This place gets me every time. Spectacular service and great food. The consistency is always on 100%. Not to mention they are the best rated Jamaican restaurant in Atlanta and the whole of Cobb county.

Just as the reviews said it, this is a legit Jamaican restaurant. Me and my wife pulled up to a empty restaurant, but soon as we got out of our vehicle we were greeted by the chef, and to my knowledge the owner, in a very friendly environment. It was my wife’s first time trying ANY Caribbean food and I had to make a good impression by finding a legit Jamaican restaurant. He promptly started explaining the dishes to my wife, and even asked what degree of spiciness we would like our meals. No Jamaican restaurant ever asked me because most don’t make it fresh to order like this guy does. I had the jerk chicken and my wife had the curry shrimp. Both were absolutely delicious. No baked jerk here. Charbroiled and fall off the bone. The curry shrimp portion was gigantic. I’ve never seen such a big shrimp portion in GA. The rice was perfect to fit the meals and the cabbage was plenty flavorful. Plantains were delicious also as a side. We also shared a beef and chicken patty which were probably the best I’ve had in GA/LA. Nice, warm, flaky, and just bursting with overall flavor. I would come here every time I need a Jamaican cuisine fix. Limited menu as every Jamaican restaurant but is worth it. They have everything you need there.

Owner is absolutely great! Very helpful on what to order and he’s also the cook! Not a curry person but the curry shrimp is good! The beef patties tasty and not at all dry! Jerked chicken literally falls off the bone, and portions are very generous he gave us all the sides to try the plantains were my favorite ! Seems like not many people eat in but mainly order to go but still doesn’t take away from the quality of the place. They have plenty of seating inside and out if you do want to eat in. Nothing too special for eating inside but the outside patio is very inviting, plants, a swing, tables and umbrellas, very tropical feel to it. Price wise it’s not so bad, it’s about avg for any Jamaican place I’ve seen, definitely recommend checking out if you’re someone who enjoys Jamaican food or even interested in just trying it. You won’t be disappointed !

Jerk Chicken! Medium was a large portion of food! Meat was tender and generously seasoned! Cabbage mix was tender and seasoned well! Plantains were just right! Customer service superb! Overall great experience!

Well, I tried to find this place tonight but it wasn’t at the location specified. At least not by following the directions on Waze. I then tried to call the number listed in Unilocal, and somebody answered. Sounding like a personal cell phone. No indication that I actually reached the restaurant. No thanks.

Real deal Jamaican jerk chicken! Owner is super nice. We came here based on Unilocal reviews, and glad we did! The medium portion is plenty!

Found this place on Unilocal, and SO glad I did. Carl, the owner, is so friendly and so proud of his food — and with good reason. This food is excellent, legit Jamaican. We had the Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, the beef Patty and the rum raisin cheesecake. Fricken awesome. Best beef patty I have ever had. Great portions, quick service, friendly, excellent food, great value. They have a patio with nice outdoor seating(fish fry every Friday with music!), but we were inside bc of the rain. Go here. Please. I want this place to do well, because I plan on going here regularly.

Holy shi&£€x_x. This place is KILLING it! The curry goat will blow your mind. If you dont like this place then you dont like authentic Jamaican food. This was truly a great surprize. I couldnt even wait to get home to review this. Tips… get the ginger beer and definitely try(or at least split) the rum raisin cheese cake. WOW! Im officially a regular.

All the curries and whatnot have chopped bones. I understand that this is standard fare for many of these sorts of places, but I am a huge fan of those few that have no-bone options. I hate having to pick them out of those delicious rice and curry piles and it makes me sad each time I miss one and chomp down on it. That aside, flavors are good and portions are generous. Prices are about average compared with other Jamaican places. Good selection. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating as well. Friendly staff. No bones in the meat patties! haha

One of the unexplainable anomalies in the restaurant world… truly GREAT authentic Jamaican cuisine but I was one of five customers during the peak lunch hour!!! The Brown Stew Chicken is just like I got when lived in South Florida! The Lunch Special is $ 5.99 and the perfect amount of food.

I ate here 1 week ago. I had a beef patty, A gender beer, and goat curry. It was all absolutely delicious. My dad had the brown stew chicken and it was also amazing. I’m glad that I came in and tried this place because it was so worth it! I will definitely be back.

I am not sure what happened with the bad reviews. I have eaten here twice and it has been excellent both times. I have tried the Curry Chicken and jerk Chicken and I found both to be very tasty, well-seasoned, and the portions were great. Both times I told myself that was too much food and I eat it any way. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and courteous. My orders came out in a timely manner. I will be back. All I can report on is my experience and both times I have had a great meal. So try it for yourself…

The owner cooks all the food fresh made to order and it shows! First thing you walk in you are greeted just like family. He really gives you the full Jamaican experience and even played some fun music from Jamaica. The food from the appetizer to the main course to the dessert are all equally mouthwatering. Definitely the next place to go when trying something new!

Let’s just say I didnt even get through a quarter of the plate. I was keen on getting a great lunch and I was too far from my regular place. So Unilocal found this spot. I walked in and ordered a medium oxtail for 12 bucks. I get my plate and leave to go be unpublicly greedy at home. I just KNEW I stumbled on something, per reviews. I get home and the servicing size for a medium was really a small to me. The majority of my meal is rice and beans, lightly/hardly seasoned and dry at that. A bit of cabbage… I won’t even go into… it taste like it was just boiled, not seasoned or anything. A few slices of hard fried plantain, and like 5 pieces of black… meat. Can’t tell if burned or what but tough as taffy. It just really wasn’t worth 12 dollars compared to the bigger portions I can get elsewhere for less, && I live for big portions. So yeah, I tried it based on the reviews, Im def not coming back but it seems they need to come back to where I eat, for a real eye opener.

This guy really get it. Everything is great. Must try any of the currys or Jamaican Pattys(beef, chicken, veggie) The funny part, the veggie if my favorite. Great service. Please go and check it out.

Never heard of such poor customer service. Company catered a co-worker’s wedding and not only was 4h late but argued with them about every issue they presented. This should not be something you have to worry about/deal with on a wedding day. Very upsetting and disappointing. Would not recommend.

Unilocal comes through again. I occasionally use the search feature to cast a gaze around my office’s locale for interesting lunch spots. CoConutz came up, with positive reviews. It’s not hard to find, visibly located in a strip mall with easy parking. The space is a bit spartan — there’s a counter from which you order even if you’re dining in, and a few booths and tables. The tables by the window get a lot of sun, so I preferred an inside booth. Drinks are in a cooler behind you on your left as you order. Each time I’ve been, service is prompt and friendly from the one person there — the chef — who happily explains his menu, which you’ll find if you glance up to the wall. Very limited menu — a photo from another Unilocaler is posted here. Based on reviews, I’ve tried the jerk chicken, the goat curry, the macaroni side and the seasoned rice. Also two varieties of ginger beer, both bottled. I saw no evidence of the fresh ginger beer another reviewer mentioned. Perhaps it’s not offered any more. Jerk chicken: spicy, fall off the bone, very tasty. Two legs, half breast with medium order. I very much like this item. Macaroni side: unusually good Seasoned rice: heavily seasoned, includes red beans. You get a lot with your order. Goat curry: tons of flavor but way too salty for my tastes. Also, disturbingly, the goat is chopped up with the bone. I spent some time picking out about a dozen pieces, many large enough to cause a problem if swallowed. Bottled D&G Jamaican ginger beer: quite good Bottled VitaMalt ginger beer: not so good They also have Ting, which I do like. Overall, a very nice addition to the lunch rotation. The jerk chicken is outstanding and is apparently cooked outside on the two grills I saw. CoConutz also offers curry chicken and the Jamaican version of a meat pie. I must try those. I was also offered the choice of a cabbage side. I’ll have to try that, too.

Wow! Yes, that’s how I would like to start out this review. This lovely gem of a shop has been around since 2009 or so according to what I the owner told me. It is the essence of authentic. The Jamaican accent was surprisingly hard to understand sometimes, especially when his good buddy came in to eat what appeared to be his regular order of takeout. They were just talking heartily, and I could only stand at the bar enjoying the feeling of visiting Jamaica. Except it’s very conveniently located just off Canton Rd in a strip mall. On to the food and service. I loved it. They have a 100 A health rating; I’m pretty sure it can’t be better than that. He let me sample the Brown Stew Chicken, ah man, I’m dreaming of that delicious mildly spicy flavor right now… apparently the jerk chicken is a hot item because he did not have any when I visited. But the brown stew chicken and beef patty were both very tasty. The seasoning he uses is excellent. The brown stew chicken comes with well seasoned rice, and what I think was lettuce(I’m not very good with my leaves). The dish was very well crafted and balanced. The meat just melts right off the bone. Mmm… the guy was super friendly and passionate about customer service and quality product. I have mad respect for this entrepreneur doing his thing out in the free market bringing great stuff to the table. He mentioned wanting to do cookouts out on his patio when the weather is warmer to have some sweet community hangouts. i wished I lived nearby; I would frequent this place at least a couple times a month, which is a lot for me because I rarely eat out. Ya, man!
