Third time in the past week this place is closed and posted that it was open on Unilocal

It’s Monday October 26th2015 at about noon. I Unilocaled this place and decided to give it a shot. The shop was closed and the sign in the window clearly shows that the should be open. This is the kind of behavior that sinks a small business

Food was pretty good. Interesting menu that also included Gyros. Very friendly service and fast food prep. They need some fly control. They also need a soda fountain rather than individual cans. Ingredients are interesting, but no way to build your own ham & cheese.

I ordered the pizza philly sandwich. The portion was large and tasted great! The service was friendly and quick. However, the refreshments were limited. For example, I asked for a glass of ice water and they only had cans and bottles. Also, the prices seemed a bit high. Even though the sandwhich didn’t disappoint, it was more than I can spend on a regular basis.

So I love the food period. The service is good and the woman behind the counter is kind and courteous, the reason I give it 1 star is for the hours! That is the most crucial part of owning a business. They close to early during the weekdays, open to late on a Saturday and still close early and Sunday they are non-existent. The food is a 5 star to me but the prices omg! I feel like if they charge that much they should be combos with like a fry and drink small or medium.

My girlfriend have been here once, and only once. Not because we don’t like the place but because the hours to place are ridiculous. I usually only write a review after the second or third time trying a place, but in this situation that’s not quite possible. The cheesesteaks are good, nothing to complain about, and the service was fine. The overall score would’ve been 3 – 4 stars but the hours are critical, especially on weekdays, I know I’m not the only one out there that would like to grab a quick cheesesteak when I get off work, but by the time I do it’s closed. Pretty disappointing, can’t see how this place stays in business as I previously was apart of a mom and pop restaurant too.

My boyfriend and I just recently moved to Manteca so we decided to try out some of the local shops they have. We were craving sandwiches so we decided to hop on Unilocal and found The Sub House. It’s a nice little shop, clean and very friendly lady who greeted us. We ordered to go and was super excited to try their menu. We were very disappointed in the amount of «philly» fries(I think thats what it’s called) that they gave. Very small portions and the subs were just alright. The meat lacked flavor for us that we ended up having to put other sauces just to make it taste better. Great customer services BUT it just didn’t do it for us.

They are rarely ever open. 11am-5pm serves a very small population. I would love to try them if they were open at a reasonable time. I always want to try them when I go to taqueria Manteca but they are closed.

The Sub House Manteca, makes the best East Coast CheeseSteaks. They give you a choice of cheese wiz or provolone and put it on an 8″ or 16″ roll(the roll is the softest most delicious bread I have ever tasted.

What a wonderful little addition to the Manteca food scene. The sandwiches are amazing and very filling for the money you spend. We went here 2 days in a row for work and if it wasnt the weekend, I would be eating here today.

The Philly Cheese Steaks are off the hook. The place will remind of the original Philadelphia cheese steaks, if you ever had them. There’s bobtail parking, if you drive a big truck, as this is located in a big strip mall. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the store was clean. I can’t wait until I come back to Manteca, to have another delicious Philly Cheese Steak.

The reason I rated this sub shop so low was because I wasn’t overly satisfied by the way people were hyping this place. The restaurant looks pretty empty and plain. I ordered an Original CheeseSteak and a Gyro. The service was good. The lady that took my order had a smile on her face the whole time and the food came out after a few minutes. Not too long. The original cheesesteak was okay. It wasn’t overly great. The meat was seasoned pretty good and there was a proportional amount of cheese and onions, but there was a lot of bread. Overall okay. The gyro was also okay. Not the best gyro I’ve had, but then again I’ve had real Mediterranean food so my standards are high. Also the tzatziki sauce was thicker than most with a lot of chunks. Overall okay.

I feel like such a terrible Unilocaler for not having reviewed the Sub House yet. I have been coming here since last year, I believe. And I found them on Unilocal(all the more reason I should have reviewed them already). Jasmine is the beautiful woman behind the counter who takes my order and always hands me pure deliciousness. My «usual» is the chicken and provolone, add mushrooms, no works. I’m not a big fan of mayo. As for sides, I have tried several. You can never go wrong with fries. Everytime someone visits from out of town, I try to take them here. I believe if someone is not within driving distance of the Sub House, they should at least experience them once in their lives. I should mention, despite not having spinach, which is what I typically add to my sandwich at The Cheesesteak Shop(I love spinach), the Sub House still has them beat. OVERALL: Food= 5 stars Service= 5 stars You can’t go wrong! Try them out for yourself. :D

Nice female at the register took my order with a smile. Always nice to have good customer service. Ordered the super cheesesteak because she recommended it, and a mushroom. She brought it to me with a smile too.(I like that if you get the receipt sent to your phone, it saves it and gives you a reward card instantly associated with your number-no need for a card!!!) Now for the food… delicious!!! The bread has just enough flavor. The steak is delicious, as are the toppings. Great overall experience.

Since they had Amoroso rolls, I wanted to trust them without a thought. I figured they knew enough about Philadelphia’s sandwiches that they didn’t need direction from me. I was half right. I ordered a half Italian sub(we called them Hoagies in Philly). The menu said 8 inches, which would be the same size as the half sub I got at Rocco’s in Manasquan, NJ. That one was so monstrously big that I had to take half of the half back to the motel. When the woman delivered it to the table, it appeared to be a more typical size and shape. It wasn’t very tall or wide, thankfully for me. Something was different as soon as I picked it up. Either the bread had gone stale or – they toasted it – or both, perhaps. In Philly, we call that a Grinder. You don’t do that unless requested. I know that most places west of Pennsylvania put their subs in the oven or toast them otherwise. It tasted good, but there was something strange, and I realized it far too late – mayonnaise. I should have asked to make it clear. Someone will think it ridiculous but mayonnaise is somewhat dangerous when it’s out too long, and I don’t care for it anyway. Yes, that goes for the spread at In-n-Out, also. All-in-all, they have a good sandwich, and I just have to remember to be specific with my order. Oh, and I thought that it was odd that they didn’t have a public restroom and sent people over the car repair place for that.

Fantastic!!! We shared the 16″ Super Cheesesteak. It was so good!!! The pepper relish is amazing, plenty of steak and cheese! They aren’t skimpy sandwiches! The garlic fries and sweet potato tots were a perfect side to this delicious sandwich! I seriously can not say enough good things about this place!!! You will not be disappointed!!! The owners are super friendly and their service is excellent! I can’t wait to go back!!!
