History
Established in 2010.
Founders, Jill and Monica, met while working with families as SEITs (Special Education Itinerant Teachers). They talked with parents who would tell them how overwhelming it can be to take care of their children with special needs; organizing therapy schedules, doctors visits, all while balancing jobs and often tending to other siblings. The parents confided that they had little-to-no time to accomplish even their everyday tasks. Because of the intense love and care dedicated to their children, the parents would often let their own needs fall to the wayside. Jill and Monica understood that what these families needed was a little TLC and «Me/Us Time.» Unfortunately, for families of children with special needs, finding someone to provide child care that is experienced and knowledgeable is not always easy. This is how Village Playday was born. From the community, for the community!
