Cumberland Crossing Aparments

This place is not conducive for a living environment. It has massive roaches. In the beginning they stated they didnt have roaches just so you can sign the lease. I have had to report issues every week. They don’t fix things until 2 months later. They are nasty in the office. We have had to go to the office several times for issues not resolved and when speaking to the property manager she stated we bought the insects there .and she stated she didn’t give a f***. In those very words. reported this to her head office and there was no luck because it lead back to her the property manager /​regional manager… Do Not MOVE Here .A disaster waiting to happen.

I have lived here for a few months. They have some affordable apartments that still offer a lot of room, unlike my last apartment. I moved here due to the price and the convenient location. However, I have noticed a lot of things in my short time here that are off putting.
First, the office never answers the phone. They don’t even give you the option of talking to a real person in fact. You can leave a message and they might give you a call back if you’re lucky. It’s a much faster process (but not by much!) to go to the office in person.
Next, the rooms are almost literally thrown together. I noticed cabinet doors trying to fall off of the cabinet themselves. They aren’t screwed in, but adhered somehow and then painted over… Same with my towel racks in the bathroom, which are also trying to fall off… Just today I went to get something from one of the coat closets and the doorknob came off! (The final straw so to say, because that’s when I decided I had to do a review! IRRITATING)
Lastly, everyone just kind of leaves their trash everywhere.
The maintenance staff does daily pickups around the community which help a lot but I guess there’s only so much they can do. There are bits of broken glass everywhere, usually alcohol containers. The garbage area is usually a mess because some residents just don’t care enough to actually place in in the garbage area. My breezeway always looks gross and like it needs a good mopping.
So, with all that, if you’re looking for somewhere cheap with pleasant floor plans, this place is great. It’s also not too bad looking of a neighborhood. Also if you have kids, because there are plenty of them! They all seem to be okay, but they are loud. However be aware that you will have to do some home improvement…

I am very surprised at the lack of reviews. Or actually that there are none at all. I lived here for 3 years and recently moved out. I have seen everything from robbery, to arrests, to a rat and roach infestation in my apartment. The complex does what they can and the leasing office is always nice and respectable but it is not enough to save them from a bad review. Granted its the cheapest you’ll find around but that doesn’t have to equate to dirty or uninhabitable. I would not recommend this place and the high turnover rate reinforces my recommendation. I’ve made awesome memories here and have always saw the brighter side of things but the bugs and rat (not mouse) were enough for me to want to write about my experience so that I may save some someone from a dreadful living condition. Take everything with a grain of salt but this is just my experience. Ask plenty of questions like who the previous tenant was. Ask about infestations. Ask neighbors who live there if they would lease another year. Best of luck.
