This place is adorable. They have about 10 tables, most will seat 2 – 4 people. The food is fantastic and portion sizes are larger than I expected. I have been here several times and have found one consistent issue, they are slow. Like, really slow. It is not uncommon to wait a long time for your food, which is okay because I understand it takes time to prepare. However, not okay to wait 20+ min to pay the bill, especially when only 4 or 5 tables in use. Also, I haven’t been wowed by the desserts here so I usually skip them.

Very good food. You can definitely tell it is all homemade. I am not sure what one of the reviewers was talking about with velveeta or american cheese in the quiche — but it is definitely not. The pear salad is amazing! Also, you can get salad/sandwich/soup combos at lunch. It is a bit pricey but nice for a splurge.

Average at best, this tea room is nothing out of the ordinary. I had the quiche which tasted like it had chunks of either Velveeta or American Cheese, neither of which I am a fan of in quiche and I believe the crust was store bought. The Caesar Salad could have been prepared in a more«ladylike» and friendly manner. The lettuce was VERY coarsely chopped which would have been fine for a steak house. The Crème’ Brule had a nice flavor but the carmelized sugar was burned so bad that we had to pick it off. :(I was disappointed in this meal as the quality didn’t justify the price.

Brought my husband and mother in law here and wasn’t totally sure what to expect(particularly with regards to food) — everything was great and everyone cleaned their plates. Tea selections were creative but wish we had just a little more at the end(each ordered our own cup rather than a pot). We’ll return to try brunch!

Charming escape from cookie cutter, fast & trendy eateries. The chicken salad was very good with grapes & pecans, the quiche was average as well as the sandwich but the tea & mini-muffins made up for whatever was lacking. Hope this spot stays busy & around for some time. Take your time & enjoy.

This place just seems like it was made for women to go return to their childhood and have a tea party without forsaking elegance and sophistication. It seems like it is geared more for women but my dad loves to go there. His personal favorite is the spinach and bacon salad and the bread pudding with Caramel sauce. The specialty teas are excellent. Each one has it’s own special quality. It’s a great place for a ladies luncheons and even breakfasts.

I’m either really easy to please or I’ve just been extraordinarily lucky this week. I believe I have given 5 Stars to each of the last 4 or 5 restaurants I’ve visited recently… well here’s another one! I’ve been on the lookout for local eateries with something different. Most have been quality«mom and pop» diners. This place does not have that feel… its a «tea room» for crying out loud! Linen tablecloths, formally set with china(Royal of London), silverware, mirrored centerpiece with fresh-cut flowers, antiques, chandeliers, etc… you get it! Let me start by saying that I’m just like any other guy: I love biscuits and gravy, a nice two egg breakfast with bacon and grits, a waffle with butter and syrup with a side of sausage… hell, I’m actually a true fan of the Egg McMuffin! But for some inexplicable reason I really wanted a cup of hot tea with breakfast this morning. Enter, Unilocal. Had a pot of orange/clove tea… it was perfect, as were the complimentary blueberry and cranberry muffins. Whatever you do, don’t tempt me with a breakfast special called«Crab Cake Benedict» because I’ll probably order it… and it better be good! It wasn’t good. It was great! It was probably the very best single breakfast item I have ever encountered! I don’t need to describe it… it is exactly what it sounds like! The service was every bit as good as the food! Meghan was my waitress, as well as the waitress for the other tables and she was very friendly and very attentive, moving about with grace and efficiency… almost like she wasn’t even pregnant! The owner and chef came out to ask how it was.(More owners and chefs should do this.) Not really sure what’s behind the name, but Kupa Tea is definitely MY cup-of-tea…both literally and figuratively. It’s kind of a «splurge»…but if I’ve ever got an extra twenty bucks for breakfast/brunch and I’m anywhere near Mansfield, I’m coming here!

Brought my daughter to this place for lunch. Elegant relaxing atmosphere. Excellent service. 5 star food best I’ve had in years. Teas are delicious and are available to buy in loose leaf form to take home. This is the first I’ve ever felt compelled to write a review.

Went here with my daughter and grandkids. First they serve these wonderful muffins. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad which was excellent. I don’t often order dessert but I tried the cheesecake, which I understand they make from scratch, and it was also excellent. I would eat here more often but I live in McKinney.
