Very impressed with the restaurant! The food is very unique and delicious. The big Kahuna burger is amazing as well as the wraps. The ribbon fries as appetizer are spectacular! The one time they got a «to go order» wrong, when I told them about it they went out of their way to make things right and then some. The only small disappointment is no military discounts.

We went to Wahoo this past weekend with a small group and found it to be a nice change from the usual places in Aggieville. I had looked at the menu before leaving for Manhattan and decided I best get something elsewhere since they don’t have anything typical on their menu. I love the creativity in their dishes, so I don’t dock them any points for that, but I would love to see some chicken strips or a chicken breast, or anything I could eat without removing the overwhelming majority of ingredients. My boyfriend enjoyed his mixed seafood special, but two people in our group shared a stir fry that they felt was much too heavy on cumin. In my opinion, it’s a bit too pricey for what you get, but most everyone else was happy with their food. Also, they had half priced sangrias though, which were great for $ 2.50. For two people, you’re definitely looking at spending at least $ 40 if you each get an entrée and a drink, even with their specials. The only other issues were the volume of the place, and the uniform, or lack thereof. It was very loud in there, not someplace you’d want to go to on a first date or trying to get to know anyone for that matter. Secondly, the waitresses and hosts have no uniform. That always seems a bit unprofessional, but in this case, it was beyond that. One girl had on a dress that was very cute for a night out on the town, but WAAAY too short to work in. Not only could we see the outline of her thong every time she walked by, but she kept bending forward to set down drinks, menus, etc… you get the idea. Not the best visual for those at our table who were trying to eat.

My friend and I were there on a busy Saturday night. We waited for a while until there were seats available, but the waiting was not too long. First impression was that the place is good for groups of people, and there is a bar(though I did not get a chance to try the drinks there). The service there was good. I ordered hanalei bay pasta, which was better than I expected. The sauce was a bit spicy yet added special flavor to the dish as a whole. The combination of chicken, sausage and shrimp was absolutely delicious, and the shrimps were really good. However, the bread came with the dish was somewhat plain. I like the dish even though it was a bit pricy.

Tried this place out for date night. Beautiful atmosphere, average friendly service. As another reviewer mentioned, they have a very creative menu. CONS: Where I think they get caught up is the fact that some of the food is average(some is very good, though) and there aren’t too many choices on the menu. PROS: I enjoy their curry chicken salad with tomato vinaigrette, and their crab rangoon dip. Both were very good and I’d recommend them.

Interesting place. My date who lives here and frequents the place brought me here. I don’t drink but bartender/manager is a good guy. I had to search the menu for something I could eat as I’m not someone who goes for fancy stuff and foreign food isn’t my thing. Finally settled on their bacon meatball sub which was quite good. Sadly for me, the only other thing I found on the menu that I would order would be a burger. I didn’t mind the blue lighted counter tops. Seemed like a popular place but believe you have to be into it to appreciate it.

The only thing that saved this trip to Wahoo from being a disaster was the potato ribbons. Do wish they would serve a little of the sauce on the side, because we are all fighting for the chips with the saucy-goodness. The seafood pasta dish was extremely dry. Hardly any sauce. The other entrees at the table were drenched in sauce. I was a bit jealous. Happy hour — we’ll be back. Dinner time, maybe, maybe not.

Went to Wahoo tonight with my family and had a great time. The wait was a little long 25 – 30 minutes but it was worth it! The wait staff was very friendly and prompt with service even with the amount of people that were also there. The appetizers we ordered were spectacular the Wahoo Potatoes and nachos. I also had the special which was a Cornbread Trout which was some of the best tasting fish I’ve had in Manhattan. I would highly suggest this as a spot to visit in Aggieville and Manhattan!

Definitely has to be one of my favorite places to eat in Aggieville. I’m not a fan of seafood, but they have something for everyone. It’s about as pricey as eating at Coco Bolos($ 40-$ 50 for two people), but is well worth what you will spend. I’ve gone when they have been very busy but they have never failed to seat us almost immediately and the menu is really a one-of-a-kind for the area. The staff have all always been very knowledgable and friendly as are all the owners who are there working right next to the staff almost every night. If you want something creative, different, and delicious, I would recommend Wahoo.

I really enjoyed my visit to Wahoo last night! We got there around 7 and were sat outside right away. My sister wanted to sit outside but it was a little chilly so they turned a heater on for us. It was really comfortable after that. I ordered the cucumber margarita and it was so/so. I wouldn’t really recommend it but my sister really liked her drink. We shared the crab Rangoon which was really good. Very rich and flavorful with real chunks of crab. It came with wonton chips. Yum! I ordered the Oahu wrap with coconut shrimp. It’s one of the best wraps I’ve ever had! It was a perfect mixture of sweet and savory. I really can’t believe how good the flavor of the coconut shrimp was. I wish I lived here so I could go back and eat this all the time. My sister and her husband really liked their meals as well, crab cake sandwich and a chicken sandwich. Also, the service was great! Our server was on top of everything and really friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited a friend in the area and he took us here since it’s «Kansas-specific». Food: Got the Crab Ragoon dip as an appetizer, which was a bit too creamy for me. Also ordered the Wahoo Stir Fry. The food was drenched in the sauce, which was too sweet for me so I didn’t really enjoy my meal. Service: Decent. Got our orders and brought out our food in a timely fashion. No complaints, but nothing amazing either. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either — just okay. Wouldn’t come here on my next visit to Kansas.

Food was pretty average and the seafood is not very fresh(not ocean close by). The service is pretty slow even when they aren’t busy.

Had lunch on Saturday 11÷1÷14 …dynamite food. Felt like VIP at the bar. And staff was very friendly and happy. I think I sat next to a KC Royals player –so there’s that. The vitamin rimmed glass really helped me get the day started on my beers.(Don’t knock it til you try it) I got to watch college football and eat lunch all while enjoying adult beverages… This place is now a staple on my list whenever I visit. Great brunch on Sundays — chicken & waffles is must have… I should know.

Absolute worst dining experience in my life! I went here for my birthday, and was treated like dirt! First they couldn’t seat us, even though there were open tables EVERYWHERE. Then, I personally ordered a margarita, which I didn’t get for 15 minutes, when I had to ask for it a second time. My daughter asked for soup, which didn’t come until we were all done with our salads, and we had to yet again ask for it again. My dinner was cold. Drinks were never refilled, and I was double charged for my margarita. When I brought up my question to the server, I was ATTACKED by who I can only assume was the manager of the night. I tried to sympathise with the woman, thinking maybe the reason she was on the phone all night was because one of her employees ditched her, but she said no. I went back to the table to pay the bill, was explaining my distress to my mother, in the almost empty restaurant, when this woman tells me that I was screaming(I was absolutely not, I was 100% calm) but this woman brought me to tears by yelling ATME! I will never, ever, step foot in your restaurant ever again. My birthday tonight has been ruined.

This company has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Food was cold, drinks were never refilled, and they double charged for drinks. When I spoke to a manager she was incredibly rude and chose to yell at me for no reason. When a negative review was left on their page they made very rude remarks and then disabled reviews on their page.

My friend came here for her birthday dinner with her husband, child and parents. After receiving terrible service, long waits, cold food, and multiple charges for the same item, her and her parents were then yelled at by the manager on duty. Her child became upset and this whole ordeal ruined her birthday celebration. The staff here is rude, unprofessional and uncaring.

Pros: They have a creative menu. Nice patio area. Service was fine. Cons: The food was average at best. Bison burger was small and over cooked. Crab Rangoon dip was okay but not great.

I came here during lunch on a Wednesday. Place wasn’t busy and there were a few people at the bar. I was greeted and seated right away. I ordered the coconut shrimp wrap and it was delicious! If Im ever back I’m town I want to try the short rib wrap. The waitress was very friendly and asked if I needed anything a few times but not to the point where I was bothered. Overall great experience and food!

Came here on a Friday for dinner at around 8. Had to wait about 15 minutes to sit at the bar, but the hostess was pretty good about getting us drinks while we waited. Food is good, decently priced, and their Pimm’s cup is delicious. I had the crab bisque and an Oahu wrap with coconut shrimp. I do wish the Oahu wrap had more shrimp and less rice, but I’d definitely come back and eat here again. Service was fantastic. Our server asked if I needed a refill on my water even AFTER we paid the check!

This place touts its food as an Asian fusion… don’t go there if you actually know what Asian food tastes like, as you will be sorely disappointed. We had the Korean Barbeque ribs and there was NOT one hint of any Korean flavors in it… may as well have been KC Masterpiece on big country style ribs. I frequently cook Korean food and there is no mistaking it. We also had the Korean BBQ Pizza, again no Korean flavors just a weird fruit compote concoction. The theme of the restaurant is confusing as well… I expected there to be some sort of raw bar with the theme being fire and ice… I get the fire, where is the ice? Bottom line: too expensive, flavors not there, disappointing. I get that introducing Asian flavors in the Mid-West is a risky and daunting task, but if that is your schtick, then DOIT.
