Papa John’s Pizza

I’ve had so many bad experiences ordering from Papa Johns on the East Coast. I don’t think it’s possible to get your order correct if you order online (even on their app), but I decided to give it another try at a new location because sometimes you just need a cheap chain pizza.
Not to my surprise my pizza came without any toppings. I told my delivery guy, Felix, and he apologized and said to call the restaurant and they’d send a new pizza. I called right after he left and they already had my order in the oven cooking and I received the correct pizza about 20 minutes later. I high recommend calling to order versus using any online ordering, and not ordering on a weekend to avoid hour waits.

An hour wait at least for delivery on multiple occasions. In this state im used to the lack of customer service but the delivery people for this Papa John’s don’t even get out of the car and last time I had to walk down the street to retrieve my pizza. I live in an apt so they dont come to the door, im used to meeting delivery ppl in the street but they will call me 10 – 15 min before they arrive and tell me they are here and i end up waiting outside for them to show up. I ended up calling after almost an hour wait and was told that the delivery driver tried to call but said my phone must have been off. Not true. I finally get a call from the driver and he says i must have given the wrong phone #. Not true because i ordered online and i can clearly see what # I gave.
The quality of the food is good
Food never arrives within the expected delivery time. At least and hour wait.
Below average customer service which is just average customer service in NJ
So if you are really hungry don’t order from here b/​c you will be waiting a while but there isn’t anything wrong with the quality of the food. Average Papa Johns quality.

Grow your own grain, milk the cows and make the cheese, grow the tomatoes and make the sauce and you will still save 30 minutes with this location of Papa Johns.

If I could give this no stars, I would. I ordered from here in December. The delivery guy refused to come up the steps to deliver. When I called the manager, he didn’t feel like speaking to me so I had to negotiate through a some teenage kid. They offered to deliver, but at that point, I just wanted my money back. To date– I have yet to receive that refund. My rating is solely based on the customer service. I have ordered from here in the past and the pizza is decent– not as good as some of the local pizza places but it’s average.
