Well, they’re here on Unilocal,so I may as well say something. I used to live in Manitou Springs.
The Cops in Manitou are really nice. If you’re stuck on the far side of town and need a ride back up the hill, they’ll give you a ride if you ask nicely and they’re not too busy. How many times have you hitched a ride in the back seat of a cop car for fun?

3000 calls for service a year? Ahh that’s why I see the Officers hanging out at 7 – 11 on Manitou Ave. all the time. :)
All my experiences with them have been pleasant, even if it seems they don’t know what they’re doing. Like the night I got stopped on Manitou Ave. after passing by said 7 – 11. The Officer said that I had completed a «suspicious U-​turn». Hmmm. Yeah.
