As a real estate professional that relies heavily on this site for traffic, it is extremely disappointing that they cannot keep up with the technology of their peers.
When an offer is accepted, it DOES NOT mean it has gone into contract. Yet this is how StreetEasy translates this message from the source site.
An accepted offer means just that — the offer has been accepted but the contract has not gone out — for whatever reason! Once in contract, that is a different story, based on the ethics of those involved!
So buyers be aware, you should check with the listing broker whether or not the property you are interested in, is actually in contract!

Found my current apartment on StreetEasy and was the best apt-​hunting experience I’ve ever had. The one before (2007), I lived in for 5-​years and StreetEasy didn’t really have rentals back then, and I don’t recall any other site out, so it was all Craig’s List… which is the worst thing in the world for apartments.
And now to have rentals on StreetEasy is amazing and I haven’t found anything else that even comes close to the number of listings and easy searching.
I’d use it again if my rent goes up too much (probably will).

I got my current apartment through this site and have used it for nearly every apartment search since I moved to NYC over a decade ago.

Best site in NYC to look for places to live.
Trying to find a place in New York is super stressful. StreetEasy makes that much easier by providing good alerts in apps and email for what’s available. iPhone app is really solid and makes it easy to watch for new places and contact the brokers.

The site is full of fake ads and it never updates, has to be bait and switch. Literally hasn’t updated in years.

Not sure where to express my discontent about the daily newsletters I constantly try to sign off from…

Site’s data is out of date and it seems like it’s just bot-​automated but not verified as there’s duplicates.

This Site does NOT update their information.
They leave up properties that have already been sold and it’s MISLEADING to the current buyers that are eager to find a property.

In my opinion, if I could give them zero or negative amount of stars, I would.

Your original site used to give your clients so much pleasure, in it’s ease to use, set up that you saw everything in one page, instead of being so diffused that you have constantly change pages to get what you want… going back and forth.
Would you please consider going back to the original site full time. I realize you have put up a link to the old site (I suspect because so many clients think the same way of this new site… frustrating). Temporary is better than nothing, however it feels like a bit of a tease. It is not that the new site is hard to get used to and we need more time, it is just not as effective in it’s layout.
