Haley’s Wines & Market Café serves breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. From fresh fruit salads, and oatmeal to corned beef hash, homemade soups and burgers, all our meals are homemade and delicious! We serve dinner on Thursday and Friday nights ’til 9pm.

Choose from delicious cheeses, soups and salads in our-​take out market. We are known for our homemade Cornish pasties, chicken pot pies and steak and ale pies; sold frozen so you can ‘bake them fresh’.

Haley’s Wines & Market Café features delicious boutique, sustainable and organic wines from producers around the globe as well as a diverse selection of local, craft, organic, gluten free and imported beers. (We also have a super selection of the usual fare). We stock a wide variety of cool bar gadgets, accessories, giftware and funky hostess gifts.

Because of Massachusetts state law, Haley’s is not permitted to serve alcoholic beverages on premise, but we do encourage take-​out!

History

Established in 1912.

The liquor license at Haley’s was originated after prohibition. The store was in the Haley/​Kelley family until Julie V. purchased it in 2008. One hundred years!

A self-​proclaimed foodie and gourmet fanatic, owner Julie purchased Haley’s in 2008. Julie’s broad experiences include: serving gourmet food in fine-​dining restaurants from Pittsburgh to Chicago, setting up catering services for celebrities touring the Chicago area, and owning a highly successful café and catering company to the adjoining Haley’s.

Haley’s was exactly what we were in the mood for! A quick, fresh, filling breakfast in a small town right on the water. We had the special bagel sandwich, with egg, sausage, and smoked cheddar, plus a pumpkin scone. So delicious and the perfect way to start the day. The coffee was good, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had different roasts available. I wish I could have this breakfast every day!

Although I grew up in Marblehead, I had never taken the time to sit and eat in Haley’s. I have mainly gone in to purchase wine or run in for a quick snack.
This week my boyfriend and I needed some time out of the house to get some work done. We connected to their wifi and enjoyed their delicious ice coffee and some lovely panini sandwiches.
As usual, all were kind and helpful. It’s a nice place to go if you want to relax, get some work done, or meet with a friend and catch up. Proud to support this business in my home town.

This is a great place to go sit with nice sunlight to do work and have some breakfast or lunch. They have great vegetarian options. Lunch wise they have a great black bean burger. For breakfast I usually grab the egg white breakfast wrap with black beans and spinach. My only complaint is that when I get it to go it’s soggy within minutes. On weekends they have a veggie hash that’s great. Looking forward to trying dinner there.

Counter service with a handful of two-​tops and one (?) four seater means you might want to get your sandwiches to go. But definitely get the sandwiches. And the watermelon gazpacho, if it’s the daily soup.
My Turkey Rachel ($ 10) kept true to the name, stuffed with house roasted turkey, swiss, coleslaw and Russian dressing on beautifully toasted seeded rye. Said it before and I’ll say it again, a quality panini press makes all the difference, and paired with proper protein proportions, the sandwich rocked. A cup of soup is included as in the price and the light, refreshing watermelon gazpacho will have you laughing when they offer other side options. Slightly sweet and wonderfully herbaceous, it was the Ross to the Rachel.
The service and dining experience was… a downfall. Every table needed some sort of bussing, and the dish bins were piled high, much to the willful negligence of the three staffers. Their «not my problem» standoff tainted the in-​house experience, thus bring five star fare down to a very strong four overall. I’m definitely a fan.

Awesome spot! The breakfast burrito (if you are craving a hearty meal) or the granola and yogurt are awesome weekend morning options! The outdoor seating, trendy vintage eclectic décor and location make this spot a perfect destination. If you are a MH resident, I recommend becoming a regular! If you are vising, this stop is a must.

We are so lucky to have this unique place in our neighborhood. We’re there all the time, either for a croissant and coffee, bigger breakfast, yummy lunch, a quick stop or hours of hanging out w/​laptop and no one rushes you or cares. The food is great, (although the burger needs work, it’s boring and could be brought up a notch — ie: Palmers/​Opus) — the atmosphere light, bright and creative, and relaxing — the staff always gracious, personable and attentive. I only wish there were more evening hours.

Love this place. My wife, son and I have tried many places in Salem and Marblehead for our Sunday breakfasts and this has become our regular spot.
The food, customer service, and atmosphere are excellent.
My 2 yo. son loves the scones, which are larger and moister than most places. The rock cakes, like scones but a little different are amazing.
I’ve brought out of town friends here and they have loved it.
The staff are pleasant and helpful, and love their regulars.
Plus, the place is kid friendly, can’t ask for much more!

Haley’s is a great little wine and spirits store. They have a really wide selection that is also decently priced beverages — wine, beer, specialty alcohol, etc. Even better, you’re going to find an incredible selection of wines that are tasty and a selection that fits a wide range of budgets.
You can find everything from an easy going pizza wine to a high class dinner party wine — as well as the best ingredients for a delicious bananas foster. You’re going to like this place.
