Clean fresh grass, no sand pits, Small dog side, staff is friendly, and no one leaves their poo in the grass!!! Mid-morning on Saturdays is best for small dogs, lots of dogs to play. Double gate with wash area. And the people are always nice.

Canine Cove is a great little park on Marco Island. With all the wonderful beach on Marco Island, there is no dog friendly beach. This is the only dog friendly park on Marco Island that I am aware of. This area has nice big trees for added shade. Has a great bunch of benches for the parents of the fur babies. It also has a magnificent view of the water way and the palm trees. Can’t deny you are on paradise here. Of course some sand and the beach right there would make it even more perfect, but this was a nice beach separated by gates for the small and big dogs. At the time that we went, it was the scorching july sun. no one was there. We planted our self under the trees. We have a portable fan mister, so we had fun there. Lots of places to make sure the dog waste is taken care of properly as well as toys and balls for the dogs. I am giving this 4 stars for the area. It would be 5 if it was right on the beach.

This is a great dog park located in Marco Island. It has two sides: one for small dogs and one for large dogs. I have a large dog and the size of the large dog side is perfect. He has room to run, jump and play. The dogs are generally friendly and fun loving. Parking is easier than I realized. For the first few visits I’d park of the Rec Center and walk across the park. Later I realized there was a special parking lot right next to the dog park. Instead of turning on Andalusia and heading to the Rec Center, continue on Heathwood and to Lily Court. Enjoy this place.
