In short– you get what you pay for so choice wisely and don’t go cheap on something that later can & will be very costly !!!
Now, finished a few weeks back a local move for my cousin up in NJ and doing it from FL wasn’t easy.
Laura helped with the planing and Guy priced it over the phone and man is was close, priced was actually about %10 less than the actual over the phone quote and after all the horror stories I heard and experienced personally I think that pretty pretty good.
Pete and Jacob dealt with the moving process & communicated directly with my cousin and the building and made this «remotely managed «move looks like just another day.

Save yourself a headache and do not use this moving company. They’re arrogant, rude, and over priced. Very low quality customer service and the movers were really slow. Took twice as long than they said it would. When I called customer service they were rude and didn’t care at all since they already got paid for the job. I do not recommend this company and will never use them again.

The team from General Movers were awesome! My experience was eventless and easy. First, my move date changed 4 times, and the team was able to accommodate me. Second, they delivered boxes and supplies to the house, and refunded to me whatever I didn’t use. Three, I was moving from a large home to a small apartment in Philly. They provided a fork-​lift and lifted my vintage Steinway Grand Piano through an upper floor window. Five: The team was so careful with all my belongings, floors, rugs, etc, nothing even has a scratch; not the piano, my poster bed, armories, china cabinet, dining room sets — nothing. Not a scratch. They only packed for me the large pieces and art work. We did everything ourselves.
Moving is such a hellacious activity I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. But with General Movers, it was a seamless and smooth event. Thank you, Guy, Miguel and team for everything!

A family member found these guys on a different one of these rating sites a while ago. I came on here today to write about what an amazing job they did on my recent move. I have to say, I am absolutely shocked by what the other two reviewers wrote. I can not rave enough on how great my crew was, led by Pedro. They were efficient, courteous, and very mindful of my belongings. When they started to fixed a few pieces of furniture that were a bit wobbly since I built them myself before packing them up to move I realized how great they really were. They. Are. Awesome. I would give them 10 stars if it were possible.

Wish I could not even click on one star. The initial selling pitch was great, the crew came on time and packed everything swiftly. They then ask you to write a bloody review about their company. Really? Canni write one when I get my stuff where ii want it? Smart ploy. At the time of having to deliver it, they broke their promise. They came dayssss later, the driver had such a bad attitude toward my husband who was trying to coordinate a good time for them to drop by since they did not show up when they were supposed to. Their excuse? Oh the same immature one,‘our truck broke down’. Yeh right.
It gets worse. Our furniture had dents and scratches. They promised to assemble the furniture. That was the worst job ever. No part was in place. Above all, they lost two of our mirrors n tried to buy us with money.
Bad bad bad company.
Please don’t even bother!
