Marblehead Cycle

Marblehead cycle helped find me the perfect mountain bike. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. Highly recommend!

I went to Marblehead Cycle to get saddle bags installed on my Trek. The prices were reasonable and they performed the installation while I was having lunch across the street. Honestly, I can’t really think of anything I would improve.
Oh, maybe cocktails while you wait?

Just bought my Lexa S, here. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of Treks and Specialized. No pressure, there when you needed them. Also was very accommodating of our dog and small child ;) Larry was very friendly and helpful! Also great prices!

Bought a bike here. The shop was well under MSRP. Nice staff too. No pressure, just friendly service.

So its been a bunch of years since my first review and over this time we became regulars at this shop, buying and upgrading bikes for pretty much the entire family.
Chris and the guys are very knowledgeable and I do feel they have customers best interest in mind when recommending an option or an upgrade. It is also an awesome place to hangout, everybody is super friendly.
I’ve been to a great many bike shops both in Massachusetts and Florida and this one is the best of the bunch, no doubt about it. I really wish they would expand the business though, the space seems a bit cramped and dated

Don’t spin your wheels… rIde over to Marblehead Cycle for a great selection of bicycles. beginner to avid… skilled mechanics and replacement parts.
Chris has been in the business for decades and I have tremendous confidence in his ability to recommend components and bicycles as well as fixing the most complicated mechanical issues…

This bike shop is reputable and in a nice part of Marblehead, convenient to the community.
However, that being said, it’s a bit high-​priced given the market for bikes at some other bike shops. Service, accessories and bikes themselves are sold at a premium…
If you live in Marblehead and convenience is paramount to you, then this can be a decent option. But if price is important, there are some other good options in nearby towns.

Had to put in a good word for the guys at Mhd Bike Shop after having an awesome repair experience. After hauling my bike to Burlington and other far-​off destinations in search of a good mechanic AND good service, I got both with Chris and John. They called me when they had a time slot to work on my bike so I could keep riding until they had an opening for me. Once they had the bike, they had me on speed dial and told me what was wrong, what they recommended and why to fix the issue. They have years of experience with bikes both working on them, fitting them and riding them. The cost was fair and the service and results top notch. Thanks, guys! Horrible place! Was promised a price match over the phone (just wanted to deal with a store closer to my house), after getting a quote from shop in Danvers, but when I got there, the guy named John, who I spoke on the phone with, told me the price he gave me earlier that day is impossible to match. Liar, rude and greedy. Don’t waste your time here. I ended up getting bike from «Western cycle» in Danvers, where I received an outstanding customer service and promised price!

Unfortunately there aren’t many other local bike shops in town… I’ll hate to have to go here again in a pinch.
Terrible, terrible service. Not friendly at all and overpriced to boot. I’m the first to go to the local shop before anything else but next time I’ll be looking elsewhere.
