Art Cleaners

The sign out front says they clean leather and suede and also offer shoe repair. So when I stained a pair of leather boots I thought they’d be the perfect place to go. I walked in and before I could even say hello or what I needed, the woman behind the counter informed me «we don’t do that kind of shoe». So I asked if they might be able to clean the leather and she said «not for that shoe». So I asked if she had any ideas of how I could clean it myself, and she replied with «I don’t know very much and nothing about leather». Hm. Shoe repair and leather cleaners who don’t know anything and won’t repair boots and have terrible customer service. Maybe they’re great if they decide to actually help you but I won’t be finding out.
