The place is a true gem in Manteca if you like sushi. Great appetizers. Huge selection of rolls, was really impressed. The service is very friendly and they were always smiling, good vibes all around. Definitely look forward to coming back.

Udon was bland. Some rolls were so salty it was hard to eat.

Family owned Japanese restaurant. The waitress is super friendly. I was here one year ago and her English has improved. There were 5 of us and we ordered 6 rolls, some appetizers, and a salad. The total was under $ 80. The rolls are very large in size and super tasty. The chef is very entertaining. He was also telling us how he got into the business. It was amazing how he jumped from one restaurant to another to learn this trade. Over all my family were very happy with the food. I felt like it was hope or family. The staff treated is very well. See you next year!

Food is aright, little bit more expensive than what its worth I think. Service was super long, probably the longest I’ve ever waited for my food and I sat at the sushi bar. I’ve been here before when they first opened, bought I’d give it another try. Nice people but unfortunately I will not be back.

Whoa whoa, 4 solid stars!?! Manteca neighbors you have let us down! As recent implants to the area we kept seeing this place driving around. Well, finally we decided to come today, Sunday afternoon for my mothers birthday celebration. $ 50 total because they deducted our cold/frozen chicken and salmon teriyaki Sashimi-ok Philli roll– ok Salmon skin roll-salmon skin was cold, we’re used to it being warm Chicken teriyaki«bowl” — cold/half frozen Miso soup-Luke warm Salmon teriyaki-tasted as if it were frozen for days, middle was still frozen and was water logged. Edamame– was the best part of this meal, was the only thing pipping hot! Service was slooooow. And there was only one other table there besides us. Sad celebration dinner for my mama. But we have learned this will not be our go to place for Japanese food. The whole time waiting we did not hear one thing being cooked. Do they microwave their teriyaki dishes? When we left and no one else was left in the restaurant did we finally hear them cooking something. On to the next place for hopefully better Japanese.

I can honestly say that I love this place! My boyfriend introduced me to this place and it is amazing. I live all the way in Hayward but always try to come when I am in the area visiting my boyfriends family. The service is wonderful as well. The owners are really sweet and friendly. The food is also really cheap compare to the prices in various sushi places in the Bay Area. I don’t understand why people complain! I wish they would open a restaurant near me because I will for sure go every week! Love love love their food! I would recommend trying their volcano roll and the fried CA roll, they are amazing! And you can’t forget about their friend Oreos, so yummy!

Service and food was great last night except for the ikura nigiri. It wasn’t fresh so I returned it. I learned that they freeze it. I was afraid of getting food poisoning but luckily it did not happen. This was my favorite sushi place but may need to rethink it. Just be sure to ask what is fresh when you order.

I like sushi with raw fish, not cooked. I ordered three things for take out, one yummy, one standard, one just ok. –The raw oysters were yummy, well seasoned and packaged nicely to go. Also a good price. –The spicy tuna hand roll was just ok. I would have preferred crispier nori and chunkier cuts on the tuna. I won’t order this here again. –The salmon topped lemon slice california roll was standard. I would order it again, but I prefer the version made at Kengo in Tracy because the roll is tighter and the lemon is fresher there.

Wifey and I were in Manteca and wanted sushi, we usually go to another place, but decided to try this place that we found on Unilocal. When we walked in I thought ok a lil bit out of the norm for a sushi place but let’s try it, service ended up being great, food was great! Glad we tried this place out! Try the avocado monster, screaming good, not on the menus though, all 3 rolls we ordered were fresh and tasty!

I came here for the first time yesterday with my grandmother. I have to say the food was very delicious and the people working there were very nice. The restaurant was very clean. The only reason I’m not giving it a full 5 stars is because when the food was served to us I noticed it wasn’t very hot.

I was working in the area for a couple weeks and went to this spot a few times while here. Although the restaurant was not very busy, the service and quality of food was great. I would recommend the Incredible, Forget Me, Aloha and Who am I(design your own) rolls. The presentation was beautiful and the owner was very nice to talk to. One time we got to talking about my favorite dish and he told me to hold on and went over to the sushi Table and whipped up his own take on it. It was amazing! Great experience.

This place is delicious!!! I’ve had more than one item on the menu and every single one exceeded my expectations. If you like sushi try the(Red Lion King) it’s soooooooo good. The people that own it are the nicest people you’ll ever meet, very hospitable :) this place is a hidden gem. Don’t miss out

Went to dinner with my parents and one of my sisters. First warning was that it was almost empty on a Sunday night. I had a bento box with teriyaki beef, chicken katsu, and tempura. Beef tasted burnt, chicken katsu was overcooked, and tempura batter sucked. The rice was okay once I put a bit of teriyaki sauce on it. The salad was also not good. The food came out so staggered that my dad(who’s food came first) was done eating by the time I got my food. And that was after the wait to even get the first person’s meal. At least the nigiri was okay and came out quickly.

To all the locals/homers that have contributed to this place getting 4 stars: KNOCKITOFF!!! Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t the worst, but the place failed to impress me in any area. The good: I wanted sushi for lunch, and that’s what I got. The«meh»: facility is slightly run down. Serving size was small, sashimi cuts were just ok enough for me to not complain about. The bad: sashimi came out at room temp. The refrigerated display case at the bar was empty, and I have no idea if they keep their fish refrigerated during the lunch«rush»(only 3 other people in the place). Friendly service, but I could have prepared my sushi quicker. This place is not expensive, but still overpriced for what you get. I could have had just as good sushi from Safeway at a fraction of the cost. I can’t see myself ever returning.

Negative stars an option? Where to begin? Extremely slooooooow service. Half of our party received their food a good 25 minutes before the rest of us. Teriyaki beef was unedible… literally could NOT be chewed. Sushi rolls were ok… but I’ve had better pretty much anywhere else. Waitress had her head sooooo far in the clouds, that complaining did no good. Prices slightly higher than competitors, but for the food and the service, ridiculously overpriced. Just nasty food and horrendous service. Still waiting for our check and we’ve been done for 30 minutes. Can’t say enough bad things. YUCK
