Great fast food taco place. Probably best tacos around. All tacos taste great made from fresh ingredients.

Rusty Taco has become my go to place when I need to stop and pick up dinner. Pretty good food and good prices. There is a wide variety of tacos, so I can try something different or stick with my favorites(fried chicken taco). The speed of service has improved tremendously in the last couple of months.

Unbelievable. Each taco has it’s own unique sauces and flavors. Reasonably priced. My wife and I have started frequenting this place multiple times a week. We get carry out since we live nearby and have young children. In store atmosphere is good, though. They have a gray patio when weather is nice. Must try their fried chicken and nana shrimp. But they’re all worth the $ 2.50−3.00. They recently changed their name to «R’s Taco,» but(thankfully) everything but the name and logo remains the same.

Heaven! I love tacos and they have the best fast tacos in the area. I always get their fried chicken taco and fiancé gets their Baja shrimp taco. They are cheap but filling, two tacos normally stuffs me. The staff is always super cool. And if you have a Fivestars account you can save up money for free items.

Love this place. I like that the tacos are small, so you can try different ones. I think three of them are less food than one Chipotle burrito! Staff is friendly, and the hot sauces are really good. My wife cannot come here without getting the shrimp tacos, which I think are the best thing on the menu. Love the Rusty Taco too, who knew pineapple would be a good idea? Can’t wait to go for dinner in the summer, because I want a glass of Surly Furious while sitting in the outdoor patio.

We were looking for somewhere different from our usual big chain restaurants for lunch and were driving around and came across this. We were going to go to the Original Pancake House but saw this place and decided to give it a go. Now, my fiancé and I both love tacos. He’s more of the ground beef and spicy packaged seasoning or Taco Bell style tacos whereas I prefer the more authentic tacos. We were both pleasantly surprised with Rusty Taco(although he didn’t notice the lime wedge on his taco and ended up eating it, rind and all which was hilarious). We got the brisket tacos as well as chips with both guacamole and salsa. Everything was delicious although I’d prefer slightly less cilantro. The only real issue I had was there were no readily available bottle openers for our Mexican Cokes but an employee did come around and open them after a little while. Also, there was only one spot in the restaurant to dump any garbage and put trays. Other than that it was very good and I will definitely be going back.

I enjoyed going to Rusty Taco when I lived in St. Paul and was excited there was one close to New Hope when I moved. A great variety of tacos to try, on corn tortillas. I was at first hoping for crunchy tacos but I’ve grown to enjoy the soft tacos they offer here. The nachos are also excellent, I add all of the toppings. Also happy they have variety of hot sauces for those of us not afraid of a little heat on our food!

Love this place. If you’re looking for authentic mexican tacos-don’t bother looking here, go to Lake street. My favorite is the chicken fried chicken, nice restaurant addition in Plymouth area.

Months ago we dined for a quick meal at Rusty. After the experience we rule out going back. Tonight we thought why not, let give Rusty another shot. Having e joyed this food in small places in Southern California; we surprised with a treat. New management had stepped up there game, it was great. We will be back.

Holy guacamole, I tried 3 tacos: the pork, the fried chicken, and the fried fish. I put their habanero sauce on all three. Fantastic food, fantastic hananero sauce. The guac was excellent, better than chipotle by far. In fact, though the tacos are like 3 bucks a piece, I would much rather go here than chipotle. I’d give the place 10 stars if I could.

Is this place trying to be chipotle? No where on the menus did it say corn tortillas– no my favorite. Spicy beef taco meat had good flavor. Pepsi on the fountain and a bottle of coke(thank goodness) in a cooler. Beer in a self serve Cooler And behind the counter on tap? The place seems confusing and it doesn’t look as though they know who they want to be

Super good tacos and cold beers to go along. What more could you want? Pay attention to the legend for the sauces because they get hot

If this review were for tacos alone, it would be 5 stars. The BBQ brisket taco was awesome, lots of filling. For myself, one was enough for a meal. They use corn tortillas unlike the flavorless flour tacos you find at most places. Very, very good! To the twenty-something eye-rolling guy working the counter– I’m sorry that my mother threw an obvious wrench in your evening shift by asking if you had a larger water cup. Jeez, can’t take her anywhere with that swallowing disorder of hers…

Great queso and Chips. However, not a fan of the ground beef or grilled chicken tacos. Aside from the meat, The toppings were fresh. Meat is not the worst, but definitely not as quality as other chain places(like Qdoba/Chipotle). I was really excited to try this place, but am leaving disappointed. HOWEVER, I am going to come back and try other meat(brisket tacos) to give it a fair chance of a better review next time. Pros also include– quick & friendly service, they allow dogs on the patio, and the patio area is nice(as is the inside).

I am a taco fiend. I love trying new taco joints and this is by far my favorite. The long list of different tacos provides some of the best flavor combinations around. I’ve tried almost all of them and never been disappointed. They are traditional authentic STYLE tacos and probably a lot better than what you’d find even in Mexico. Beware, if you’re an extremely picky eater and think that Taco Bell has the best tacos, this is not the place for you. The prices are on par with any place else, so anyone who complains about the $ 2.50 or $ 3 per taco needs a reality check. The service is always great. The place is always clean. They do have some beer on tap. Usually a craft beer or two which is good to see. This place isn’t a bar so we’re lucky to get alcohol at all, especially on tap.

This place is awesome, end of story. Huge variety of tacos, each better than the last and all $ 3 or less! Personal favs are the fried chicken, baja shrimp, bbq brisket and their namesake Rusty Taco(achiote pork). All packed with fresh ingredients and loads of flavor! I saw a few people complaining about this not being«authentic». Rusty Taco is an American style taco place, you think bbq brisket is a «traditional» taco? Those looking for authentic Mexican food should know better! Love this place for lunch or dinner, always good and always quick!

The ingredients are fresh, but the food is devoid of flavor. So sorry that we let our BIL take us here. It looked legit, but like most ethnic food here, looking like it means nothing. It also doesn’t help that they asked for my name and then tried not to laugh when I told them what it was or when they called it. My name isn’t even that different as far as ethnic names go. The guy who made our food was talking excitedly about how great the habanero sauce was and how they boldly eat it on chips late at night. I asked if they did lines of it too. He had no clue what I meant. Ha ha ha. Oh, Minnesota…

It’s sad when you have to go to McDonalds after eating here to feel satiated. We visited for lunch on a Saturday around noon. The line was long so we thought it must be good. I’ve eaten at the location over on Hennepin Ave and it was excellent. I was mistaken. The line was long because they were really slow. The food was uninspiring and the atmosphere could have been labeled«we work here because we couldn’t get a job anywhere else». Pro Tip: the Rusty Taco margarita for $ 5 is exactly what it claims to be, cheap tequila and lime juice. No really, that’s exactly what it tastes like. Save the five spot and spring for a beer from the cooler instead. After we left(because the portions are tiny) we headed over to McDonalds for a proper lunch. We won’t be back to this location which is disappointing cause the other location is very good and has great service.
