Caddy Shack

The Caddyshack is clearly in the midst of a eebirth. With new owners, this course sports many new improvements, including fresh greens and some beautiful landscaping. It’s not quite ‘on par’ with the landscaping at Village Greens, but the course grounds are pretty impressive. The course itself is very creative-​and, dare I say, one of the most challenging in the county. Odds of you getting a hole in one are pretty minimal; elevation changes are drastic, greens are long, and holes are difficult to hit with one putt.
This is a course worth visiting. It’s frustrating, it’s beautiful, and it’s only getting better.
Nice snack bar/​resturaunt is a plus, but we didn’t eat there, so I can’t speak to the quality.
We got this off an online deal-​double take, perhaps– so keep your eyes open, and this course becomes even more enticing!

I guess let me start out by saying the obvious that any review written prior to 2015 is irrelevant as things at Caddy Shack clearly have improved big time with the new ownership.
Let’s first talk about the golf. Yes, the prices are a bit on the steep side at $ 8 for adults and $ 6 for kids but damn, this is one hell of a course. I mean you start out with a first hole that is triple tiered! Nothing like getting your balls broken with a snowman on #1 if you play the entire hole.
The rest of the course looks like it was landscaped by the staff at Longwood Gardens while the holes themselves are quite honestly very, very hard. Par is a feat on a lot them and holes in one have to be as rare as winning the Powerball jackpot. I could see someone like Rory McIlroy quitting on #5 and then saying that Augusta National was easier. Hyperbole aside, the course is flat out amazing. Tough holes, unreal landscaping and even some wildlife thrown in as well with ducks, toads and butterflies everywhere. This course to me easily rivals the Gold Course over at Village Green and I never thought there could be a course in the area as nice except now, there is.
As for the food, you’re not going to be blown away with the menu as it is diner-​esque comfort food but the prices are reasonable and things were served up fairly quick. The kids meals are pedestrian meaning that they neither impress nor do they stink just like the chicken cheesesteak I had was good except for the sauce which thankfully I got on the side as it was very bitter (aside of the idea that putting red sauce on a cheesesteak should be felony).
So forget whatever you might have seen here before or whatever you thought was here as Caddy Shack is a first rate unique course that needs to be played and if you’re so inclined the food isn’t half bad either.

We were told that with the new ownership they had improved. We were told wrong. I ordered a chicken meal and my wife a cheeseburger sub. After waiting 35 minutes with no other customers, we received our food and went home. The sub was moderate at best and had tomatoes even tho it was specifically requested no tomato, and the onions didn’t taste good. The chicken was acceptable, although I specifically requested breasts and received a thigh and wing instead, the potatoes were nowhere near cooked (and after 35 minutes, there’s no excuse). Unacceptable. We will not be going back. Very very disappointed.

Good course. Well maintained with new AstroTurf throughout. Holes were nicely designed, challenging but not too hard. Staff was friendly. Food smelled good and shaded deck would be a nice place to eat

Lived In Manheim 23 years as a child it was a decent mini golf course, over the years it has gone to hell in a hand basket. It’s run down, dirty, poorly maintained and just ugly. Staff is usually rude and obviously hates their job, I long for this places past to come back up honestly I’d rather drive up route 72 and look over to see swampland or forest not this nasty ratty mini golf course.

The absolute worst place I’ve ever been in my life. The owner literally threatened us because of a coupon he refused to redeem. Not even worth you reading this review. The food was gross and there was a bug in the ice in our birch beer. The owner lied about where they got their ice cream. This is a wasteland mini golf course. If I could give it less stars I would. I’m an upstanding citizen that enjoys the fruit of civility. I witnessed the altercation. All the rest I actually experienced.

This course is all right. It’s challenging, sure… But it’s poorly maintained. So many small problems with it. The staff is pretty friendly, at least.
It’s convenient to get to from the main road through Mainheim. It has a nice location, too. But really, the torn green and random overgrown plants that cover portions of it are a bit much.

Honestly, it is a challenging course, but thing is, its poorly maintained. I mean, sure I did this as a round with a few friends from faire, but still, the owners of the course could better maintain it, so many holes on the putting courses, dried up pools that should have water in them, and they need to oil the water wheel, that infernal squeaking…
While at it, I wasn’t allowed to take my drinking water on the course. Really? Its just water, what’s gonna hurt if I take it? Seriously, I know no food or drink, but I need to stay hydrated.
Please fix this course! Someone! No really! Fix this course!

Great mini-​golf, terrible chili dogs

Inexpensive and challenging mini golf course! There are several holes that are sloped and a few that have little obstacles on each, definitely the most challenging yet fun course in this area! Never ate at the restaurant yet. FAVE mini golf place!

Ok course but poorly maintained give the $ 6/​adult fee. Needs a lot of repairs to make it more enjoyable. Go to the course in Strasbourg.
