The Party Loft

We have held several events at the Party Loft, a birthday party and several fundraising events for a not-​for-​profit organization. The events have been a great success, everyone has enjoyed the room, the food and the service. Ilene is a true professional, we found her through a friend who studied event planning and took classes with her. I can give my unreserved recommendation to the Party Loft.

When we were searching for an appropriate place for our son’s wedding celebration in New York City, we happened on The Party Loft. We liked the website, and made an appointment with Ilene Lander. Five minutes into the conversation, we knew that Ilene could deliver the type of party we envisioned, and would handle every detail – from food and beverages, to linens, to floral arrangements. It was clear that she had the experience and attention to detail that make for a successful party.
We were impressed by the beautiful space and the extensive food choices – a delectable range of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, a jumbo shrimp cocktail fountain, several main course choices for the carving station and wonderful accompaniments… and, of course, desserts. We chose an open bar, signed an agreement – and were on our way.
The proof of the pudding came when our 60 guests arrived. People immediately felt «at home» in the elegant, romantically lit and beautifully appointed room. They enjoyed a cocktail, wine, or champagne and the assortment of hors d’oeuvres that flowed steadily. Soon the shrimp arrived – a big hit! Then, the meal itself… filet of beef, pork tenderloin, and succulent lamb chops with loads of trimmings.
But the special touches make for a memorable event and this is where Ilene excels. She helped us plan a special Dallas food station to honor my daughter-​in-​law and her parents; she suggested a signature cocktail named for the bride and groom. She even suggested a lovely favor – a great finishing touch. When I realized at the party that two guests were vegan, she didn’t miss a step and within minutes had the chef create special plates for them. She delivered so much more than promised.
The service was impeccable – from the wait staff to the bartender – and Ilene had that knack of ensuring unobtrusively that every detail went off without a hitch.
Our son and daughter-​in-​law, her family, and all our guest are still commenting about the fabulous party, the sumptuous meal, and the entire experience. The best recommendation I could give about The Party Loft (and Ilene) is that weI would have another party there in a heartbeat!
