Franks Gerkin McKenna was originally established in 1972. The representation and protection of our clients’ legal rights has been our overriding priority for more than 50 years.

Since its formation, the firm has provided its clients with the high level of legal expertise and experience and personal attention. The firm’s continuous growth reflects our clients’ satisfaction with the quality of professional service they receive.

We will continue to recruit attorneys and staff who routinely go beond the normal standards of legal representation. This ongoing effort is led by the firm’s partners, Herb Franks, Peggy Gerkin, Terry McKenna, Jack Franks, Steve Greeley and Joe Ponitz.

I am an attorney and a Partner at Franks Gerkin McKenna — one of the largest and most esteemed law firms in the region. At a firm that encompasses all areas of the law, I specialize in personal injury, workers’ compensation, litigation, collections, and local government law. As an injury lawyer, the goal is to get the injured person the money they deserve as soon as possible. My knowledge of the law and my ability to take all the necessary actions allow me to obtain the largest settlement possible. I take pride in getting people money for their injuries.

I am also active in the community. I am Chairman for the McHenry County Historical Preservation Commission and a Board Member for Prairie State Legal Services which provides legal services to those in need. Recently, I helped Franks Gerkin McKenna raise $ 35,000 for Prairie to continue to advocate for the underprivileged. Coaching my children’s activities, playing golf, snow boarding fishing and camping are hobbies that I enjoy.
