Wheels 2 Go

We rented two bicycles for our vacation for a week. Bicycles were excellent, they were dropped off at the bike rack in the condos that we stayed in. Bikes come with the helmet and lock so you can lock me up when you drive around and want to go shopping. Bikes were in excellent condition the help was extremely friendly and courteous would highly recommend renting from this place. Will definitely rent from them the next time we come here.

Great customer service! Mandy who runs the office (every time I have been in) is not only friendly but goes out of her way to help you find what you are looking for, provides maps to local places to check out and will give you tips on where to go! They load everything into your car for you and will even deliver!
We use this place every time we visit! Wonderful!

This is tricky. We rented a bike for a week and that went great. New beach cruiser, with lock and helmet. Then, we rented a kayak.
We liked picking up the kayak at the beach, we didn’t have to transport it. That part was awesome. The price is very competitive; actually, probably the best around. The boats have equipment nets, which we appreciated. Then comes the map!!!
We found our way around, but we are excellent navigators. There is no way an average or new boater is going to find some of these trails. IF you find the Burdines Trail, it is truly an «Adventure Trail» as labeled — you literally pull yourself through the Mangrove branches (see photo). If you brave it, go to the left when you get through to find Burdines for a cold beer and lunch. We came back coming around Boot Key, not through, and made it back in half the time.
If we went again, we’d probably pack a lunch and refreshments and hang out on Silver Pond. Maybe take the Whiskey Creek trail back.
If you’re lucky enough to get details from Chuck, you’ll do well. The other, older gentleman (seemed like an owner) was NOT helpful, looking at me when I asked clarifying questions like I was foolish. Hey guy, we don’t do this every day, we have questions. When I asked if there were places to stop and get out. He said, «You can get out wherever you want.» Well… not really… he was being dismissive.

Great Service! We rented kayaks to go through the mangrove trails at Sombrero Beach. They delivered kayaks to us with everything we needed including laminated, waterproof maps! Then they pick them back up for us when we were finished.

I thought these guys were great. Nice staff and very accommodating. We rented kayaks and bikes. Their map of the Boot Key Preserve was spot on and made for a fun day going through the mangroves. The shop is close to the old 7 mile bridge which was a great ride at sunset! Thanks much.

We rented bikes here during our vacation in Marathon and I have absolutely nothing negative to say. The two employees we dealt with were very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. The process for renting bikes was very quick and easy. The rental also included a bike rack for the car. The rental itself was very affordable. We came in at 9am for a 24 hour rental and were told to just have them back by close the next day — so we got two bikes for two days for around $ 30. Can’t beat that! I highly recommend.

Went in Saturday afternoon to get a kayak and set up delivery for Sunday morning at 930. 925 I get a phone call saying they’re here for delivery with the boat, oars, life jackets, and locks. Kayak worked great, just wish it had a dry storage area. Well recommended from me!

Not sure about the very negative review. We found them to be responsive and friendly. We rented bikes — 2 of which we had them deliver which they did promptly. Next day we called and they delivered 2 paddle boards that we ordered over the phone. They were delivered, not instantly, but within a few hours. We had them pick up everything after. They asked that we come in and sign the credit card, but we heading that direction anyway. I’d go back.

My sister and I rented kayaks a few days ago from Wheels To Go. It started out fine. However, we got the kayaks and a very bad map and had to pay for the full day in advance (only option), then off we went. Needless to say, we kayaked where the told us to go and never found any cut through to go to the other side and have lunch and look for manatees, etc. After 2 hours we asked another kayaker where we were and he said the people they rent to always get lost and called our map a «Burger King map.» We ended up frustrated and tired and had to go back the way we came — we just went in circles. We turned our kayak in after 2.5 hours, yet had to pay for a full day. So much for an adventure. Disappointing.

I don’t think they want to work too hard at this place. I asked about getting some Kayak gear and they referred me to the local k-​mart. Really buddy-​why do you have a kayak shop if you just tell people to go to k-​mart. I know they didn’t like me too much b/​c I;m from the north. I was nice and respectful when asking them questions but they acted as if I was a crazy person for asking them to sell and or rent me stuff. Still confused as to why they think the k-​mart is magical and would have the items that I would need. Oh well. Went else where after that… good luck buddy, hope you find the urge to try to work soon. I know it’s tough sometimes…

I rented a kayak for 3 days. They charged me for a full week and refused to refund the money. Don’t rent a kayak from this company! There are better companies in Marathon that rent then for the same price.

I don’t know what kind of experience it is to actually rent a bike through these guys — but they didn’t get my business because I found the help to be terrible and the bikes limiting. The guy didn’t seem to be interested in renting to me, and when I explained I wanted to ride to Key Largo, his response was «What do you want to do that for?!? That’s over 50 miles.». As if it’s his damn business to know my motivations. Then he proceeded to inform me that the only problem with that is that I’d have to cross the 7 mile bridge — which was totally in the opposite direction I wanted to go in the first place. In short, if you are a serious to semi-​serious rider, this is not the place. It seemed pretty clear he didn’t want the bikes to leave the island.
However, I did have a completely different experience with the Overseas Outfitters near the 7 mile bridge. They were great and I would rent from them in a heart beat.
