Honestly, I don’t think words can do Haim and his company justice — this is by far the best business, rug cleaning and customer service you will EVER get. My rugs come back looking new (and they are oriental rugs!). The rugs looks so good in fact that the rest of my family is thinking of transporting their rugs to NYC to have them cleaned by Sunlight. You can truly see the difference and it lasts! Haim treats every customer like they are first priority and explains everything; you can really see his experience/​knowledge which is unlike any other. Honestly, this is one of the best rug companies — from cleaning, to experience, to customer service and everything else — out there. We could not find a specialty carpet cleaner in the Twin Cities. From the moment I called and spoke to the owner, Haim, I was impressed and knew this is the company I wanted to clean our 2 valuable rugs. Haim was careful from the outset. He noticed important facts by simply looking at the photos I sent him prior to sending him the rugs. And, he kept me apprised of his progress throughout the process (always timely). Ultimately, we received our rugs in great shape, and looking better than they have in years. I highly recommend this great rug cleaner.

I found Sunlight Fine Rug Care online and called them the next morning. Sunlight’s technician came the same day, he was on time, nice and professional and gave me a free estimate on site. The rug was picked up and delivered back to me after a ten days and looked brand new. I highly recommend using Sunlight Fine Rug Care cleaning services!

I highly recommend the services of Sunlight. I had canvassed around to have my shag carpet cleaned and decided to contract their services (last August) because they were the easiest to deal with, were professional from the onset, reasonably priced, and used pet and environmental-​friendly products. Haim showed me the condition of my shag carpet, explained why steaming alone will not do the job and what process they will do to clean it, which I appreciated because I like to know what I’m paying for and why. I’m happy to say that they did a good job cleaning my shag carpet and that they delivered it within a reasonable time. In addition, after my carpet was delivered, I messaged Haim weeks later to ask his advise on how to maintain my carpet, and he was kind enough to provide recommendations. Will definitely use their services again.

My dog got very sick on my really beautiful antique Persian rug (it was my grandmother’s). Haim came the same day, took the rug and did an amazing job. The rug has never looked this beautiful — the colors can be seen for the first time, it really sparkles. I totally recommend Sunlight Fine Rugcare.

I have a beautiful Turkish rug and it needed to be cleaned. I spoke with the owner, Haim and he gave me a quote that was reasonable, as well as some suggestions on how to better take care of the rug. He was very accommodating of my hectic schedule and personally delivered the carpet to me. It looked beautiful! It was hand washed and the color looked great. I would highly recommend using this company to clean and restore a carpet or furniture.

Haim is a good guy. He came, gave me a price, and took the area carpets to be cleaned. When he returned them they looked fantastic and honestly much better than I ever could have imagined.

Sunlight returned my four rugs after 10 days and they smelled fresh and looked brighter and more alive than when I bought them.
Haim originally told me 7 – 10 days but there were holidays in between and he told me one of the rugs had to be washed twice. I initially thought he was stalling but when the rugs returned they were so improved I believe him and I was glad he took the extra care even if it meant a slight delay.
I previously had my rugs cleaned twice. The first time they were cleaned was by a well known luxury store and so I trusted them. They returned one rug with ridges in it which indicated it went through some machine. It didn’t look or smell clean. The second time was only 7 months ago when I had my rugs cleaned and stored during a renovation with a cleaner whose name I will not give.
When the rugs were returned from storage with this other rug company they didn’t look clean. I paid a considerable amount of money for this storage and cleaning service. The new pads I also bought with this other company looked cheap but I thought I could live with it.
I called Sunlight because my dog got sick on my new overdyed rug that was expensive and brand new. I called Sunlight in a panic and they came right away to remove and give me an estimate. I asked the Sunlight rep to look at the other rugs that had been cleaned with this other company and he found mildew — they only looked like lines to me, but what did I know? — and said the pads they gave me were not any good either.
So I told the Sunlight rep to take the three rugs that had been stored and recently «cleaned» along with the new overdyed rug. After the rep left I had misgivings because of how much I had paid to have them cleaned only six months previously. I thought perhaps the Sunlight rep was just trying to amp up the the costs and that the cleaning was unnecessary. I e-​mailed Haim and he replied and answered all my concerns. I am sorry to say I wasn’t always polite because I was upset about how much I had paid this other rug cleaner. I badgered Haim about a variety of concerns but he was always polite and professional. Haim cares about his customers and wants to make them happy.
I have since learned that his rep was right about everything, incuding the pads. The ones the previous cleaner had sold me were inadequate. Go to an expensive store like ABC carpet and they sell the same pads as Haim but for considerable more money. And yes there was mildew from the previous storage as his rep said.
When Sunlight returned the rugs to me the lines and mildew were gone. The rugs smell fresh and clean and they feel terrific under my bare feet. I don’t remember them ever feeling so soft.
I believe Haim when he says some rugs are washed twice when necessary and that he examines them closely.
He seems like a one-​man band and runs every aspect of his business which is a different approach than dealing with a big company which is a plus to me. He takes responsibility for everything and that is very refreshing. Haim’s services are not cheap but getting your rugs cleaned by someone who doesn’t do a good job and doesn’t care is more expensive in the long run as I learned.
I fell in love with my rugs all over again and I will definitely call Haim again in 2 – 3 years when my carpets need cleaning again (or not sooner if the dog disbehaves).
By the way, Haim didn’t ask me to write this. I asked him twice about the link and where I should put my comments. This was several weeks ago and I have been very busy up to now but he has never followed up to ask about a review.
The bottom line: I love how my carpets look and feel under my bare feet. And the smell is terrific. The overdyed rug — and these rugs bleed colors so I have no idea how he cleaned this — looks good as new. You cannot see or smell a stain and I think this is the best recommendation I can give.

Haim, the amazing man who visited my new apartment, gave me a great deal since I had recently had some other work done. My neglected silk rug had become much darker and damaged than I should have allowed. When it came back, it was soft and stunning; the whites were white, and the colors were brilliant. Some discoloration from water damage had unexpectedly been removed, and he provided me with a new pad. The filthy Kilim I had purchased in an auction came back soft, bright and smell-​free. He said they had to wash it twice to get it clean and they didn’t charge anything extra. He also put a loop across the top so I could hang it on my living room wall with a strong curtain rod. I could have spent more money to restore both rugs perfectly, but I couldn’t really see anything else that needed fixing. I guess you have to have an expert’s eye and I would rather keep that kind of money in my pocket. Thank you Haim for fantastic service.

Haim is extremely knowledgable and professional. He came right away to pick up my rug, explained all the steps that would be involved in cleaning it (who knew ?) and why his process (hand wash, dry clean, PH balance and another step I forget) is more expensive than many places but necessary and worth it for a fine rug. They worked on it for several weeks and I just got it back … it’s like new!
