Vintage Pool Service & More

Thank you Theresa! We bought a BBQ ISLAND over a year ago and she helped us, completely forgot to write the review then. She was beyond helpful then and we recently had to return and accessory we bought and ended up not needing it. She went out of her way to help me with the transaction. She even called me and followed up.
Unfortunately, customer service is a dying service in today’s retail market, but not with Theresa. Vintage should be proud to have an employee that cares and does right by her customers!!! Thank you again. I will continue to shop here and recommend my friends (lots of them have pools and outdoor living spaces) to go see Theresa!

. As you can clearly see on your pictures that we plumbed into the existing plumbing that the original pool builder set up in the first place. They did put the original plumbing a little close but it is still within the standard. It could be moved some, it would take a little creativity and with an appreciative customer we would try to do that. However that doesn’t fit for you. You are demanding, arrogant, condescending. And would like to get more free service from my company. So we have determined that as of today April 20 2016 we here by terminate all business with you for life ! Consider the quote you received for different equipment to be null and void. We think you would serve our interest better if you went with a competitor of ours .

I was very pleased with the staff and my purchase of a Cal Spa hot tub. I went to Vintage Pool because they had the brand I wanted and everyone I worked with, particularly April, were courteous and responsive. I needed them to deliver the spa to El Cerrito, in the East Bay, which is nearly 100 miles away. Barry and his crew agreed to a date that was convenient for me and they were right on time, rolled it in and set it up. We are now enjoying our new spa.

I started using vintage pool service at the beginning of this season after a winter of neglect. My pool is crystal clear and I am very happy. Any questions or concerns, they have answered and takin care of. I highly recommend there service and will using them from now on.

OMG. If it wasn’t for Theresa, we wouldn’t have EVER returned to this place. The only reason I gave it 1 star is because of Theresa. She is so kind, actually knows what she’s talking about & has been extremely helpful l to my husband & I. We knew nothing about pools till we bought our house a few yrs ago & couldn’t afford to have a service tech come out & help us. So we had to wing it. Took a few trial & errors, but it’s been running wonderfully. We could not have done it w/​o Theresa. We’ve never gone to another pool supply store & hade been loyal to vintage for 1 reason only. That’s Theresa. Thank you Theresa, if she was not there we would NEVER go back. Rest of staff is worthless. Specially Nicky, she provides nothing but rudeness & lack of interest 4 customers needs. I’ve actually heard her saying some really nasty things about a customer she had just checked out b4 me.

They were referred to me by my home warranty company so I was skeptical. Originally they weren’t going to be able to come out for about a week but they fit me in sooner which I was very grateful for, (especially since we had a leak and are in this awful drought)
The gentleman that came for the repair was professional, knowledgable and helpful and fixed the leak quickly and without any problems…

omg i so wish i would have read reviews instead of 2 friends!!! awful experience… thank god my grandson was not physically hurt but the emotional damage of being afraid to go near pool. the tech came out replaced my filters (which they tried to charge me over $ 400. got better ones online for $ 150.) the tech did not put unit back together properly nor tightened it (left out 2 major parts) which caused explosion the lid blew to my neighbors backyard. the impact blew me into the pool and my grandson was near and just ran into the house and sent crying. to terrified now to go near the pool!!! then they have nerve to send a different tech out replace it… charge me and when i said they were at fault… they send him back to take part back and discontinue my service. oh trust me they will see me in court… as i post this i’m in the process w/​attorney!!! never use vintage pool. the only reason i’m giving a star is because i have to in order to post. the tech that came out was in a rush, said he didn’t have time for this… bless his heart he said he felt caught in the middle… which he was they should have sent the asshole that was full of lies (im sure to save his own ass and job) i don’t know all that post how serious your experience was mine is horrific and indeed working with attorney. i will keep you all posted incase anyone needs attorney or legal advise!!!

Please don’t use vintage if you have a serious problem with your pool, cathy in service is full of shit, use a latino who barley speak english, lied to my warranty co. because they couldnt fix the problem, used their pool cleaning service for over a year and i clean my own pool and it looks so much better

I just wanted to leave a good review for Vintage Pools. I have had nothing but a good experience with them. In fact they have bent over backwards a couple of times to help me out when I’ve had situations come up with the pool. In the beginning, we couldn’t get our pool to stabilize we called Vintage and they recommended we partially drain our pool and they even lent us the pump to do this. They then were able to stabilize the pool and have kept it up really well. Most recently, our pool was not holding the chlorine and we had a swimming play date for our kids, Vintage rushed over to chlorinate the pool in time for the play date. Their customer service has been nothing but exceptional for us.

Not focused on the customer or service. They are always right! Not the customer?
Called to let us know we need a new seal for a pump, I ok’d them to come out and fix and then repair guy comes out and says the hose just needed to be tightened? What? Why did they say I need a new seal. Oh and by the way they charged us $ 85 to tighten the hose. Keep in mind we have full weekly pool service and just paid them twice to clean our filter. They couldn’t just tighten a hose and misdiagnosed. What ??? Beware!

Super friendly service! They gave me free phone advice last week for filter maintenance, how to tell when you need a new one, and how long they should last. When my little car was too small to hold the box, they offered to drive it home for me! (I live the next town over.) Above and beyond the call of duty. :-)

The staff is great, very friendly! Love their location with all the great stuff on display!

Be Careful! Notice that ALL the reviews are negative! There is a reason for that and I just experienced it. For starters this Pool «Service» company is more expensive than most and does less work! When the owner was confronted with criticism he became rude and defensive. His concerns for himself and his company and the dollar bill far out weigh his concerns for his customers. I immediately did a little research and realized that there a lot more options out there for someone to clean your pool! And certainly someone who values customer service over customer dollars!

Vintage pool company it’s a Rip off company owner of this company dishonest very unprofessional and disrespectful. his driver damage our car when I complain to the owner of vintage pool and show him pictures he call Me liar and refused to fix my car. thing that Piss me of I was his customer and he was very rude to me. I am talking him to small claims court .stay away from vintage pool.

I’d give this place zeros stars if there were an option, after calling them up I was on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up and calling back! I specifically had a question about my united spa motor, and whether or not vintage pools worked on spa pumps. I called back told them I was in hold and again asked if they serviced united spa motors, the person said come on down sure we work on them. So packed my whole family into the pickup with the pump and off we went to the other side of town to have the pump worked on. We get there with our pump, go to the service center and are told that it would cost $ 45 service fee just to look at the motor pump when asked if they worked on united spas they service tech said no we don’t work on united spas! WTF! We specifically asked if you worked on united spas — hello!!! What a waste!

It has now been a few weeks since the incident occurred. Since then, we have called back 5 – 6 times. Still, no one answers our calls & no one returns our calls.

We bought a spa from Vintage. As soon as it was delivered they couldn’t care less about us what-​so-​ever!!! We had a warranty issue they never came out for. We called to ask how many gallons of water it held so we could put the chemicals in, we were told, «I didn’t sell it to you, you will have to talk to whom ever sold it to you». NO HELP AT ALL!!! Bad customer service. As a business owner myself, we would never treat anyone like that. Very disappointed!!! The star is only for the young girl we purchased it from, for her kindness and enthusiasm.

i resurfaced my pool recently with pebble tec by adams pool company and they recommended vintage pool services to me for the start up service. The start up service was professional and I had no issues with them as they had a experienced pool guy perform the 4 week treatment. Then i decided to keep them on service and initially the service was professional until they gave me a trainee who really doesn’t understand the concept of adding chemicals to a black pebble tec pool. this employee poured the chemicals in the exact same spot every week and now has bleached the side of my pool. NOT good… i complained and aaron called and we set up an appointment for 10 am today and he never called to let me know he was running late. I had to call the company twice to find out his ETA. He was so unprofessional. he ended up being almost 3 hours late. Arron never accepted responsibility for not calling me and letting me know he was going to be late. This is not how one runs a professional company. Then he tried to turn the problem onto me and had the nerve to imply that the pebble tec was old or that i had something to do with the bleach stain… I grew up with pools and i know enough to know that you never pour the chemicals in one spot near the side of the pool. that you walk around the deep end pouring as you go away from the side of the pool to aid in diffusion of the chemicals and to avoid bleaching out the sides of the pool. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone for pool service unless you need start up service or need a pool cover.
I have to say that the support staff in the office were always professional and pleasant to work with. I had them research a pool cover for me and they bought it for me and then had 2 very nice guys come out and cut it to shape of my lagoon pool.
But, the price of their deluxe monthly service is a lot higher than of most other companies in the same geographical area. Especially, since the raw pool service employee barely stayed 15 minutes at my house to clean my pool and the charge was 104.00 a month… Not worth it.

this is a forum to where customers give there thoughts and you the company something to think about the next time.

I am in customer service and deal with customers around the world. This company obvious from their ratings and services have no clue to customer satisfaction.
Get it right the first time… the ratings speak for themself…
I stand behind what i said… obviously this company is so UN-​proffesional they have to retalliate to customers reviews and real time experience with there company in a UN-​PROFFESIONAL MANOR. The issue was not a one time deal… The point is the feild tech would HARRASS my wife… While i was at work… let me say this AGAIN HARRASS my wife while I was at work. After countless efforts to have the feild tech call me to no response.

Obviously your company has grown to NOT accept bad reviews and are now turned in a direction of treating customers or should i say EX-​CUSTOMERS in a half ass manor.

This is an update from my last review. I’ve spoken to Aaron a couple of times and *think* my issue is resolved. I’m still not wow’d be their customer service. And I still haven’t received an updated bill with my credits for the weeks I wasn’t serviced. But as of now, I’m happy because the pool is still being serviced and appreciate Aaron’s help.
