Tamjid’s Halal Food

The chicken and rice is soooo good. The small chicken and rice is $ 4 and they really pack it in. I can barely finish it. You can’t get a better deal in midtown. The guys who run the truck are also the friendliest.

Compared to Halal Guys on 53^rd&6^th, this place is not as good. It’s actually different for it has more of an Indian taste. Don’t get me wrong it’s still pretty good. I got the Combo over rice and it was cooked fresh as I waited. I asked for all sauces to be put on top. The personnel taking my order was friendly and was very proud of the food they make, telling me in confidence to «come back if you like it», as he handed me his craft. The dish I had was good and very enjoyable, the meats and sauces were exploding with flavor. The only thing that took away from the greatness of this dish was their rice, it was tasteless. But overall, it was good!

I smell Middle Eastern food and think of a bazaar.
So YES I haggled, YES I got $ 1 off, and YES the food was yummy.
Plump, soft, flavorful rice, juicy well-​cooked lamb, CUCUMBER SAUCE, and awesomeness.
Only thing missin’ was a nice cute Arab boy.
