Becker Furniture World & Mattress

My consultant was Brianna. Though she was a rookie, she was very helpful and took the time to know what I like so she could direct me to the right selections. My husband wasn’t with, but she was able to get an idea what he would like as well. When he did join us, he agreed with her assessment, which I didn’t expect! We also interacted with Sheila, who helped us when Brianna was not available. The delivery crew was great — we got three phone calls to confirm the date and time, which was greatly appreciated In general, I was happy with my experience and felt everyone appreciated me business.

Went in and purchased a table. Purchasing experience was fine. Waited 4 days to pick it up. The lady at the front desk was «annoyed» I didn’t bring my paperwork with me. Reprinted a pile of paper I didn’t need. Drove around to the service doors to pick up. Guy was leaning against the building, smoking, having propped the door open with a shovel. I said I was here to pick up an item, to which he barked that I had to check in at the front desk first. When I informed him I had already done so, he grumbled, «fine, I guess I’ll have to put out my cigarette, then» and lumbered into the building. After some time, he did emerge and set off to find my item. I got the item loaded and chalked the crabbies up to whatever.
After getting the two boxes (supposedly) containing my table, we opened then up and found the pieces for the base covered in thick mildew! Um, gross. We wiped it down and laid out the pieces for assembly. The legs on this table are tapered so you need two right side and two left side legs. The box contained four right side legs! We double checked everything just to be sure. The box doesn’t even contain the correct items to assemble the table!
I can only look forward to calling tomorrow and speaking with what has been historically bad customer service up to this point.

I was told to contact maple grove store to discuss this awful service. Hmm… I have called 3 times and have yet to receive a call back. I would not recommend wasting your time going there. Understaffed & no one wants to help. Just wanted everyone to be aware of what you are getting at Becker furniture world.

I read the other review on here but I decided to go with Becker Furniture World because they had the favorite couch that I found in the area. I tend to fall on the trusting side and with only one review I took a chance. Plus, the couch was only going to be 3 weeks out which didn’t bother me all that much.
I stopped in to Becker a week before my delivery and purchased a TV stand that was in stock. I had them look up my order and they told me that one piece of my sectional was already in the warehouse. Well, my delivery week approached and I was not called so I decided to double check on the progress. At this time, they informed me that they did not have any of my order in the distribution center and it would be delayed to the first week in September!
After making a few phone calls, I was referred to a store manager who said they would look into the issue. Well, I have called a couple times with some questions and I think Becker tries to pull a «power move» because both times they said they would check on something and get right back to me. Several hours later, they call back right before the end of their day. Maybe they hope you forget why you called in the first place. I do have to give them credit though; they tried to work with me by giving me a break on the delivery charge and a small credit to be applied towards another purchase. Because foolishly, I decided to buy some end tables to match my TV stand.
Well, I get the bill for the end tables after making the transaction over the phone and there is no store credit. I call my salesperson for an explanation and I get the same thing. Towards the end of the day I get a call which I could not answer. They tried to tell me I was getting a better deal, but I think they forgot I had a quote worked out before and I can tell there isn’t any price break as promised.
Regardless, I am frustrated so I am just waiting for my delivery date. I call in because it is my promised delivery week and I have not heard anything. Once again, it has been delayed, this time until September 27^th. I asked to speak to a manager but I was on hold for 10 minutes and I finally had to hang up. I purchased my couch in early July and I am not sure I will ever see this thing. I am so annoyed and I want to cancel my order but I’m afraid I am just going to wait somewhere else. Regardless of what I do, I will NEVER purchase from this company again. It is a shame because they are a Minnesota company and I like to support businesses like them. Unfortunately, I should have paid attention to the other reviewer. If I could, I would give them no stars…

Customer service representative was extremely rude. We (myself and two other adults) went in to purchase blu-​tech mattresses. They are over $ 6,000 each. The woman behind the counter did not even acknowledge us or say hello as we were shopping. When we asked if any different styles were on display, she (with an annoyed look on her face) looked up from her computer, frowned and shook her head. Clearly this woman was not interested in earning our business so we left immediately. We took our business elsewhere and spent over $ 20,000 on new mattresses.
