Choo Choo Montessori is an early childhood learning center in the Twin Cities, emphasizing the Montessori teaching philosophy. We’re currently enrolling the following ages:

Infants (6 weeks — 15 months)

Toddlers (16 — 33 months)

Preschoolers and Kindergarteners (33 months — 6 years)

School-​age children for extended learning

(6 — 10 years)

History

Established in 2010.

Choo Choo Montessori opened with 2 students in the Fall of 2010 and enrolled 5 more students by the end of the first school year. The business is very thankful for the parents who took a chance with us in our initial year. Student enrollment has steadily increased since then.

In the Spring of 2013, the director of the children’s house, Mrs. Natasha earned her AMI Primary Diploma from the Montessori Training Center of MN.

In the Fall of 2013, the school earned NAEYC accreditation. In the Spring of 2014, the school earned a four star rating for early childhood services from Parent Aware. These two accomplishments have improved the school’s customer relations, staff retention and administration practices.

In June 2014, Choo Choo Montessori purchased a new building and remodeled it. The business moved into this building in late January 2014. The building allowed us to open an infant room and serve more children in the other age groups.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Choo Choo Montessori was inspired by Natasha’s upbringing in Montessori education and from years of working and helping at her parents’ Montessori school. Natasha is also the AMI certified lead guide in the Children’s House. She is also the center director.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family.
