Camp Balcones Springs, or CBS, is a Christian sports, swim, and adventure Summer Camp located near Austin, Texas. Our campers range in ages from 7 – 17 and come from as near as Texas and Oklahoma or from as far away as Singapore and England.

Our relationships-​based program emphasizes the importance of fostering friendships among every camper who enters our gate and also developing mentorships from Counselors to campers.

We believe that if you enter our gates, your life will be changed for the better through fun, relationships, and spiritual impact!

History

Established in 1993.

Camp Balcones Springs arose out of the dreams and passions of the Baskin Family and Marietta Johnson who together founded and developed our beautiful Hill Country property into a fully-​functional Summer Camp in less than 9 months! Since then, we have faithfully grown into the premier Texas summer camp for campers ages 7 – 17, and into a home for the tens of thousands of campers, counselors, and parents who have walked through our gates over the last 19 summers.

Business Owner

Christine and her three children (Katie, Annabelle and Mac) continue the legacy of this family run camp since it was started in 1993, providing a blend of activities that are educational and fun. A graduate of Southern Methodist University and Ursuline Academy in Dallas, Christine recruits counselors and staff year-​round from colleges and universities who understand and strengthen the core values of the camp: fun, faith and friendships that last a lifetime.
