Aura Walker MA CHt

Aura is a terrific hypnotherapist. I had 3 sessions with Aura in an effort to mentally prepare myself for my oral examination. After meeting with her, I felt very hopeful and optimistic, something I had not felt in a long time. She is very wise and attentive, warm and caring. I passed my orals and am now a few weeks from graduating with my PhD. I am grateful for her time and I highly recommend her. :)

I’m happy to say that I am officially free of cigarettes! I tried many ways to quit and consistently failed to. I don’t know if I will never smoke again, but I definitely do not crave them. I was turned onto hypnotherapy for smoking cessation through a buddy, and he recommended Ms Aura Walker. He had been smoking for over 20 years, and after running the hypnotherapy program with Ms Walker, he had successfully quit. I knew that if he could do it, I could too! I called her, and she offered me a free 20 min phone session, which in itself was very helpful. We talked about some emotions which I didn’t know I had repressed, and that opened up some things which at the time weren’t obvious to me, and led to me having to deal with and work on. The sessions were intense in a good way, made me really focus, and compartmentalize the items in my life that needed inventory and management. She helped me work on a diet that enabled me to detoxify my body of pollutants, coupled with some exercise regiments. I bought into the program since I knew that it was the only way I could overcome this personal hurdle which has been such a sore subject in my life for some years. Today I’m working on myself, and looking at my body completely differently. I am very aware of what’s going into it, plus I have also gained a new sense of discipline, which I have never exercised when it came to my vices. I’m very grateful, and happy that my buddy was able to overcome his addiction to cigarettes, as well as my own personal victory over them as well! I hope this helps someone out there that might be skeptical, and hesitant to try, but if you let yourself go and give it a good effort, your chances of quitting will become much greater.

I recently visited and was delighted with Aura’s insight and strong intuition. The soul retrieval work she did with me was a liberating experience that brought me to a clearer place in my consciousness. What felt like many pieces of myself routinely scattered about are now reconnected and centered. There is a lot going on in this woman’s life, but I no longer feel bombarded by it… in it’s place a healthy detachment lives and breaths. The storm that’s brewing around me isn’t also brewing inside me anymore and I feel more present and stable in my experience of my daily life. INCREDIBLE: This is one of the best treatments I have had. I must say that Aura is really knowledgeable in her work, and she will also make sure that the healing purpose of hypnosis is what is meant for you. Not only do you have the chance to talk about your situation and feel completely safe and secure but you also have the chance to heal. I am so grateful I found Aura, as it has helped me in work, relationship, friendships, and past family memory suppressions, to work on these areas have helped me find myself and feel more secure in those areas of my life. I have a feeling hypnothearpy experiences will vary person-​to-​person but I had two fantastic sessions with Ms. Walker.
Right off the bat, Aura Walker, who is (or was when I went to her– i don’t know if that stuff changes) a liscensed therapist, told me everyone reacts to hypnotherapy differently. She also told me the myths of hypnotherapy– going to sleep or deep coma-​like state. She also told me that most people see her 1 to 4 times. I asked her how I would know what was enough and she simply stated, «You will know.» Which at the time I thought was weird– but by golly– after the second session– I knew! I can’t explain it but how i felt after the first and second session were so radically different.
Ps. You are not magically cured after a session. It’s not a magic trick, it’s slowly changing your subconscious– the hypnotherapy pushes you in the right direction to get there.
She had me fill out a form, regarding background and specific issues (like do you want to lose weight, stop smoking, help anxiety), then spoke to me for about a half-​an-​hour about different issues I have had or were having. She also about a 15 minute wrap-​up at the end.
I did not have a personality test like the other reviewer. I also paid $ 125 for 90 minutes, which I felt was very fair for this kind of service. I will concur that Ms. Walker asked if I would like to buy the CD, which I politely declined and there was no mention of it again. I do agree, I thought it should be included free as part of the package, but I didn’t find it insulting that she offered it to me. I believe it was offered out of a place of goodness not greed.
Everyone will have a different way they react to hypnotherapy. It’s a weird experience. For me, it was at first hard to stop thinking about this or that, but then I went to what I would call a light to medium state. I did not find her fidgety or barking, the exact opposite. She was very calm.
She followed-​up with me, via email, after both sessions. I have had little to no problems with what I went to see her about. I highly recommended her if you have thought about trying this kind of therapy.

Aura Walker was literally the answer I had been looking for for so long. I’ve had anxiety since I was a child and was recently going through the worst anxiety I’d ever experienced. It had been going on for months and different kinds of doctors couldn’t help me. I found her website online and called. She was able to see me that day. After one session with her I felt like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders! I wasn’t dreading getting out of be in the morning and the old me was coming back. She also taught me tools to help my anxiety on a daily basis. I saw her one more time after that and she helped me change my perspective on a lot of things. She is truly inspirational and a wonderful healer. Thank you so much Aura!

I had never tried Hypnotherapy before, but i knew quickly that this wasn’t what it was supposed to be like. I made an appointment due to the panic attacks I am prone to. Aura Walker charged $ 125 for an hour of her time, the first half of which was me filling out a questionnaire about myself, which she could have sent via email in advance. Then, we talked and she labeled my personality type and actually made me a lot more nervous. She warned me about some issues i could have in the future due to my personality type. Okay… that did not make me feel good and made me more anxious.
Then, it was time for her «hypnotherapy.» I lay on a couch while she told me to visualize and breathe, but she was the opposite of soothing. Her voice was loud and she was fidgeting in her chair as if she was bored. When it was over, I told her that I was still very anxious and not at all calm — she said that she could tell I was in a better place than before and i would notice the beneficial effects later.
Then she wanted me to spend another $ 25 on a homemade CD she made.
Finally, she told me she would call in a few days to follow-​up and find out how I was doing, and she never called.
