History

Established in 2010.

Glo-​Bowl Fun Center was built for families to come and enjoy good food in a FUN environment. Thirty years ago there was a movie theater, roller rink and 2 bowling alleys in Marengo. In the 1990’s all that was gone. Helen Lindow wanted to bring families together and give the youth of Marengo a place to have fun. That is how Trio Grille and Glo-​Bowl fun Center was born. Nine partners, four years of planning and the doors finally opened. Since then, we have hosted hundreds of events. We help start the Marengo Indians Bowling teams, that have sent players to Sectionals and State tournaments. Held countless FUNdraiser and donated to many causes in Marengo, Hampshire, Harvard, Genoa and Huntley. Since Aug. ’14, we have donated over $ 10,000 in goods to supports children and families in our community.

As the Ambassador of Fun, I want everyone that walks through our doors to have a safe and enjoyable time. That must come from my years as a School Social Worker and from working in retail. People work hard for their money and I want them to feel that coming here was worth their time and money. Since opening, I have made wonderful friends that I might never have met. Gaining weight from the great food wasn’t part of my plan.
