R Bar & Grill

Delicious drinks, nice bartenders and smells great. Candle was lit, the drinks were cold and the place was fun! We’re just passing through town. Second stop of the evening and quite content here. Food menus looks fantastic they even have an AWARD WINNING BURGER! Can’t wait to try their famous Snicker Cheesecake!

Free queso from Unilocal app was amazing. I had the Mac and cheese burger and it was really good. My brother had nachos that looked fabulous. Nieces chicken fried steak was just eh. Good atmosphere but wished they would have had heaters on the porch. We only stopped here bc the patio is dog friendly. It was like forty degrees out. I called first. I wish she would have told me there were no heaters on the patio when I asked if they allowed dogs. It was too cold to sit out there and eat.

Family friendly and a really good selection! My whole family enjoys coming and the atmosphere is really welcoming. One of our favorite places to come and eat.

Excellent food and good friendly service. Nice (doggie friendly) patio seating. You can’t go wrong for lunch or a casual dinner here.

Thought we would try the R Bar again. I called a few days earlier and made a reservation for Thursday nite to ensure that we had a table outside to listen to the music. We were lucky that there was a table available because no one knew about my call.
Food is better than it used to be as is the service.
If you can’t tolerate massive amounts of smoke… do not sit outside. Almost every table had smokers and it was awful. A group of people decided it would be a good idea to light up while standing right next to our table. Smoke resting gently on my chicken fried steak! I asked them to please move and they said that they weren’t allowed to smoke on the other end (there was a sign near the entrance prohibiting smoking by the front entrance!!!) They finally moved after much grumbling.
I understand that they have made a decision to support smokers outside.
I will take my wife’s and my clothing to the dry cleaners today to remove the smoke.
We will not be sitting outside again… nor will our friends… Maybe we’ll just go somewhere else.

We had a group of coworkers eat dinner at the R Bar last evening. First the good:
The service was very friendly, prompt, and helpful
The majority of the dishes were good, including the pork chop and burgers.
From a negative standpoint
The Ribeye was stated to be award winning. It must have won the award for the smallest steak in Texas. It was tiny, smaller than a kid’s size portion. The feedback on the steak flavor was negative as well.
We were a group of 9 and one of the orders was not put into the kitchen, so we had to wait for one of the dishes to arrive.
Overall, it was a fine meal, but nothing special.

Stopped here on our way through town. Love that they were dog friendly.
Food was good!

Had lunch here last week. Food was good and the service was even better. Good service — the food came quickly and it was tasty and sufficient. Only thing missing was a fly swatter. One of them little guys took a liking to my table and I couldn’t get him to go bother someone else. Oh well – if that’s the worse thing I see in a restaurant in Marble Falls, I’ll consider myself lucky.

We happened to go in on trivia night. It started right when we got there. That really made our experience feel like we were part of the local gathering. The food was awesome and the service was outstanding. I had the pork chop and my wife had the ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. We mentioned that it was our anniversary so our waitress brought homemade desserts on the house. We will definitely go back when we are in Marble Falls.

BUGS EVERYWHERE!!! So many flies and fruit flies were all over the table. Walking into this establishment was a little confusing. The front entrance takes you straight to bathroom and the drink station when all the tables are to the right. The water here tastes like a mixture of sewer and grass. My boyfriend ordered a shiner and this place claims to be a bar but doesn’t have draft beer?! I ordered the sangrita which the waitress forgot about. It took her 30 mins to take our order and bring my drink. We Ordered the fried pickles which were great and they have great ranch. Then I ordered the catfish tacos grilled with no cole slaw and my boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich. I got my tacos fried and with cole slaw! He liked his sandwich. The server needs to learn to take notes of everything but she was the only server in the entire place so kudos on that.

One of my favorite places to grab a drink in the area. Food is tasty, the drinks are cold and the service is phenomenal. Love playing shuffleboard here too! Great place to hang out for happy hour or on a weekend! I will come back again and again!

We stopped by for a quick bite after reading the reviews on Unilocal.Turned out to be a big winner (especially because it was taco tuesday). Terry took great care of us! We had the fried pickles… delicious! Two pulled pork tacos… soo flavorful! Anddd the Philly. It wasn’t too big but it was delicious none the less. Awesome food, awesome service. We’ll be back.

Came back to celebrate my birthday at the R-​bar and was not disappointed! A plate of mama’s smothered chicken and a few Crazy Horse margaritas later and I was so ready for a nap! Be sure and try the Snickers Cheesecake!

Well the diet went out the window — but had to try the Chicken Fried Steak. Very good with mashed potatoes and green beans. Nice taste
Nice local Marble Falls restaurant good service — good drinks — good food.
Visit when you are in town.

Had the Cowpoke Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Excellent. Great service too! Loved the signs posted throughout the restaurant.

Great little place… had the cowpoke chicken sandwich, and it was very good. Cooked just right with flavor and not dry at all. Prices were mostly below $ 10. Fried pickles were amazing. Service was great and we are going back tonight for karaōke. They also said other nights they have live bands… so j had to go in and edit my review to change from 4 to 5 stars because we went back for the karaōke and had the greatest time ever… we will be back :)

I really enjoyed this cute, casual place in the old historical part of Marble Falls. I took my family, including 2 small children to eat here and everyone was happy with their food. But the fried pickles really stole the show. They do theirs as spears with a very crunchy breading. My kids both had the kids chicken meal. Five bucks for the kids menu is awesome, especially for a sit-​down restaurant. The kids chicken is served as little crunchy, breaded pieces. It was actual white meat chicken, which is always good. The fries are very good, sort of like a beer battered type of fries. I ordered the Dylan taco plate because I love smoked chicken. The Ranchero beans they serve with it were the highlight of my taco platter, with lots of bacon and chili.
The atmosphere is very much a laid back Texas bar, but they are very accommodating to families. Our server told us that they do have live music some nights and that they would be doing karaōke tonight at 8pm. We will have to go back and try their bloody mary.
We went back later for the karaōke and really had a blast. I highly recommend this place. Very laid back and fun! We will be back when we’re in town! The staff really wants to promote a good time for all and that really makes the difference!

Thought I would try this place for the first time. Had no server come to take my drink order even tho she (the old blond haired lady) walked by me several times. The bar tender actually came out to get my drink order. He also took my food order while on his cig break. He was pretty cool for going out of his way to take care of me. Ordered the enchiladas. They were very good until ¾s through the meal I noticed bits of what looked like plastic wrap in my food. Who knows how many I ate prior to noticing. Basically said screw it, paid my tab, and left. By the time I left I had a different server. She was nice and was on top of things.
Only problem I had with this place was the old blond lady who seemed like she didn’t want to even deal with me when I showed up, and of course finding plastic in my food… because now I’m finding plastic in my… well…let’s just say that plastic doesn’t digest…

A friend and I drove through Marble Falls today on a hunt for bluebonnet fields and had a pretty decent lunch at R Bar & Grill. We sat down and were greeted by a nice waitress, who took our drink order. She was pretty busy throughout her service, but was prompt, friendly, and attentive.
My friend and I both ordered the smoked chicken tacos — which were alright. The tacos came with rice and beans — both were fantastic. The tacos, which had a lot of fresh ingredients, were a little skimpy on the chicken. The chicken itself was also moderately dry. For 8.99 though, it was a good deal.
This is a nice friendly place to eat in the heart of downtown. After lunch we were right in the thick of boutiques, galleries and other small shops which was great. I’m reserving a few stars for the drab décor, the lack of chicken, and the dryness of the chicken.
