So I absolutely love this store for what it is… Quick buys in a convenient location. The complaint I do have is that the employees are rude as hell… They don’t smile, are easily distracted and don’t like to answer questions. If the store had better employees I may come more.

I went to the Terrell Mill location today. It mirrors the layout of Ross(parent store) and actually was neater. I’m a bargain shopper but there was a definite demographic the store targets. Low income, ethnic women pretty much. I did appreciate finding quality kids brands — French Toast cargo pants and Denizen from Levi’s for $ 8.99. I’ll return and add to my roster of discount brands for cheap!

OK… Stop the presses. I did NOT realize that this was even possible, but Ross Department Stores actually has a ‘discount store’, DD’s Discounts. Now, this location just opened in the Smyrna/Marietta area. For a long while, we were extremely doubtful that it would even open at all. This place will always hold a certain spot in my heart, it was the former location of my favorite discount store of all time, Little Bucks. They shut down due to some horrible business decisions of someone that was mislead, then it was a furniture store. The store shut down to make room for DD’s, it was ‘coming soon’ for goodness knows how long. Finally opened, so here we are. My husband who likes to wander around the area just to see what is going on dragged me there for giggles today. We saw quite a few things to create a chuckle. They have a prominent sign that lets all of us know they accept ebt, I have never seen that declared. We noticed that they have quite a few nice items in housewares, a gym bag that I have been searching for months & some of those ‘as seen on tv’ items at a fraction of a price. I noticed that they even had doorknobs & deadbolts at attractive prices. DD’s… Ross’ cheap lil’ sister…
