We gave these guys a deposit of $ 495 to re-​upholster some cushions for a couch set.
A few days later we changed our minds. Chong’s refused to refund our deposit, and said that was their policy. Even though we were never told this or signed anything.
When I told them it was «unprofessional» of them to keep a deposit for work that wasn’t done. They got testy with me and said I was «unprofessional».
I can understand keeping a deposit if they had bought fabric or done any work, but they didn’t do anything. And then to get ugly with me.
I have used them before but never will again.
Follow up–
After posting this review on-​line, I did get a call from them saying they would refund my deposit. But it was not a pleasant experience and I won’t use them in the future.
