As the founder of Dermatology Affiliates in 2004, Dr. Forney is dedicated to healthy, beautiful skin.

One issue she feels strongly about is sun damage and its consequences, as seen by the wide variety of sun hats available in the office and by Dr. Forney’s knowledge on the subject. As a medical student, she spent 12 weeks studying skin cancer in Melbourne, Australia, and at the CDC in Atlanta.

«I enjoy finding skin cancer early, and treating and preventing sun damage,» Dr. Forney says. «I try to stay current on all of the new science related to treating and preventing skin cancers and photoaging.»

In developing treatment options for all types of skin issues, Dr. Forney likes to use both her knowledge of the patient and of medicine to create healthy skin for the long term.

I’m sitting here trying to figure out what just happened. I walked in, paid $ 70, had a «visit» with Dr. Clay and then tried to show her my concerns. She blurted out just enough quick info but didn’t really take the time to look at my spots that I was concerned with. I asked her to please come look at the spot on my arm since it had been a concern and she said «I really have to get going.» I was pushed out the door after being quoted almost $ 350 in face creams that they sell to help with wrinkles. It left a lot to be desired and I’m in search now of a dermatologist who has time for me. Apparently I’m not the only one who has been unsatisfied. As I was checking out the nice lady at the counter asked if I wanted to go ahead and schedule my next visit. I told her «no I don’t think I’ll be returning». She responded, «yeah I don’t blame you.» :o

I visited Dr Erickson based on the reviews on saw on Web.
Frst of all, the office is really dark and old with some bold colors that is not cool for an office.
We had a biopsy, waiting for a call or mail for the results. Quite funny that all medical bills from office and lab are delivered right to my address, but I didn’t receive any biopsy results in mail. I made a call after one month to followup on the biopsy results, the staff told me that Dr Erickson didn’t sign it and they will leave a message for nurses. Nurses called us and left a message to call them back. This happened back and force several times. Seriously, why don’t you leave the message on the phone. It really made me worry that they want to deliver a horrible news.
Anyhow, actually they had the results and Dr had actually signed it off. It just tells me that people there don’t know what they are doing. As I said, they do care more to send the bills other than the results. No respect to patients and eventually after I was successful to pick their call, they just said there is nothing serious in biopsy.
I will never come back to a place where they have no respect to patients and the fact they are anxious to get their results as soon as possible.
As for Dr Erickson, I was disappointed too. She was in such a rush. Didn’t like to listen and very quickly went over some sentences as if she has memorized them from a book and left the room and only returned for taking a sample from the skin.

This is about the service only. My boyfriend made an appointment with Dr. Abbot about three weeks ago, and they cancelled it today while he was driving down there! How considerate and professional this is!!! Well, if you are going to be a new patient there, I wish you good luck and can get some care for your condition and some respect for your time!

Great staff! I came to the marietta office and saw Dr. Errickson and I highly encourage anyone to see Dr. Errickson or another staff member at Dermatology Affiliates. The staff is friendly and know what they are talking about. I had 2 moles removed and did not feel a thing. yay drugs!

Dr Forney is the best dermatologist in ATL. I have been her patient for 15+ years.
Her staff is first rate too. I have tried many other dermatologists over the years, but she is by far the best. Take my advice and avoid sunbathing, wear SPF 80 and a visor, and have an annual skin cancer exam. You can get a spray tan if it is that important to you.
After two MOHS surgical procedures for pre skin cancerous growths on my face, I am done with the sun. She had a cute cartoon in her office suggesting that being in the sun makes you look like a raisin. What woman wants a face like that?

Dr. Corinne Erickson is one of the kindest, most understanding doctors I have ever dealt with. It is immediately apparent that she truly cares about her patients. She also has a great wealth of knowledge. I would not hesitate to recommend her and I would do so emphatically. It’s quite difficult to find a doctor who is both highly knowledgeable and also effortlessly comfortable to confide in. She is a fantastic asset to this practice.

I started seeing Dr. Ward over a year ago, initially for my annual mole check, and I LOVED her. Sadly, she moved to Mississippi in the spring. I was then given Dr. Erickson, who is just as wonderful! With both doctors, neither ever minded my million questions about everything. This is not a place where they require you to make additional appointments for different issues. They always give me free samples to try. I have only heard glowing reviews of this firm and was highly recommended by my friend, who grew up seeing Dr. Forney. The office is extremely friendly and professional and will go out of their way to make sure you get the best service. I HIGHLY recommend this practice. There are two locations (I’ve only gone to the Marietta office), so check that out too.

I love tanning. Really, I do. It’s not that I enjoy laying in my own sweat for 15 minutes, but I think I look good with a little color. It’s no surprise that my weekly appointments would eventually catch up with me. Unfortunately, it wasn’t just premature aging that got me. I just found out that I might have skin cancer.
It all started a few weeks when I came to visit Dr. Forney for the first time. She came highly recommended and I was lucky to get an appointment at the last minute in Marietta (Buckhead would have been my preference, but beggars can’t be choosers, right?). She noticed a mole on my chest and «suggested» that I have it removed. My concern was about the pain and she clearly explained the minor biopsy procedure, so I agreed to have it scraped off to be tested. The results weren’t the worst, but hearing that I need to come back to have some additional «a-​typical» cells removed wasn’t exactly comforting.
I am so grateful to Dr. Forney for seeing what might have become something worse and giving me an amazing amount of information so I could make the right decision in a quick amount of time.

Dr. Forney changed my life.
Now while you may think this is an outlandish statement to be said about a dermatologist, I assure you it’s true. I started seeing Dr. Forney when I was 14 or 15 with typical teenage skin problems– acne, complete lack of knowledge about sun protection, and the occasional mole that my mom was paranoid about. I saw her sporadically for a couple of years, got my various elixirs, and she was always extremely kind and knowledgable. Teenagers are a difficult breed to deal with and she never made me embarrassed and I felt comfortable talking with her even though I saw her so rarely.
It wasn’t until the summer after I graduated college that things really changed. I decided to see Dr. Forney for one last mole checkup before I moved to DC, since she knew my background the best. We chatted for a bit about some problems that I had been having, and that’s when she recommended I talk to my other doctors about the possibility of me having a rather common but relatively unknown condition that would explain all of these symptoms I had been dealing with since puberty. I was formally diagnosed with the condition about 2 weeks later, and I can’t thank Dr. Forney enough for telling me about it (even though it’s an endocronological/​gynecological thing, NOT dermatological) because otherwise I don’t think I ever would have known what was «wrong» with me. It really is amazing when you have a doctor that goes above and beyond her research and studies and is able to use that knowledge to help her patients.
In addition, all of her nurses and staff were very kind, patient, and professional.
