Tal Dagan, MD

I went to a concert not expecting it to be as loud as it was and the next day I noticed I couldn’t hear as well out of one of my ears. I saw my GP about it and he referred me to Dr. Dagan, who was able to turn a scary situation of me not knowing if I would be able to hear well out of my left ear ever again to having my hearing returning close to normal. Dr. Dagan and Chris (the audiologist who works there as well) are super nice, really accessible, and always take the time to answer any questions and explain everything that is going on in detail. They are also on-​time with appointments, and I’m never stuck waiting a long time. Thanks guys!

¹⁰⁄₁₀. Dr. Dagan is one of the best doctors I have ever seen! I had him repair my deviated septum and perform a rhinoplasty on my nose, both of which the outcome is beautiful and very successful. He is kind, patient, and very friendly — willing to explain every question I had and made sure I felt as comfortable as possible throughout the whole procedure. He makes sure his patients are well taken care of and feel safe and comfortable with everything that is going on for their services. Other family members of mine have seen him as well and we all adore Dr. Dagan! Would definitely recommend to all of my friends and I always look forward to seeing him again.

He spent far more time giving me unwelcome advice about allergies and weight loss than he did on the reason I came into the office. Then there was the nightmarish lack of follow-​up and responsiveness. It took forever to get a prescription from him and I felt like he didn’t even look at my test results since he asked me what I wanted (rather than telling me what I needed). When I got the prescription it was impossible to tell if he had written a 7 or an 11 and it took weeks to get that resolved.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dagan. He’s a great ENT. I started seeing him around 6 months ago. During my very first visit, through examining me and asking questions about my medical history and symptoms, he was able to discover my problem. He ran the tests that needed to be done, and ta-​da, he was right… I suffered from terrible allergies that were the root of all my problems. I also had a very deviated septum.
Within a couple of months we were already treating my issues and scheduling surgery. He made the whole process seamless. I was never worried. He answered every question thoroughly. Also, he’s pretty funny, which I totally appreciate. His team of doctors during surgery were also fabulous and extremely competent.
Dr. Dagan has changed my life. After years, I am finally breathing better. I no longer choke in my sleep. I used to have a constant red, runny nose and it’s completely gone.
To anyone looking for a good ENT, Dr. Dagan comes highly recommended.
Also, his office staff are very friendly. His office is very nice, clean and organized. And they are very prompt.

This is my 4^th visit to Dr Dagan. Great and honest Dr. Doesn’t try to sell you on more than you need.

I started seeing Dr. Dagan about a month ago and each of my appointments has been fantastic. His staff is always helpful on the phone when scheduling appointments and things move quickly and on time once I arrive.
At my most recent appointment Dr. Dagan was so wonderful about explaining each step of my treatment plan for my frequent sinus infections and nose pain. He answered every question I had, eased all my concerns and scheduled my surgery. I feel so confident in his treatment plan and I am so glad that I chose him as my ENT.

Visible and horrific scarring plus a slew of infections and problems after two procedures. Every doctor I’ve seen since this person is horrified and I’m left with lifelong issues and additional problems from him that everyone is scared to touch. Not to mention my nose is bigger now than ever. «Reduction» is defined differently at this practice. I would have respected him more if he simply said «I’m not capable of doing this, go see x, y or z.» Consult at your own risk.

Just leaving from my first post-​op appointment after Dr. Dagan corrected my septum and widened my sinus passages, and my breathing is completely changed! After suffering seven sinusitis attacks in the last year and a half and seeing other doctors who improperly diagnosed my condition, I can’t give Dr. Dagan enough stars!

Dr. Tal is excellent. He listens to your issue and consults you properly. He will not stop until it is 100% perfect. I’ve been using Dr. Tal for over a year from the biggest to the smallest issue and every visit I am thrilled. He is the absolute best!

I was referred to Dr. Dagan after my practitioners had trouble diagnosing a painful tonsil infection; when I got to Dr. Dagan’s office, I was helped with kindness from his wonderful office staff, and was able to see Dr. Dagan right away. He diagnosed the problem immediately and went straight into the procedure. He’s a genuine doctor who’s incredibly knowledgable. Have no doubts trusting him with any of your concerns.

After two visits to the ER for tonsillitis that was not healing due to incorrect physician care, I was finally referred to Dr. Dagan by my primary care doctor. The office got me in the same day and Dr. Dagan was amazing. He very quickly assessed what was going on and properly treated me. Within a day, I was feeling better. He was also very diligent about follow-​up care and though a weekend was coming up, told me that if I had any pain or recurrence to call him on the weekend and he would make time to see me. I also liked that he was teaching two young med students during my visits, which shows he cares about supporting the next generation of doctors. I highly recommend him!

Went in for an ENT visit and they were very prompt and thorough, the office is nice and Dr. Dagan’s credentials are very impressive. I’ll be going in for a followup visit as well, didn’t have any issues with the appointment or billing either. Easy to book and pre-​register paper work on ZocDoc. I waited for about 10 minutes but that’s a pretty good record compared to every other doctor visit I’ve had. Also filled the scrip I needed and referred me to a CT scan almost instantly, so that was cool. And gave me a coupon for the scrip.
UPDATE: I have since undergone a very successful sinus surgery and post-​op appointment with Dr. Dagan and my 5 stars still stand. The procedures went well and I’ve had no issues or complications since then, and I can breathe better than ever. Dr. Dagan seems like a great surgeon and if you want an idea of his great character or intelligence check out his well-​written replies to his (obviously undeserved) one-​star reviews.

Dr. Dagan is a Great doctor.
Unfortunately his billing department and receptionists have no desire to aspire to the level of customer service he provides.
I have contacted his billing department and front desk 4 times. Each time I call the billing department, I only have the option of leaving a voicemail. In each instance i have left a voicemail and my call has never been returned.
When I spoke with his receptionist, after giving up on the billing department, I explained my problem to her and she said she would take care of it. Alas, she did nothing.
The problem is I am continuously receiving an invoice for a bill that I have already paid. I provided the receptionist with the card number I used, the date it was paid, and a receipt number — all of which was apparently useless or too confusing to her. If the accounting/​billing department would get back to me, maybe this problem could be resolved, but it has been 4 months now and 4 calls, so I’m 100% sure Dr. Dagan’s team doesn’t give a single flying fuck about me.
Safe to say, I will not be returning for my 6 month follow up or any other appointment with this doctor

Fast, efficient and excellent care. Easy to schedule an appointment and once I arrived everything went smoothly. Very minimal wait. I highly recommend.

Had a very positive experience at this office. Arrived on time and was seen right after filling out my paperwork.. Dr. Dagan is very knowledgeable, kind and patient. He answered all of my questions in a slow and calm way. I did not feel rushed at any point. He explained everything about my condition and exactly why he was prescribing what he did. I would recommend Dr. Dagan to other patients looking for a good doctor.

I visited dr. dagan for a second opinion and he was very eager to help me to improve my condition. He was very nice and seems to be very knowledgeble in his field. I look forward to continuing treatment with Dr.Dagan. Great doctor, clean office and very helpful receptionists!

I visited Dr. Dagan for the second time yesterday. I called because I had a pretty painful ear infection: despite their already-​packed schedule the office staff managed to fit me in just a couple of hours after I called.
Going to Dr. Dagan is an absolutely top-​notch experience. It’s very clear from the second you meet him that he’s the master of his field. He’s very thorough and explains what’s going on throughout his examination. It’s also worth nothing that he manages to fully investigate an infected ear without causing ANY pain: this is pretty impressive given the amount of inflammation and swelling I had on arrival.
I’m surprised to see all the billing complaints also: the office staff there were very diligent in verifying my insurance details: they had it all worked out by the time I arrived.
I’d definitely recommend heading to Dr. Dagan for any ear problems you might have.

Great Dr, fixed my deviated septum.

The worst doctor office ever! I came for a check up and the front desk lady told me afterward that I won’t be billed for anything. And later they billed me for more than $ 300. The doctor performed a lot of unnecessary tests on me and didn’t notify me the cost. And when I called to resolve the bill, the assistant has a very bad attitude. Now I have to pay $ 300 for an ear cleaning!!!
Plus, I waited more than 30minutes for my appointment. I was left in a room for so long that I have to go out to find help myself!!!
DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR EVER!!!

I’ve never felt so taken advantage of by a doctor or his office.
I urge you readers, with as much compassion as I can possibly muster, to avoid him at all costs!!! I got billed $ 360 for unnecessary and predatory behaviors!!! Read the other reviews if mine is too long — I’m not the only one getting bamboozled.
CONTEXT:
In April 2013 (keep a note of that date), my left ear was bothering me because I felt a little pressure there and things sounded a bit muffled. I decided to ignore it for a couple days then decided to book a quick visit to Dr. Dagan. I filled out my paperwork and was seen by him roughly 15 minutes AFTER my appointment. He asked me a series of routine health questions. He then looked at my ear and suggested that I ‘hold my breath, puff my cheeks and blow hard while holding my breath”. Guess what. It worked! A sort of magic solution you learn in camp when your 12 years old. Like yawning to pop your ears. Very elementary stuff. I sheepishly confirmed that everything was okay. No problems here, its what happened afterwards.
PROBLEM 1:
As soon as I start to leave his office he says that I need to see the other doctor in the office and take a hearing test. I asked why? My hearing was fine and it was such a simple childish problem. He informed me that he needed to be sure. So I take the extra 10 minutes and did a bunch of elaborate, unnecessary tests. Completely utterly useless.
So he either 1) was making me do extra tests so that he could bill me more or 2) is an incompetent doctor that *really* believed I needed these tests. After so many years in practice, either one of these scenarios is despicable.
PROBLEM 2:
Almost an entire year passes without hearing from their office. I chalk it up to good karma. That the good doctor didn’t bill me for his old wives tale remedy. NOPE. Last Monday, I get a call from their office saying that my bill is way past overdue. What a surprise this was to me, I haven’t heard from them in AN ENTIRE YEAR.
I tell the receptionist I didnt know and that they had the wrong address on file. I tell her I was very surprised at my bill of $ 360 for procedures I didn’t ask for and for his whole 2 minutes with me. She says she understood and got my email/​address to resend it and that she would talk with the doctor about my experience. I was happy and said I would wait for her call before acting on anything.
Just one week passes, no word from their office. Much to my surprise, I get mail that says that I’ve been taken to collections and something about legal action. SURPRISE SURPRISE. I’m very worried at this point and call the receptionist, she first apologizes for not giving me a call back but when I bring up the collections bill, she changes her story and says she tried to call me but didn’t reach me so she decided to file it for collections.
Either way, I ended up paying it because I’m not going to hurt my credit. But to have no contact for a YEAR, then go from bill to collections in a week is just criminal. I spoke with the same woman throughout and she knew the situation and still nothing.
