Manteca Bowl & Family Fun Center

Reserved two lanes for cosmic bowling… i was told that I had to come in to reserve them at 6 pm the day of… So I drove from lodi to reserve and pay for them. Was told I reserved my lanes from 12 – 2. We got there and got our shoes (didn’t even have to show our bracelets so I could have brought a ton more people for free haha) there was a family still sitting at the tables of our Lane just drinking. They didn’t leave until about 12:10…nobody from the ally came to make them leave so we had to ask them to. Kind of awkward. The lanes didn’t turn on for a few minutes so we started about 20 minutes late. Had fun bowling. It was kind of weird that the kitchen shut down 30 minutes after we go there… I wasnt told that when I came at 6 to pay. I was told we could order food and drinks all night. Anyways we had fun bowling. Nice music. Our group had a lot of fun. Then the light turned on about 15 minutes early and our lanes turned off 10 minutes before 2. They should have more enforcement of getting the previous people to leave and you should get to bowl until 2 if that’s what we pay for… when we complained we were given a card with 3 free games so that was nice.

This place is NOT how I remember from just last year– (new owners/​management perhaps?) We came with a group to bowl Sunday for my daughters birthday and after our experience, I will take our bowling business elsewhere from now on.
First of all, the elderly woman at the front desk (I wish I had gotten her name) is horribly RUDE. Maybe she should consider a new career choice where she doesn’t deal with the public. The rest of the young staff was pleasant enough, although for whatever reason they repeatedly reminded us they had a scheduled birthday party coming in. I have no idea why they felt the need to do so, maybe to get us out quickly? As if my money isn’t green?!!
I spent almost $ 100 for myself and guests to bowl– and later another $ 100 for 3 (yucky) pizzas and 2 pitchers of soda.
The kids had fun, so really that’s all that matters.
Oh, and as for that scheduled birthday party they couldn’t stop reminding me about? Funny thing, no said party ever showed up while we were there… interesting.

This place is a joke. Don’t get me wrong the bowling and everything fun, but the staff here is ridiculous. We came in and had a party, and had 4 lanes. Another party came and yelled at us saying we were talking there lanes, mind you that we been here hours before them. They are unorganize and need a better management. The staff here almost caused a fight between two parties. They need to get there shit together here.

This place is subpar with an atmosphere more like an arcade rather than a bowling alley. The new owner stated there would be improvements and nothing has changed. Still a single star establishment.

Not a bad place to bowl. Conveniently located right off of 99 and 120. Prices here are reasonable. $ 7 per hour is pretty decent and 5 dollars every additional hour. The lanes here are very well taken care of. They always oil the lanes in the morning and clean up the approaches which is really good. They have a really good pro shop here. One of the best pro shops i’ve ever been to. Frankie is great at drilling equipment and he gave me great tips on freeing up my swing. He also readjusted my span and redrilled all my equipment for only $ 50. I haven’t seen the prices at the snack bar yet, but I assume they’re decent. They also have a lot of games, so if you don’t want to bowl, you can go to their arcade. Atmosphere in here is really well lit and it’s great for kids. Weekends are usually packed so try to come on the weekdays. If you come here on the weekends, come early. Overall, I would give this place 4 stars.

Love love love this bowling alley! Checked out 2 other bowling alleys in my area. there was approximately a 2 hour wait at each one (even though I was told a 30−40min wait over phone) at any rate, we decided to come to Manteca Bowl. so glad we did. scored with a great groupon deal for 6 and there was no wait! We ordered food very fast and prompt service, friendly staff and all around a great time. Definitely worth the 15 minute drive and we WILL be back again!

I love this spot for bowling! It is a nice big alley and is very family oriented and safe. The staff is attentive and there to help when needed. The price is right here! Get there before noon on the weekends and you can pay per game instead of hour. Their ball selection is very organized. I choose to drive here instead of going to stockton or elk grove where I do not feel like safety is a concern. The food is also good and not badly priced. We will be back again soon!

Great spot to bowl. They have nice good size tables and chair on the lanes very spacious. Decent size arcade for the kids. And the sports bar is big music TV’s and dance floor.

No complaints. Been here to use the cages & to bowl for the kids. Kids loved the arcade although 1 or 2 games took their money. They were reimbursed though. Bar isn’t bad, nice & big.

Had a great time until I ordered food and it took a half hour. Pizza sticks (too much garlic) and potato skins (rock hard bacon). Be sure to order your drinks at the bar before 1:20 or Deana will tell you they stop serving drinks at 1:30. Regardless of what time is shown on your phone. She’s not nice about it either. Won’t be coming here anymore.

Wide open and clean. There was a change of ownership last summer, but as a league bowler, I don’t really see significant changes. The lanes are in good shape but are more challenging that the lanes in Stockton… people aren’t bowling 300s nearly every day here… they are far apart on the calendar. The ball returns work most of the time, but do jam up occasionally. Overall, the staff is pretty friendly… no complaints there. They have a pretty big arcade area and have batting cages (both softball/​baseball fast and slow pitch). I used to roll in a house in Stockton a few years ago… switched to the alley and have been rolling here for 3 years now, even though it is a much further drive than my local Stockton alleys. Guess that makes me a fan.

This place is pretty awesome.
They musta done some updating or something .
I am definitely feeling it, they have tons of TV’s here in the bowling area.
I came here spent hours bowling and watching all kinds of football.
I think I might have bowled one of my best games too soo the lanes must be pretty awesome.
Everything was really easy too figure out.
The customer service here is excellent.
Everyone here seemed too be enjoying themselves.
The prices aren’t bad either.
They have a great big arcade.
They even have line dancing here.
The bar area is nice and big.
Drinks were nice and crisp.
Lock your cars tho, The parking lot is big.
I’ve never had a problem with parking but please lock your car.
Maybe chain up your tires too.
THis is a great place for families too

1^st off I am not a bowler. but I was invited to go bowling. so I went. that’s why I’m reviewing this place. what I do know is bars and drinking and the bartender at this place is one snobby feline. she refused to serve my party more than 1 pitcher and cut me off completely. that’s not a big deal because a good bartender is supposed to know when a person has had too much. regardless she cut me off because I spilled a glass and did not allow anyone else from my party to order alcoholic beverages either. on top of that the manager approached my now sober party twice within the evening to harass us. I’m pretty sure they wanted us out. once my family and friends finished their game we went next door to jack in the box and had much more fun just talking. we won’t be going back. if your a person of ethnicity I would stay away from this place. oh almost forgot the server always had what I like to call the «diarrhea face» Everytime she looked over. but in her defense she could have had diarrhea.

We had a soccer tournament in Manteca so we needed a place to hang out to stay dry and warm between our games.
I think this place is prefect for the kids (under 10). They have lots of open safe place to play. Arcades. Spacious bowling allies, and a separate section for adults bier and big screen tvs. They also had big screen tvs above the seating area for the bowling allies so we were able to watch football.
We bowled for an hour, ordered a picture of beer. We were thinking about ordering a pizza. It would have been convenient because you can eat and bowl on the allies.
You pay by the hour and before you start bowling.
I highly recommend this place if you have large parties (e.g like a soccer team) with kids and adults. The food doesn’t appear to be anything to rave about but this place creates a sense of community.

I wanted a very simple, stress free birthday party for my son’s 6^th birthday. Three weeks prior to party I checked out Manteca Bowl. I was given a tour of the party room and told details of what was included. Seemed like it would work out well. Two days prior to party I called to confirm, left voice mail, no return call, the day before I left a voice mail, no return call. I arrived to the bowling alley 40 minutes before start of party and was shocked that the party was not set up, the party room was still not entirely cleaned from the last party. I recognized the same garbage, still left in the room from my walk through several weeks prior. Nothing was done to prepare for the party. I set it up myself, I had to ask the staff to get the table cloths, balloons, paper products, etc. When it was time to bowl, the lanes weren’t ready for the kids, kid bowling balls weren’t set out for them, we had to find our own, the standard for the ball to set on for kids to bowl was not provided, one of the guests found them for us.
If I had not arrived early to the bowling alley, we would not have started on time and would have been waiting around for the party to be set up. As it was, they were still blowing up the balloons as the guests were arriving. My first guest had a hard time finding us, no one at the desk had any idea there was a party, the party room doors were shut, luckily the guest found us. Another guest, same thing, and almost left, thinking she had the wrong day/​time.
I could go on, but basically it was not a stress free experience. I put on my party face and made the best of it for my son’s sake.
Do not choose this place for your child’s birthday party!!!

Time for an update! The bowling alley has new owners and I have to say it’s improved in some ways and been not so good in others. I bowl on a few leagues so I spend a good amount of time there so I tend to pay attention to these kinds of things. The snack bar has improved 100% as far as the menu goes. The food is so much better and the prices are not bad either. Before the prices seemed high for what you get now it’s worth it. The service is still about the same. They hired more people If you want something to eat good luck finding someone to take your order. They still have the bell at the counter but that does not mean someone will come if you ring it. My biggest issue with the place now and that the new owners are raising prices for regular bowling and for leagues. When they oil the lanes right before the leagues they are using less oil to save money. So by the time we reach the last games on league nights the lanes are so dry. That makes the lane conditions really crappy to bowl on. Alot of league bowlers are upset about it and some have even quit. I just find it ridiculous that they choose to do this. I get saving money but if you are going to charge us more for our leagues then you damn well better oil the lanes properly. I am hoping they come to their senses soon enough. The charge by the hour now instead of paying for each game which makes them more money in the end. They just recently took over so I am sure more changes are coming.

I’ve been coming here for 7 years now and since new ownership this year, I’ve seen everything go up in price. Some things on the menu has gone up almost double. There’s no other place around town to bowl. So if that’s all you want to do, then it’s a good place for that. Pool tables aren’t the greatest and lighting sucks. Drinks are overpriced as well. Not happy about this place anymore.

So I’m a league bowler here and they have cosmic Bowling on Fridays from 12 to 2a. At 10:40p I asked to have another hour of bowing before the cosmic Bowling started and the girl behind the counter told me i couldn’t because it interfered with cosmic Bowling. Soo, an hour after 10:40p would be 11:40p, 20 min before cosmic bowling would start. After i had already played one hour and had to wait because of a machine malfunction that sucked up 15 minuets of my hour. Starting to hate the ignorance of some of their employees, it’s just bad customer service.

I’m giving this a 1 star, not because of the bowling, we have bowled there before and it was like 9 bucks for a hour of bowling. I’m giving it a 1 star for there customer service in the arcade room. Waiting in a line for 30 mins get up to the counter and I say I have 113 tickets I’ll just take (something that cost 75 and I’ll be out of here) sorry sir you have to have your tickets counted you waited in the wrong line. Wtf I just waited in line for 30 mins. Can’t you just give me that little cheap toy that cost 25 for these 100 you guys will be coming up with extra tickets you can give to some one else: just ignores me so then I just tossed my tickets to another kid in the other line.: what a waste. The teen anger behind the counter; you are a idiot really would of taken you 5 seconds I didn’t need all this stuff I was going to pick out

1^st time here the other day. Came in with family. Had no problems! it was bowling. they have about 50 lanes, large space for sitting and eating and watching your family or friends bowl. Good selection of different colors of the bowling balls and overall clean!
walked over and also took a look a their bar area, they have a nice big bar and huge dance floor. High ceilings and very cool inside.
They also have pool tables, darts, batting cages and a arcade!
