of emergency and ordered citizens to stay off the road. Last year and two years before, the roads were closed due to the icy conditions and good olde Frank still charged everyone for $ 60 each day for daycare that most weren’t able to use. Where’s the compassion?
This is east cobb and normally one would expect to see tons of reviews on a facility like this one. You probably don’t because parents don’t feel like being sued or threatened with a suit over a poor review. Again… great staff… just not a customer friendly owner.

We were previously at another Kids R Kids school and then moved to East Cobb. We loved our old school and didn’t know how anywhere else could compare. We soon realized that we LOVE this school even more! The amount of money that Mr. Frank puts back into the school is amazing. Spanish, Yoga, Mandarin, and Music are all included in tuition! On top of that, they bring in special enrichments (science guy, juggler, music performances, etc) regularly for the kids to enjoy — even the babies get to be apart of it! Every classroom has multiple computers and the kids never ‘want’ for anything that will enhance their education! You won’t regret this decision!

Kids R Kids is absolutely HORRIBLE! My daughter was there for only a few weeks before I pulled her out. There were so many problems such as teachers not even acknowledging her when I dropped her off, there were way more kids in the class than I was told there would be, several days she was wearing some other kids shoes when I came to pick her up, there was a bite mark on her arm that no one could tell me about, and those are just some of the issues. There were more! I beg you to choose other childcare. Primrose at Oregon Park is way better!!! I would recommend them.

We’ve had at least one of our children at this Kids-​R-​Kids location since 2005. We have been very impressed with their level of expertise, their professionalism, their communication, and above all, their care for our kids. The cost is reasonable too. I don’t think you’ll find a better deal with a higher caliber of staff and a nicer facility.
We had experiences with two other day cares before we came to this Kids-​R-​Kids, and we found that the other centers were sorely lacking in communication and were not proactive. Case in point, one daycare, located in the heart of Buckhead, had a lot of transient traffic outside the location. People complained, but the center directors did nothing until an attempted car jacking.
Additionally, at this same daycare, parking was a nightmare. There was only one way in, and you had to back your car out of a busy parking lot. I compare this with Kids-​R-​Kids on Johnson Ferry where you can circle around the building and more easily get in or out.
Granted, during prime time, the spaces might be full, and you might need to wait a few minutes, but it’s never that bad.
The center is located in the back of an office park, so it’s kind of «off the beaten path» and has never had problems with purse-​snatching from unlocked cars that often happens at the Crème-​de-​la-​Crème center located on Woodlawn.
The center director, Julie, is very attentive and always listens to the concerns of parents. I’ve found her to be completely reasonable. All of the staff care deeply for our kids, and I cannot say enough good things about them. They have a very good summer program too. Each classroom has its own playground, and the center added a water park for summer use as well!
Also, unlike many day care centers, Kids-​R-​Kids will let you take two weeks at half-​pay each year for vacations. Many centers make you pay for a full week when you are on vacation. And although you have to pay for holidays here, the center is open most of the Christmas/​New Years break.
