Loved this. Great driver. Great spots. Places you didn’t even know existed are the places you will go. I took my sis out for her birthday and she loved it. So many different places in one night. If you can book the entire limo with your friends, then go for it.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but reading all the great reviews I decided to take a chance.
I had three friends from out of town and we joined the rooftop tour.
The ride was an amazing white chevy suburban stretched limo. Our cool tour guide/​bartender prepared for us unlimited local cocktails while riding the limo.
It was a lot of fun, alcohol, exclusive roof top views, can’t complain :)
Next time will try the mixology tour.

A wonderful service (Prohibition Tour) introducing wonderful historic saloons. Good for visitors & residents alike! Professional and congenial operator.

It was perfect for my Birthday. I bought it on Groupon $ 180 for 2 people and went with my husband. I was not sure if we would like it as there would be more 6 strangers with you in a Limo, but good we took a chance as we loved it. The host Ori was awesome and very friendly and all the other people were nice. I had fun, loved all the 3 clubs they took us as we would have never found it by our self. Overall it was Perfect.
Advise: when you order drinks in clubs make sure to let them know to bill you separately as they give you one huge bill for all together and it get confusing who order what and divide the money. Plus for bigger group clubs charge 20% gratuity.

This review is interesting to write… We had Broadway show tickets every other night that we were in NYC but wanted to break it up with something new. It’s an excellent concept but we did not have the best experience. And I think it has to be rare to have a bad experience because the reason we booked this was because of the great reviews.
It started out strange when we got to the meeting site 10 minutes early and Michael (the driver) told us that we were early and come back later. So we came back 2 minutes before it was supposed to start and he told us to go to another store (a makeup store which made my husband go «huh»?). Michael’s reasoning to come back later was due to the fact we were waiting on a couple that was late and he told us our tour guide was also late because she needed something to mix drinks with. Anyway, he finally let us in the limo after the tour was supposed to start and the other couple showed up at 9:15 (15 minutes late).
Honestly, our tour guide Miriam was very sweet and nice but offered no recommendations at one bar (and had to ask Michael where the bar was located). I think it’s because she was young (21) and didn’t have a ton of experience. I would have preferred someone in their mid 20’s or older since most people doing this are probably a little older. (I’m 29 and my husband is 33 — the other couple was in their 50s I would guess) but for what she was working with, she did as good as she could.
The WORST part about this tour was that at the second bar, Michael (the driver) met three friends «from his home country» and they just pretty much invaded the event even though Miriam had no idea who they were and they were not part of the tour. They got in to the limo after our second bar and just stared at us like we were a problem. Miriam could not even get to her seat to mix drinks for us and had to ask them to scoot over. One of them then passed out drunk in the others lap, yeah not classy. They kept demanding we turn the music up (and Michael kept yelling back for us to up it since they were his friends) even though Miriam was like… «We can’t talk if it’s that loud». The other couple that we met on the tour left after the second bar, Miriam then dropped us and the drunk people off at the third bar and left. I understand that we don’t get a ride home, but shouldn’t the tour guide not just drop you off after leading you through some dark alley in to a third bar? The drunk people left right after and we were just there by ourselves looking weird in a reserved section by the bouncer. I would not recommend to my friends just based on my experience.

My roommate’s mom gifted us with a Take Me Out tour and were grouped with 6 other hilarious women. Our guide, Peter was extremely friendly and made introductions so we felt like a big group of friends, rather than two parties.
Peter (let’s call him The Shepard going forward), mixed us quality drinks in the limo while en route between bar stops. As we pulled up to the second bar, already three drinks in, our lively gaggle of girls was now sufficiently liquored up as we headed into a romantic, dimly lit speakeasy. While we had a fantastic time, we’d left our indoor voices in the limo (along with our bags and coats for convenience), making such a low-​key spot probably a poor choice in terms of venue.
In between stops, The Shepard did a wonderful job of wrangling our large and increasingly silly group in between the limo and the various venue stops along the way. He managed to take photos when requested while managing to still pull us out of harm’s way when we stood in the bike lane against his warnings.
It was a great opportunity to check out different bars without having to deal with waiting in lines and navigating cabs or subways. With Peter mixing and even customizing drinks in the limo («no pineapple juice please, it tastes like college») it made it for a really fun, no-​hassle evening. For New Yorkers it’s a great alternative perspective to a typical night out and offers a great opportunity to wear your cutest, sky-​high, soul-​pinching heels without worrying about walking a lot in them. For tourists it’s a fully organized night-​out without having to do any research.

My hubby surprised me for a my pre-​birthday celebration on the mixology tour. We went the day before the 4^th of July and it was just us and one other couple which I loved because I felt like we had the whole limo to ourselves. I loved how the tour is included with 3 drinks. By the end of the tour you will basically be drunk or tipsy lol. We stopped at 3 different places. What I loved was that they were underground places, that me as a native New Yorker that was born and raised here, wouldn’t even think of coming to these places. The first place was a hidden gem called bathtub gin. The outside looks like a coffee shop but once you step in past the coffee shop there is another door thats leads to a bar. The place was really cool and I loved how they had a bathtub right in the middle of the bar. The second place we went to was called back room. It was a speak easy hidden and burried deep in the city. The drinks were served in teacups and coffee mugs and it had a 20’s style theme to it. It was a really relaxed and laid back place to go talk and have drinks. The last place was a lounge in the lower east side that played a variety of music from spanish, to hip hop and top 40. I loved this place and me and my hubby basically danced the night away here. Our host and limo driver were really nice. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants a nice night out with friends, family or significant other to ride around the city and see some pretty cool spots.

I booked this tour for a Wednesday night, we were visiting New York & some friends drove over from PA to see us. Figured it would be something to do on a weekday, no high expectations… BUT — WOW!!! What a great event! Our mixologist was superb! Ryan was a great guide, kept us entertained the whole way! I can not say enough good stuff about this trip! Good job Take Me out! I will definitely recommend over and over!!!

I wanted an alternative to celebrating my wife’s Birthday and Take Me Out’s Mixology tour was right on the money! Rather than the normal night out at a restaurant with family and friends, I opted for this great tour that surprised a native NewYorker like myself and my friends who all hailed from NYC at some point in their lives. By the end of the evening, we were at a bar dancing and gearing up for the remainder of what was left of our night out.
From the onset, we were greeted by our «host» for the evening, Peter, and we were whisked away to our first destination/​stop which was in the Murray Hill section of NYC. There were six of us in our group all with children at home so this was a true adult night out. We chose the 9pm-​12am tour. There was another couple that joined us but they were not part of our group. Suffice to say, Peter was able to match up the groups accordingly so that all had a good time. The age range was between 35 – 45 years of age but a young 45! The lounge was intimate and we were able to just sit back, relax, and have our first official drink in the first bar. After about an hour, we headed to our next destination and once in the limo, Peter served us our second drink on the tour; an Arnold Palmer type of drink but with more of a kick!
Once at the next destination, we had ordered some food and had shots compliments of the bar that we were at. One nice thing was that we didn’t feel pressured to buy drinks or food at the destinations. Of course, it would be courteous but it was not necessary considering that drinks were already included in our tour.
Our last stop was down in the lower East Side and was at the Hotel Rivington. Peter our host got us in without any delays and there we stayed and danced since there was a DJ and the music was pumpin’! There we parted ways with Peter and said our thanks to him. Keep in mind that the last destination is where the tour ends and you have to get back to your point of origin; the limo does not bring you back. Actually, this is a good thing since you may end up somewhere that you would normally venture to.
Overall, this was a great outing for both out-​of-​towners and native metro NYC area residents. If you are lucky enough to have Peter as a host, you will be immensely happy with your tour. Each tour has a max of eight so if you have a group of that size, you will have a great time! If you don’t have a group that size, it’s still a great experience since you will get to meet other guests and make new one’s along the way!

Good choice by my wife. The tour was pretty awesome. We went to hidden underground bars and had some amazing cocktails. We didn’t know too much about the ingredients at these bars but our guide was very informative and inquisitive about our likes and dislikes and got us drinks that we loved! The limo service is great, although I wish they dropped you off at the end of the tour. I’ve been a New Yorker for a long time and was very skeptical about this tour, but was proved wrong. Thank you Ori for setting it up!

This was probably the best thing for a date night, whether it be the first date or the millionth. My boyfriend and I had such a good time. We did the Prohibition Tour and it was amazing. Peter was great, the limo amazing, and the champagne wonderful. It totally hit the spot. We got to see bars in New York that most people don’t know exist. I like to think I know my way around the city but I would have never experienced any of these bars without the tour. It was so intimate and cozy and just an overall great experience. I will be back and with lots of friends.

Ori took us on quite the dapper adventure! I felt like I was living the 20s and loving every minute of it!!! From the metal julip cups to the risqué wallpaper at the first stop to the exclusivity and crowd at all the stops, I would go on this tour again and again-​thank you Ori for taking me out!

While I am a local, the tour provided access to speakeasys and clubs that I would A) not necessarily know about, and B) not neccesarily be able to get into. The tour provided me with both for a relatively inexpensive night in NYC. At both speakeasies we were granted table service and had a waiter at our table within 2 minutes of entering the locations. The tour guide gave us recommendations on drinks and was able to answer most of the questions I had. After the 2^nd speak easy we were wisked away in a waiting SUV to our final destination, a club in the Meatpacking District. Upon first arrival it seemed the only people to get in would be the men arriving in their Lambo’s, but fortunately our guide had set it up so there was next to no wait in line. This is especially useful being a male :) Overall I had a great time, it was an opportunity for a New Yorker to hang out with people from across the globe which doesn’t typically happen on an regular basis!
