I went to this place to buy a sectional… well I found the one I liked and purchased it. The young guy who helped said, it would take a week to get it delivered. The day finally comes and my sectional is delivered. When my husband comes home he inspects the sectional, and guess what, it was the display they had at the store. The sectional had a few little tears and you can tell it had been used!!! I call the store and tell them about the sectional, how i think it’s the display and they assured me it was not, that the display was still in the store. They were gonna look into it and they were gonna call me back. My husband said, let’s go back to the store and talk to them in person. So we go the store and guess what, the sectional was not there! I confront the guy who sold us the sectional and he told us that he had just sold the sectional 2 days ago, when they had just told me the sectional was still on display! I asked for my refund, and they said they would have to go pick up the sectional first and then they would give a check at the time of the pick up.
Future customers if you plan on buying at this store, PLEASE check the furniture that is being delivered to you!!! Make sure you get what you paid for!!!

This is an amazing locally owned store. Their prices are competitive, the people are customer friendly and the products are well made. They gave me a discount for buying that day. I bought a large leather sofa last year and a bedroom set this year. After delivery of the set I noticed a defect. They ordered a new one and swapped it out, no questions asked. Both the owner, Alan, and my sales person, Sophia were wonderful. Next time I need furniture again, I know where I’ll go.

No special sales on Veterans Day. They said everyday can be a sale, but weren’t offered one for our couch.
We were told at time of purchase that they would move our old couches outside for free. And if we wanted our old furniture hauled away it would be $ 40. When they arrived we told them we wanted our old couched moved outside on our patio. The delivery men said that would be $ 40 in cash. I believe the delivery men were trying to scam us into getting $ 40 in cash to keep for themselves. We had to move our old furniture outside ourselves after being told otherwise.

After shopping for a new sofa for months I found one there I liked. It was about $ 300 more than I wanted to spend but I was told this was sofa was extremely well constructed so I went ahead and paid $ 1300 to order it. It was delivered and I loved it. Unfortunately within a year there is an internal structure problem. After months of phone calls and emails there has been no resolution and I don’t expect one. All I can say is buyer beware.
PS. Avoid Fairmont Designs furniture. I tried contacting them directly several times and can’t even get a response from them.

Worst Experience ever!!! After 6 months awaiting a custom ordered sectional our sectional arrived. After 6 months the fabric started to shred. We contacted the store and we were assured since we bought the extended warranty we would be covered. After another 6 months of back and forth with the store and them finally giving us the manufacturers cell phone number they picked up the couch. 8 months later we still did not have the couch. We also did not have a loaner couch. We paid $ 2500 and have never been so mad at a company. We finally received what they said was our couch. The couch is a completely different color and the back cushions look horrible and the buttons are silver not copper. They have caller ID and have been avoiding our numbers but when called from a different number answer. Finally we had to go into the store for the 3^rd time and they said they would replace the buttons but if we didn’t like them then we were out of luck and would need to contact the manufacturer. We plan to file a small claims case against them and I plan on printing out all the horrible reviews as evidence that they are just out to rob people of their money. I plan on getting every penny and then some!

Best furniture spot around in the 209 area! Great selection of items. Me and the family have bought multiple items over the years like sectionals, dining table, bedroom furniture, entertainment centers, etc. At pretty affordable prices too. Customer service is always top notched prolly due to fact it’s a family owned store. Whatever your furniture needs are they can help you source it, deliver it, and set it up for you. I highly recommend em to all my friends and family

I been coming to this furniture store for the last 10 years and the prices are reasonable the staff are friendly.
Minh is one of the best salesman in the floor I recommend you talk to him whenever you need furniture give him a call.

I’ve never been treated so rudely! I came to the store knowing exactly what I wanted! (A specific coffee table) But the saleswoman and I couldn’t meet on a price that both of us could live with. So… she was in the process of showing me something similar in a catalog, when her coworker, whom I can only describe as a Gipsy, taking up space on a couch behind me, decided to break out in song. The little tune was something like. … La La La Dee Dee Dee Say Goodbye to the table guy. Yah. I know! I couldn’t believe ears! I think she only intended for the person working with me to hear the lyrics. I told the saleswoman working with me that I can take a hint. She wasn’t sure what I ment. When I repeated her coworkers lyrics, she was speechless. I turned to the Olé Gipsy singer, repeated the lyrics back to her, told her too that I could take a hint, (that they don’t want my business) said goodbye, and while I turned to walk out, she said goodbye back to me in a snerky manner! And jokingly said to the other saleswoman, did I really say that?! (Meaning herself) I just couldn’t believe what had just happened! After calming down 15 min. I returned to the store. The original saleswoman was busy on the phone, so. I was now face to face with the rude gypsy singer. She didn’t recognize me at first. I said, I’m back! Her jaw dropped and said oh SH– -!! I calmly expressed how I felt about her rudeness. She gave me a less than half harted apology. I said that I had never been treated so rudely in all my life! Then she said «what?! You don’t accept my apology?!» Now I’m starting to get MAD because she’s MAD about me not accepting her apology. I explained that the apologies should have been said at the time of her stupid actions!!! Or maybe she should have checked herself! And not have acted so rude to begin with! I also said that I gave them a chance, even after their bad Unilocal reviews! And that they would now be getting another bad one! I still don’t understand why she acted that way! Maybe mental issues? If so… I feel sorry for her, and anyone she comes into contact with! Stay away from the madness at Legacy Furniture!

Absolutely the worst experience ever! Just avoid going there at all costs. There’s one guy, maybe in his late 20’s early 30’s, all tatted up, and as ghetto and unprofessional as they come. Also a short overweight lady who also speaks Spanish. They’re meant for each other and they will gain up on you if they don’t agree with your choices. ESPECIALLY if you’re attempting to return something.

I am writing this review to warn others about purchasing your merchandise from this store. My husband and I searched for days to find the best sectional for our family of 5. We looked in Manteca and Modesto and decided to go with American Furniture Gallery because their prices were either comparable or a little lower than the other furniture stores. We also chose them because we were told by Alan (the owner) that we would have our sectional within 2 – 3 weeks and because they were very willing to work with what we wanted.
My husband and I went in and purchased a sectional on 2.1.2013 for $ 1947.41. Again, we were told we would have it within 2 – 3 weeks. I called Alan the day after the 3^rd week hit, we were told they still didn’t have it, As soon as it came in they would let me know. The 4^th week hit. Nothing. No phone calls, no delivery… nothing. I called again. Spoke with Alan. He gave me the excuse that they received a delivery, but for some reason the sectional wasn’t on the truck. He was going to contact the Manufacturer and find out why. No calls back. Week 5: I called again, The sectional should be coming to their store on that Thursday. We would have it Friday. Thursday rolls around. No calls from Alan. When I called, he always had an excuse for me. Finally Friday morning I called. Feeling like I was being taken advantage of. Was I getting my couch or not. Did they just swindle me out of $ 1900? Friday evening, 6pm I called AGAIN. Alan said they have the couch. They are delivering it that night. We finally got the couch at 8pm that night. The delivery crew set it up, it looked great,. We were very happy. Happy that we got the couch and I didn’t have to deal with that store anymore.
We had the couch for about a week when we noticed the cushions were sinking in at the edges. So when you sat on two cushions at the same time you would fall into the middle of the couch. My husband unzippered the material, looked inside the cushion and each cushion was missing about a foot of springs. No springs, no wonder when you would sit you would fall in. WHAT? Who does this?
I called Alan back. Great! I have to deal with this store again. I told Alan what was going on. He said to come in, he would take our complaint and order new cushions. May 3^rd. I went into the store. Made a formal complaint with the owner. He said he was ordering new cushions, we would have them in a week. Two weeks passed, we didn’t hear from Alan. I called and spoke with Robert. He advised that Alan was out of the county, he thought Alan ordered them, but didn’t know what was going on. Three weeks, four week, five weeks. I called again. Spoke with Robert. Again! He said Alan was still out of the country. There was nothing he could do until Alan was back at the store, which was the end of June. I basically vented my frustrations out on Robert, who was very understanding and nice, but didn’t help me at all. He explained that he didn’t like how Alan would tell the customers it would only take 2 weeks to get merchandise, when they know it takes 4 – 6 weeks. Because it misleads the customers and they call upset and frustrated. agreed with Robert and advised that if Alan was honest with me I would’ve understood and not been so upset with them. Now, I’m waiting again. Spoke with someone else at the store on July 1^st. Demanded on explanation on our cushions. Said they were going to have the MFG call us regarding this matter. 30 mins later the MFG calls me. Asks me to forward him pics of the cushions. Done! July 6^th, Alan calls. He’s so happy he has our cushions! My husband goes to pick them up. 5 of the 6 are correct. The 6^th cushion is missing the L piece that goes on the end. Instead of bothering with the company again, my husband rigged it, cutting the piece off of the original cushion. It looks great!
I can’t believe how much grief, and stress has gone on during this purchase. I will NEVER EVER buy from them again. I will never refer anyone to buy from them. They are liars, and don’t treat the customers with honesty and respect.
Finally July 1^st. I got a call from the MFG of our couch.

Me and my family went into look for furniture and were so amazed with the quality and prices. Tomas helped us and he was so kind and worked with our budget he gave us an amazing discounts. Our deal was so great we decided to purchase an additional piece of furniture we weren’t thinking of purchasing. We walked away with a beautiful rustic table, a rustic bench and two chairs to match and a beautiful wooden chest for our living room. One of the few businesses that give an amazing military discount! Family owned and happy to know that our local business provide such great quality, service and prices!

Warning Warning Warning… Do not trust these people… we had a horrible experience. We went in buying a sectional with chase, coffee table, end table kitchen set. When delivered we complained to owner that they Squeak so bad and the kitchen table bench buttons popped off literally popped off in the air. When they picked up the sofas for repair my son drove by they were in alley with plastic. When I complained he laughed at me… my bad for trusting them… abort abort don’t look here

This store is called Legacy Furniture Gallery now. I just purchased a new sofa and love seat. There was some confusion on my part but the owner was willing to work with me and all was made good. Sophia was the sales person that worked with me in my purchase. I think the best complement that I could give Sophia and her boss is I feel like I have made new friends. They went above and beyond to make this purchase a good one.

Pretty junk. That’s exactly what they sell. We bought couches less than two years and have had nothing but problems. It fell apart a few times, cup holders majorly faded. They came and fixed it within that first year but after that you are on your own. So you basically get a pretty, decent prices piece of junk. I definitely have to but new couches now and I definitely will not be going back! This place is nothing but problems. A major rip off.

I did not end up buying my bedroom set here there prices were abit higher then the other stores i shopped at but the help i recived when here was good !
The furniture we looked at was of ok quality & the selction was actually pretty good, if they had some better prices or would have negotiated abit better i may have purchased here.
In our current economy i found most other furniture stores to be more aggressive price wise to earn your business, i would reccomend everyone shop around most furniture stores in this toen carry the same items and you should sho[p at least 3 stores before you make your decision.

Bought a sectional (with four recliners) in 2006, after having it delivered we noticed that you could not open both recliners that were on sides of the center (curved part) at the same time. They overlapped each other and immediatly noticed small wear because of it. They took off a couple hundred from the price. Then a few months in, we started having a problem with one of the recliners.(not the same recliner near the corner) They came to the house and repaired it themselves. (screws were coming out and finding them on the floor) the next time same chair (months later) parts falling apart on it. They came and repaired again. Third time I call for the same part, they let me know the MFG is out of business. They come repair again. The fourth time, they were rude to me on the phone. They took my invoice number and never called back, even after a second call.
This issue was from the start. Will not return to the store.

Took 2 months for couches that I ordered to arrive. They NEVER did soooo I finally said eff it! Had to go with a different furniture store.
I was given the run around every time I called. Glad I went with their competitor to find my couches.

As a new homeowner, I did a lot of research and browsing around before I chose the place where I wanted to purchase my furniture.
On my first visit I was greeted by Allen. He was very professional and was very knowledgeable about the products in his store. I was just browsing so I appreciated that he wasn’t hovering over me as I shopped around. He was also readily available for any questions I had.
My second visit I dealt with Minh. Like Allen, he maintained a professional attitude while being knowledgeable. His suggestions were very helpful as I wasn’t an expert on home décor. I purchased a sectional along with a TV stand.
The furniture arrived in a timely manner as Minh said, and the men that delivered my furniture were courteous and efficient.
Overall, I had a great experience with American Furniture Gallery and will be going to them in the future when I am ready to purchase more furniture.

After visiting 3 stores in town I went into this store. It looked expensive from the outside so i was skeptical. It had a HUGE selection and they let you look around without following you. I told Alan that I wanted a bed frame for around 300 dollars and walla, he found me one I liked. He even ordered me a new one. Delivery and set up were only 25.00. I like to keep my business in Manteca if I can and will definetly go back here for my next piece of furniture.
