Let me start off by saying I had taken sprinter bus before and I had a pleasant ride from New York to Virginia beach in past trips how ever this time around the presenter was very very rude there is no organization what so ever. They suggest you by your tickets from their website but when I was trying to but my tickets online their website wasn’t loading it was down it crashed or something so I decide to buy my tickets on the
website. The present made it very clear that if we bought it from that website he didn’t care that you were two minutes late he would charge full price for a whole different ticket on a bus that had space not even the next bus which I thought was very ridiculous because it’s not like that website gives you any discounts they’re tickets are still 47 a pop. Anyway that’s besides the point. I bought my tickets with a friend and we bought them TOGTHER! thinking we were gonna sit together but because the sprinter staff aren’t organized and don’t give people assigned seats we had to sit very far from each other an by far I’m talking about she’s all the way in the front and I’m in the back. Now I don’t mind sitting in the back at all but they really should have assigned seats because when you’re traveling together with someone you should no matter what time you arrive be able to sit together if you purchased your tickets together. I use to rave about this company and recommend it to everyone. I loved how friendly and organized they were and how comfortable the ride was but I am very upset this time around horrible experience if I’m going to be paying 12 dollars extra per ticket for a ride and experience that’s the same or worst than the China bus I’d rather take the China bus because at least I know what to expect and it’s cheaper and they assign you seats. This is really unacceptable we aren’t getting free rides here we are paying for this service the least they could do is be nicer to us the customers and be organized and assign seats especially in the morning! After this experience I don’t think I will be getting on another sprinter bus again!

I can not believe how terrible this bus company is getting. I arrived 45min to my 11:59pm departure bus from NYC to VA Beach. I retrieved my boarding pass and waited in line with everyone else. 11:30pm, no bus… 11:45pm, no bus… 12am, no bus… 12:18am bus arrives. (Okay fine, I can be understanding towards traffic and things of that nature)
So as I’m waiting for the guy to collect passes IN NUMERICAL ORDER I hear him say «just get on. it’s late and I want to go home». So people who had just arrived, with seats 45 and higher were boarding BEFORE people who had been standing outside for over an hour. I am now pissed, because I am thirsty, tired, I have to urinate and there is no organization what so ever and this is the reason I stopped taking the China buses. Okay so after being skipped by a group of rude people, i try to had the guy my boarding pass and the bus driver walks over and says «hey, where’s the water?» and the host says…“i ain’t got time for that, let them get their own water“
I’m just annoyed at this point. I get on, go to use the rest room… No tissue, No towelettes no nada… Luckily I keep baby wipes in my purse. The driver pulls off without any announcement of scheduled stops or ETA to Va beach. BUT he does turn on an extremely loud motor coach educational video.
My departure and return trips this go round with this company were horrible and i cant be so sure that I’ll use this service again for me or my family members. At the rates they are charging now, I can drive to NY and leave ON TIME for that matter.

It seems the harsh criticism of thus company has changed its practices! I reluctantly took this bus once again months after my bad experiences simply because it’s competition were sold out and I have to tell you they have improved A LOT. Their bus is newer, cleaner, the bus driver will not allow uncivilized people to misbehave, all their buses have outlets and the wifi works most of the time, and they are rarely late. I’m glad they’ve changed for the better. Now I can say I recommend this company!

Previous trips on the sprinter bus would have gotten 4 even 5 stars but right now they are lucky to be getting 2! Booked a trip from NY TO VA on the sun 5 o’clock bus… WHY did we ALL board the bus then at 5 o’clock when we were suppose to b leaving, we’re told to get off the bus! Now it is 630 and we are still not on the bus or even know when it will be getting here! Ugghhhh!

Gets me from NYC to VA Beach in 6 hours. What more can I ask for? Yes, the buses aren’t the most comfortable and I will never use that bathroom or any bus bathroom, but they were prompt and on time. Therefore, I can’t complain :)

I have taken a lot of buses in my day. Some have been good, some have been horrible. None have cared as little about pretending they’re trying not to fall into the horrible category as sprinter bus. The website specifically advertised which buses had wifi and outlets; I chose my trip based on this, as I had work to do on my 7 hour bus ride. Once getting on the bus, I was informed there was neither. When I explained that was my reason for choosing the bus, I merely received a shrug in return. Once arriving an hour late at our second stop, we were informed that we would have to switch to a connecting shuttle to our destinations — this was never once mentioned on the website. I have uploaded a picture of this «shuttle.» Absolutely the most unabashedly unprofessional, non customer service-​oriented service in the world. Avoid at all costs.

Sprinterbus prefers a first come first serve seat lineup rather than the Chinese bus free for all. You check in to get your number in Virginia. In New York, you check in with the bouncer-​looking dispatch and he keeps approximate track of your order. Stand/​sit in line, not against the building.
I got to a NYC Tuesday 4:00 departure 50 minutes early and was maybe the 10^th on the bus not counting the seniors who get to get on first. The bus ride down took 7 hours 40 minutes. The return trip from Virginia took 7 hours. Another passenger said it took closer to 6 hours on the midnight trip. Even google (without traffic!) says 6 hours 58 minutes.
The bus stops at every railroad crossing — of which there are many in lower Delmarva.
The 15 minute break is at the Clara Barton turnpike stop — both directions.
The bus down had room for my backpack in the overhead compartment and electrical outlets every third seat. Look for this when you’re choosing yours.
The bus back had maybe 6″ depth max above so was useless. This bus had zero electrical outlets.
My complaint lies with the driver’s control of the thermostat. He was a pleasant enough man but turned off the air repeatedly despite our pleas. The bus was sold out-​full. I get cold very easily and was boiling hot. Beyond temperature, you need AIR circulation, people smell and the bus gets very stuffy.
Bring a blanket/​shirt to prevent rubbing up against scratchy seats and sweaty neighboring arms and legs.
I dream of the day our bus seats compensate for larger Americans — which are the majority now especially on this route. Why not charge $ 10 to reserve extra wide seats? Give them dignity and me 100% of the seat I paid for.
As for the no smoking, no drinking: the dude next to me was totally drinking rum out of a snapple container. But he was nice so no complaints.
Tip: take midnight bus. Quicker. Unlikely to be crowded.

Driver indicates thatched did not know how to get to the destination I paid for in Norfolk and I would have to call
someone to take me there. *Wtf*
Rap music blaring through the speakers. *huh?*
WiFi was not working. The is the 3^rd home I’ve taken this bus and it has not worked.
Dude taking tickets in NYC rude as hell, but then again you kinda expect that with low level business.
Would I refer them… i guess… but they prove to be false advertisers, nothing is what it is.
