Great studio. Very nice owners. Angeles Santiago is a wonderful teacher. I noticed that she can incorporate Spanish. Yay for a bilingual Bikram teacher! Very unique.

I signed up for 36 classes to be able to choose from each week. Now they are changing the options again. Very disappointing

This is my first experience with Bikram Yoga. When first signing up the person at the front checking me in went over all of details and explained everything pretty thoroughly. Prior to coming in I had searched the website however he did not miss one detail. Below are my thoughts on the two instructors I have had interaction with. Joel is great at correcting poses and suggesting modified poses– this is great if you are a beginner/injured. Kyle is so energetic and positive you cant help but give your all to each and every pose. Great energy really is intoxicating. If you are a beginner I strongly suggest taking a class with Joel as he is much more mellow and really gives you the attention you need. Me saying he is mellow does not mean it is EASIER. THISISHARDWORKBUTVERYREWARDING! Overall, like many have said and the instructors reiterate just focus on staying in the room. I feel so relaxed and the after glow really is undeniable. If you are on the fence like I was give it a try but enter with the correct mindset. This is one of the best decisions I have made in my life and I cannot stop telling anyone who will listen how great bikhram yoga really is but most importantly how great this studio and the instructors are. Their online system is really convenient as you can purchase classes online, keep track of the classes you are taking, and viewing the schedule and the assigned instructor. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience at Bikram Yoga Maple Shade!

I was brand new to yoga, so this was quite the experience for me! I got a Living Social for 5 classes and highly recommend others do it this way. Try out different instructors, times of day, locations in the room, etc. Had I only done one class, I probably wouldn’t have gone back. And had one of the later instructors been my first… I likely wouldn’t have gone back either. I found that it takes a few classes to get into the groove of things, though, and even though the classes follow the exact same order and script, it makes a big difference when you find the instructor that you click with or really like. The room is super hot(obviously), but there are different areas of the room where it’s worse than others. Try near the doors to get an occasional cool gust if the instructor has to open it during class. Very clean and tidy overall. There are rental mats for a dollar if you don’t want to invest in your own before deciding if you’ll be coming back a lot.

Anyone following me on Unilocal knows I’ve been looking for a yoga studio to call home for a little while now. I have tried two in the area & they were not what I was looking for. Enter Bikram of Maple Shade. My first class was yesterday, I paid for the one day drop in. At the end of my class I ran to my car & got $ 25 more to get the one month unlimited deal. I have never done ‘real’ yoga before and I am not flexible. In addition, I am not use to working out in a hot environment. All of my other workout studios & gyms have the A.C. blowing. Pros: * Welcoming Instructor — friendly, helpful. The lady that lead the class was in the lobby when I walked in, not only did she explain where everything was(changing rooms, cubby for bag/shoes, restroom) but she also came over to me in the studio to tell me what to expect, when the water breaks are & to encourage me to just stay in the room since it was my first time. * Challenging Workout — don’t think this is easy! You will get a workout, I believe the balance and flexibility I’m going to work on here will help me with the other activities I do. * Encouraging Community — I have only taken one class so far, but at one point I had to sit down because I thought I was going to pass out. While on the mat, I got into the pose everyone else was in & it just became a matter of standing up in that pose. All of a sudden everyone was focused on me & encouraging me to do it. I did and got a round of kudos from the instructor & group. There was no yoga snobbery here. Thumbs up! * The Afterglow — holy cow I felt AMAZING after!!! Stinky, but amazing, rejuvenated, energized and super healthy. I can see why so many people find this addicting — what an amazing feeling. * the schedule — they offer a lot of classes! I have no excuse to not work a class into my schedule because they offer so many classes. I’m going again today. The only Con is that the lobby is tiny & gets really jammed up with people trying to sign in, people trying to talk to the instructor & those trying to leave. That’s not really a complaint, they have but so much space — why waste it on a lobby? They rent mats & towels should you ever forget yours. They sell water & have some yoga clothes & books in their little retail nook. Like almost every other place they have online scheduling so that makes it really easy to reserve space in a class. I am looking forward to today’s class, hopefully I will remember to check in with Unilocal this time.

i’ve been to 2 bikram studios in south jersey so far, this one by moorestown and the one in voorhees. i read other reviews and honestly don’t think they give a fair assessment of the studio here. sure this facility is not as new, fancy, well equipped as the one in voorhees, but its functionality is most important. i bought the groupon and had 4 classes at this studio so far and i’m loving and fully enjoying the benefits of every class! i’ve had classes with 3 instructors(2 guys and 1 lady) so far and each one was VERY helpful in explaining the postures and how to do it to get the full benefits. this location is not super popular, which is totally fine b/c the classes are smaller~ about 15 – 20 people at the 8pm and it gives more opportunity for the instructor to check out each of the students to make sure they are executing the forms correctly. THAT“S THEIRJOB. in other reviews, i see people commented that the instructors are dull? and apathetic? on contrary, i think they do a good job in talking you through the posture and keeping the momentum in their voices. i don’t think you, as an adult, need encouragement to get through your work out. yes, that would be helpful BUT you’re at the wrong place. yoga is not a motivational speech class… and from my newbie experience, i am definitely getting more out of the class in maple shade than the one at voorhees as the instructors are more attentive and interactive. for example, last night there was a newcomer. i saw that the instructor was able to give her tips and pointers for about 5 – 6 times(maybe even more). i wish i got more feedback during my first time! so they are monitoring you! and i really value and expect some comments if i am paying for the lesson. IMO, if the teacher is not saying anything to you and you’re new and inexperienced? you’ve been cheated for your money. SO yes, i will most likely continue to come even after my groupon.

I have not been back to this studio, but just discovered I had a note from the instructor I worked with calling me a «psychotic *****» I am very troubled by this… and proves that I was not incorrect. I think I will try reaching out to the studio again. Employees should not treat others this way. If you do not like the review or want me to alter it… reach out and try to make the situation better. I had an awful experience at the studio. I have every right to write a review after attempting to reach the studio. Again, I am extremely troubled and disturbed.

This studio is in a shopping complex so it’s very easy to park. I came here with a Living Social deal and overall experience was just ok. The studio has no real changing area so you need to come ready. They have little cubbies to hold your belongings but if you want to change, you have walk through the main studio to go in the only bathroom they have in the back, then bring all of your belongings back to the front cubby area. The studio itself is a nice, wide open space. It has hardwood flooring so it becomes more of a challenge to keep your footing when you’re sweating to hold your poses. I never had any issues with the instructors here. They were pretty friendly and heavily engaged with people during the 90 min session.

It was my first time here. The instructor was very rude and I couldn’t seem to enjoy this experience at all. I do not recommend this place.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences at this studio! The best thing about this studio is all the class times they offer — so many options– it’s really easy to fit somewhere in my schedule each week. Before trying Bikram here, I had only taken a few yoga classes here and there through the years, and had never tried hot yoga. I was scared to try it for the longest time but I’m so glad my sister finally pushed me to go. First of all, I was very pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t smelly in the studio — that was one of my fears. It truly is beginner friendly and as I progress I’m amazed that I continue to be challenged by the same class. I’ve had 4 different instructors who were all professional and helpful, but my favorites are Candace and Rochelle.

The instructors here are very helpful and are open to answer questions before or after class. It’s a small location so it can get packed during the evening hours. The only downfall is the fact that there’s no showers like most places!

I am addicted to Bikram. Any other yoga I’ve ever tried I’ve hated because it was boring. This studio is clean and staff is friendly. The instructors explain the medical benefits for each pose and correct you if your wrong. Why would I want to be wasting my time and money if I’m doing something wrong? Clearly I appreciate that, although there are some who don’t. If you’ve never tried Bikram, don’t expect to sit in a room and relax. It’s 105 degrees and 40% humidity… and you’re certainly not at the beach. But if you keep going you’ll look good on a beach. It is intense, and although there are many moments(savasana) where you take a few seconds to breathe and practice stillness, getting back into a pose is no joke. I do have one thing to complain about regarding this studio. THEAMOUNTOFTALKINGINTHESTUDIO(prior to the start of class) DRIVESMECRAZY! This isn’t effin STARBUCKS! I’d like to go early to relax, loosen up muscles and not hear your dumb ass conversations. These women are loud, rude and inconsiderate of others lying down with their eyes closed. The 3 stars is for the studio… but I give BIKRAMYOGA5 Stars

I lead a pretty active lifestyle, my children keep me on my toes, I work out at the gym 4 to 5 times a week and I run several miles everyday. My life came to what felt like an abrupt stop after the dr ordered me to keep the impact on my joints to a bare minimum, it seems that running everyday had finally caught up to me. A couple days went by without my daily running routine and it was ok, manageable, but still I felt like I was missing a dear dear friend. Weeks went by and I slowly became desperate, taking class after class, spinning, piloxing, pilates, cardio sculpt, extreme intervals, yoga, vinyasa, zumba… you name it, chances are I’ve done it as a means of desperately finding a substitute that could replace what high running always left me with only to leave all those classes with yet an empty void that still needed to be filled. I wandered my way into this studio on a whim, decided I was going to take a class that evening. I came in and was politely greeted by the co owner Patrick who welcomed me and went over the rules, Kathleen was my teacher; she happens to be the other co owner, so how lucky am I to have met both owners my first day of class! My first class was great, Kathleen helped me when I needed help, corrected my postures when they needed correcting and was a positive reinforcement to me and those around when we needed motivation. The studio is very clean, well lit and very welcoming. There’s nothing about this place that makes you feel like certain areas are meant for authorized personel only and I think thats why I love it soo much more. I’ve taken several classes now and everytime I leave… I leave looking forward to the next time I’ll be walking through those doors ready to welcome another 90 minute class, pushing myself to accomplish what I know I’m capable of doing if not this day… I’m sure one day soon. I’m so thankful to have found Bikram through this studio, I’m a huge fan. :)
