Hilton Atlanta / Marietta Hotel & Conference Center

Nice, clean place with VERY comfortable beds, helpful staff. I would’ve given a much lower rating, due to the noise from the elevator repair (hammering) going on at SIX O’CLOCK IN THE MORNING, but they did move us to another room that was away from that. Nice property on a golf course, nice view if you get the right room/​s (odd numbered rooms!). What really irked me is that they charge $ 8/​day to park close to the door, otherwise your basically a second-​class citizen exiled out to no mans’ land. Reasonable room rates, prices for additional services, food, bar, etc. are ridiculous. Also, in May at 80 – 90 degrees, the pool was inaccessible.

This place is awesome, we stayed there for a week, and the rooms are nice and clean, very conformable, the halls are carpeted, art work on walls, gym, bar, restaurant (food could be a bit better for the price), the patio sitting is great they allow you to sit and eat have drinks there too, great golf course in back, shuttle that will take you about three miles for free, Patrick was awesome took me to the town square and even suggested great food. One comment to staff please add some garbage cans please. Also teach the bartenders about the importance of cutting someone off when they drunk, Shillings restraunt (best wings ever) stockyard burgers and bones (awesome food).
They have a confederate flag flying, didn’t bother me, oh I forgot pool, well front desk staff is okay too, maybe bring the price down on water (almost gauging at $ 6 a bottle. 20oz soda $ 4. Little over priced snack bar. Well thanks to staff and manager, except for over priced not worth it food and snack bar and lack of garbage cans an awesome hotel.

I do see a few negative reviews on here but that is the exact opposite of my recent experience. We were moving down to Marietta from Virginia and needed a clean hotel to stay at the night before closing. My husband was driving down with our small cat also. The staff here was amazing and very helpful. Our flights got totally messed up and our ride from the airport fell through — the front desk staff even called to get a car service from the airport for my daughter and I so we wouldn’t have to take a long cab ride. The hotel was immaculate even with accommodating pets. The bar staff was lovely with packing up food for us to have dinner in the room (we were wiped out from traveling). I was amazed to see so many dogs there. making it quite fun! Again, convenient, clean and friendly. Worked out very well for us! I highly recommend.

For what they charge and the appearance of the place, it’s a huge let-​down for my purposes. I use
for business travel as a way to amuse myself and write reviews while traveling solo. I got the room at a sold-​out time for $ 79/​nt ($ 107 when the whopping $ 25+ in taxes rolled around).
It’s advertised as almost a resort, and obviously a conference center. While the breakfast isn’t crappy like you’d get in a Hampton Inn, you do have to pay for it. Expect to spend $ 25 on breakfast — not ok with my company, so I’ll head to the Jerusalem Bakery for some middle-​eastern pastries before swinging into work. It’s a huge hassle to have to find a breakfast joint instead of eating the hotel’s bagels and bananas, though.
Now here’s the rub: the hotel is «sold out». I am not a Hilton Honors member and got a regular old room: two full beds, huge armoir with 3 huge deep drawers, and a teeny desk. The bathroom door swings inward and nearly touches the toilet while open, so opt for «full open» or «full closed» while in the bathroom. No alternative. Choose closed if you’re luckier than me and get hot water for a shower. It was barely lukewarm and I gave up after 10 minutes of fiddling with the controls. Fortunately the sink still had a trickle of Hot, so I was able to wipe down. Not fun heading into the office with a day of road trip stank I haven’t been able to shed!!!
Maybe I’m in the bank of rooms reserved for Those Who Did Not Pay Full Price, but it’s a sardine can and huge let-​down for a Hotwire «3.5 star» hotel. The lids don’t fit on the coffee cups! The coffee maker is in an open shelf of the armoir and completely unusable in the area they’ve provided (and mysteriously plugged it in so you can’t move it). There are no amenities usually afforded to travelers staying in the 3-​star hotels.
No shower and no coffee and I’m a really unhappy budget traveler who DIDN’T get a steal!

Beautiful, comfortable Hilton property that caters to pets. We stayed overnight with our kids and dog on Christmas Day. The hotel is beautiful with lots of southern charm. The rooms are mildly outdated but clean and comfortable with huge TV, desk, chairs and a fridge. We had plenty of room for a family of 4 with a dog. My husband and kids ate at the pub. My husband said «it was expensive and not good». Lots of other options nearby– they were all closed when we were there because of the holiday.

Pros:
This is a nice hotel located closer to downtown than midtown. The hotel has an executive floor which serves a simple American breakfast which is complimentary for the club rooms. They also have a reasonable cheese spread for the evening with a cash bar.
The views from the lounge area are fantastic as this is close to the top floor of the hotel.
My room was quite well appointed. Nothing to complain about but not fancy either. There was a king size bed with a small desk and an iron. The bathroom was neat and tidy. The tv selections were adequate although I didn’t really have too much time to spend watching TV.
Cons:
The main con is the location. There isn’t a whole lot to do in walking distance from the hotel.
Overall. For a Hilton this is not a bad hotel. The service was adequate as were the rooms.

Yea, this place is pretty sad. Jacuzzi was advertised and when we asked we were told it’s turned off. The point of a Jacuzzi is to sit in the hot water when it’s cold out. It’s cold out. Why is your Jacuzzi turned off?! Overall a very disappointing experience, especially for that price.

Very Comfortable and made for a great stay.
We drive down to Marietta every two of three months and the reason for this trip was to have Thanksgving with my sons and their family and to meet the newest member, Tyler Patrick age all of 10 days.
Decided to try this Hilton in part due to the fact that it is somewhat removed from I-​75 traffic yet still convient to everyplace we wanted ot go.
The hotel sits on the grounds of the old Geogia Military Institute which Sherman’s troops burned in 1864. They pick up on the heritage of the site with an Antebellum theme throughout the facility. Just off of the lobby, there is an orginal 4 pound cannon that belonged to GMI and was captured by the Union in 1864.
Our Northern Friends need not worry because everyone is warmly welcomed here.
Hotel is beautiful and well apportioned. Dark wood and polished marble from the days when Hotels put a premiun on elegance. The golf course is literally just a couple of feet of of the sweeping varanda on the back side of the building with sweeping views of Mt Kennesaw and surronding areas. Club house if next door.
Service is excellent and we did not want for anything during our stay.
Dining is another matter. They have a Restaurant called Hamiltons which is only open for Breakfast and Lunch although that can be spotty because if there is Conference on site, they reserve the right close. There is also a bar present called The Pub but again, it’s more a bar.
Not to worry because less than a mile up Powder Springs Rd is Marietta Square and there are a number of great restaurants there.
Do not expect free WiFI unless you are a HHilton Honors member. Only then is it free.
Great place to stay, relax and we will be back.

Admittedly, this is the only review I’ve written, but this was about my wedding, and I feel it’s warranted.
My wife and I got married here at the end of August. As far as the guests could tell, the wedding was lovely and went off without a hitch, but despite the beautiful grounds and Brumby Gardens, I would never recommend getting married here.
It was a little surprising that, when we checked in, we weren’t greeted as a wedding couple. We didn’t hear «Congratulations» or «Welcome to your wedding,» and were treated just like any other guests that came through the door. This wasn’t a big deal at the time, but a signal of things to come.
My mother had called the hotel a few weeks before, to ask to buy a bottle of champagne to have in the room when we arrived. She was told there was no need, that champagne would be waiting for us anyway. It was not, nor did anyone say anything about champagne.
The only stress or anxiety that came out of our wedding was brought on us by the incompetence of the Event Coordinator, Christine Podwoski. She was our liaison with the Hilton, and had helped arrange everything with us up until the wedding day, when she disappeared. We couldn’t find her for hours while we were scrambling to ask for more tables and running to the front desk whenever we had a question. The first time we saw her, she was showing the gardens where we were setting up TO ANOTHER COUPLE. Instead of being available for the clients who’d already paid $ 8,000 to have their wedding, she was giving precedence to trying to sell the gardens to someone else. This was a slap in the face. We have no delusions that a hotel should shut down all new business when an event is going on, but ignoring the clients who were already there and getting married in 3 hours was beyond reprehensible.
On the night of the wedding, I went to the bar to get my bride a glass of champagne. I was snarkily told by the bartender, «No champagne, what else does she want?» Besides wanting to smack someone on my wedding day, it was disconcerting that the full, premium bar we had paid for had no champagne FOR A WEDDING. My wife and I had to scramble to find the lead server to ask for champagne, which, after some arguing, he brought us.
Christine had promised us – in writing — that we could have a reserved brunch for the guests before their departure at 11am. As we arrived, the staff was shutting brunch down, and we were told that no such reservation existed. Again, we had to prove what was promised to us before the staff begrudgingly set the buffet back up, even though Christine had promised us a menu from which to order. We never received the menu, either.
As opposed to ending our wedding weekend riding off into the sunset, we unfortunately felt the need to start our life together by telling the General Manager, Dwayne, about all the anxiety Christine’s lackluster job had caused.
We are not complainers. My wife and I have worked in Food & Beverage, at hotels and restaurants and bars, for a combined 20+ years, and we were appalled to be treated like this on our wedding, after paying so much money to the hotel. Dwayne was frustrated with his staff, and comped our hotel room, which was very generous of him. But he also promised to call our parents, who’d helped pay for the wedding, to apologize to them.
He never contacted them, which is why I’m writing this review.
It was the final straw, that, again, we were promised something that we did not receive. It is for these reasons that I would NEVER recommend getting married at the Marietta Hilton. It’s insane to me that we paid so much money to be treated like wedding cattle, wrangled through fence so the Hiltons can eat their steak.

The décor needs to be updated in the conference rooms I felt like I was in the 90s. The carpet and lighting in the conference room needs work as well. As for the room I stayed in it was a little out dated as well. I did enjoy sitting in the rocking chair looking at the golf course. The staff was always ready to assist with our request.

Mixed review. Breakfast wait staff phenomenal– the very best. Housekeeping not so much. Room didn’t get cleaned on day 1 (we were gone all day until 4 pm). Around 5 we told them not to bother, just give us clean towels. Next morning (today), woke us up at 8:30 but didn’t clean room – was just going door to door making a list! We got the manager involved and got the room cleaned. Now trying to get a little pool time — gate locked (pool maintenance guy «forgot» to open gate when the pool has technically been open for 1 ½ hours) and there are no clean pool towels! They are clearly not ready to be «open» 1 ½ hours after opening). We called the front desk and let them know there were no towels — still haven’t rectified, so it doesn’t appear to be a priority. I expect at least minimum service standards from Hilton Hotels.

We always have a great time here. Our wedding after party was in the bar and we had many guests stay in this hotel. Over the years we have been very satisfied and pleased with the staff.
Dave Jenkins in catering is a sweetheart. He’s always helpful and friendly to everyone. He’s a tremendous asset to HILTON!

I will say that after posting this, the general manager did reach out and make amends, so for that I must give them credit. I still wouldn’t stay here.

The décor might be a little off-​putting depending on where in the country you’re coming from or what your opinions on certain events in history are, and the hotel is very understaffed, but besides that, it is a pleasant stay. Also, they don’t have automatic or rotating doors, or doormen in the entrance, which makes bringing your luggage in very difficult. They really need to hire more people…
The staff is friendly for the most part (one front desk woman had an attitude, but she was one of the only people working there in a totally booked hotel) and the rooms are clean and comfy. The maid service comes very late in the day, which I appreciate, as I like to relax in my room and sleep in.

I played here again a month ago and had a pretty similar experience. For the price I just expect more.

I stayed one night here for a special event.
Not the greatest Hilton in the world. Older property, small rooms and hard to get to property. Also, a lot of high schoolers were running up and down the halls at late hours.
As a Diamond Hhonors member, I expected a free breakfast, but only got a $ 6 buffet breakfast. The breakfast was okay, but nothing spectacular. The staff there seemed very fatigued.
I also had to wait 30 minutes for the one on-​duty front desk person to finish her break on Sunday morning before the shuttle driver could take me to the nearby CCTV station. Not his fault, but poor staffing by the hotel’s management.

Booked an online reservation using my points. I’m diamond status and you typically get a little gift when you check in. Even just a bottle of water. Ugh NO!
First of all reservations here are meaningless because they didn’t have the room I reserved. No King beds in the whole damn city so I’m out of luck. Then the front desk «lady» charged me for the room. When I inquired she said I used the cash/​points options. I did NOT and have the email and confirmation to prove it. Then my phone died and she refused to call Hilton to straighten it out so I wouldn’t be charged.
WHERES THE CUSTOMER SERVICE???
Obviously I was upset by this point but little miss unprofessional decided to play the victim and say I shouldn’t be upset with her. I told her she shouldn’t mistreat guests and her sarcastic response to talk to her manager sealed the deal. She even shout out their name as I walked to the elevator.
This person should be fired. This sorry representative of a lousy hotel who can’t get anything right doesn’t need to be seen in public. I’m going to state the obvious here but when you treat people like that. They don’t like it. Mind Blown!
DONT STAY HERE AND FOR GOD SAKES DONT EXPECT ANY GOOD SERVICE!

There’s no valet parking, which I’m used to coming from LA and would have been helpful since we had a 2 month old with us.
Again, maybe it’s just different here since I come from LA, bit the staff just seemed kinda slow and not very attentive. I’m just used to way better service. Other than that, the hotel itself is kinda average– not bad, just nothing special.

HOTEL No Tell
I am NOT a fan of HOTELS but I do know that SOMETIMES they are necessary and this is one of those times!
It’s a few days before turkey day I am out visiting my fam in the ATL! I have always seen this place just passing by on the street on the way to somewhere else but this time I actually got a chance to go in!
I read a few reviews and it would seem if you are getting married and having a reception here then this is a good place BUT if you are in town and need a place to stay LOOK ELSE where.
The name «Hilton» makes you think this place is going to be AT LEAST nice and I guess it was that! It is not until you REALLY settle in that you get the full take on this place!
I was lucky enough to be able to stay with my dad and my mom! I would have come in the freezing cold and the middle of the night had they told me I needed to stay here!
I had a chance to come over and pick up family and spend some time with cousins just hanging out and this is NOT what I would consider a top of the line HILTON hotel! Maybe middle of the road to down the road and around the corner,
While hanging out with cousins until the weee hours of the night or morning as it would be! We hared all sorts of noises coming from our neighbors rooms! EVERYTHING from the TV across the hall to them talking… So I know they heard us!
We all decided that we would call it a night because we did not want to disturb anyone since the WALLS WERE APPARENTLY PAPER THIN! If we could hear them they for certain could her us and our kakaling, giggling and laughing. It’s hard work trying to play catch up in a few days!
As I was walking back to the car I could here water running like the person was taking a shower in the hall where I was walking! I heard a toilet flush and all sort of prono noises that I could have NOT EVER have heard in my life and been ok with missing out! It was a bit disturbing! Intimacy is great when people in the hall are not included!
Anyway I really felt bad for my family having to stay in the place! The other amenities seemed ok but the SUPER THIN WALLS was just a bit too much for me!
Had I been actually staying there myself I would HAVE CHECKED OUT and went somewhere else even it is was further to drive back and forth!
Please fix the paper thin walls! NO ONE wants to go to the bathroom with people they do not know! SOme things DO NOT need an audience!

I can’t wait to check out!!! I’m here for a business trip and my co-​workers reserved this hotel. First of all it is NOT sound proof. The heat/​air conditioning unit makes loud clanking noises. You hear EVERYTHING from conversations in the hallway to your neighbors snoring and intimate moans… ugh help!
The rooms are clean and the hotel staff are friendly. The lobby and area near the elevators needs updating. The on-​site restaurant called the Pub can use a life line. It is run down and the food is Zzzzzzzz.
If you plan to stay here be sure to pack all of your necessities. The hotel’s store is a rip off and taking full advantage of it’s guests by charging exuberant prices. For example: $ 4 for a bottle of coke??? Come on Hilton where are you hiding the vending machines so I don’t go broke?
I recommend this hotel only if you have to stay in this area.
