Bay State Envelope is an industry leader in envelope design, manufacturing and printing. We are a woman owned company, headquartered in Mansfield, Massachusetts, mid-​way between Providence, Rhode Island and Boston, Massachusetts. We have worked with clients in all major industries, which allows us to understand your business needs and provide solutions that meet your envelope, print, fulfillment, and mail needs. We work with our valued customers to help evaluate and suggest ways to reduce printing and mailing costs, while improving the effectiveness of communications.

History

Established in 1987.

Jim Skogseth and Russ Frizzell met in 1981 when Jim moved from Chicago and accepted a position as operations manager for Boston Envelope Company. Russ and Jim quickly found that they shared many interests beyond business and quickly became friends. When Boston Envelope failed in April 1987, the two men saw an opportunity and seized it. They leased 5,000 square feet of warehouse space in an old Textile building in Foxboro, Massachusetts and started what is now Bay State Envelope.

Relying on the loyalty of Russ’ customers and Jim’s tenacious ability to get things done, the company conservatively grew, adding personnel from a talented pool of former co-​workers. The company established a reputation for providing the very best in customer service, quality, and reliability.
