Six Stars of New York

Booked 6 passenger stretch limo through hotel we were staying at. Upon our arrival at JFK, we walked to pick up area, but did not see my name on any drivers signs so we walked a bit farther and then doubled back to pick up area just in case we missed him/​her. Our driver was there and he said he had walked to baggage claim to look for us. Why, I have no idea because we were instructed to go to that location. Anyway, our driver was attentive, friendly, courteous and pointed out landmarks along the way. When we reached the hotel, he gave me the exact dollar amount that we were quoted, which was a relief. But when I handed him my cash payment, he asked if it was $ 200, to which I said No, it’s $ 195 (which was still over the price) and he said Oh that’s fine. I was puzzled why he expected more than the already included 25% gratuity. He made it seem like I was stiffing him on a tip. This left a sour taste in my mouth at the beginning of the trip.

TERRIFYING. Midtown Hilton arranged this car to JFK «94. including gratuity.» Car clean, lovely driver, arrived early. Fine until crossed bridge into Brooklyn when, as soon as stopped at a red light, car shook and stalled. Driver started it at least 5 times but it instantly stalled, then didn’t start at all. Honking, tires screeching behind us… terrifying. Finally, on a green light, it started again long enough to pull over. Driver had called Six Stars and I could here them sounding very irritated with him for having a problem. Very fortunately, there was an empty cab at a gas station so I jumped out and ran. I do not believe this was a car in good shape having it’s first problem. Companies save money by putting cars on the road until they fall apart, which I think was the case here.

I had a limo reserved this past weekend for my girlfriend and a few friends for her birthday. The pick up was fine and we got to our destination no problem. The problem occurred later on in the night when we were all out and I go to use my card and its declined due to insufficient funds because 6stars not only charged me the price for limo but also an additional $ 400 by mistake. Not only embarrassing myself in front of everyone but also cutting the night short and ruining my weekend off. I work for a hotel in NYC and this is actually our «Preferred» Car service. Not only are pick ups cancelled last minute and delayed on a regular basis, but their cars seem old and dirty and drivers (not all) are unprofessional and sometimes even rush my guests when early. I can tell you now because of this, because my weekend was ruined and I was not offered any such compensation other than returning money that shouldnt have been touched in 1^st place, I will be damn well sure NEVER to use this company again for myself or guests. How can I recommend a company that does this? I will also make sure to pass this on to EVERY person who stays at my hotel.

When I originally scheduled this service, my hotel was recommending them. I wish I would have known that my hotel stopped using them. Car was on time to airport, was dirty, and driver was quite unfriendly. I had to put my own bags in the trunk, for $ 175 one way, you would expect better service.
Return trip was cancelled. The car was late by at least 20 minutes. Had the doorman grab me an SUV he knew for less than half if what 6 stars was going to charge me.
Wouldn’t use again.

Spoke with Milaves yesterday to get 5 clients + 6 pcs luggage from Manhattan to LGA, after one of the worst snow storms NY has seen. She’s was so nice! Very polite and upbeat. I asked my clients how they thought pick-​up, drive, and drop-​off was, and to quote the two I asked «They were very good. I would use them again» and «Very good.» That’s all you can ask for! Thank you Six Stars for be reliable and friendly.

I don’t know what these other reviews are talking about?!
I woke up THIS morning with a text from my flight saying it was canceled and I needed to call ASAP to rebook it. As I rebooked, I realized I had 15mins to pack EVERYTHING up and run out the door for my now 3hours sooner flight. I was panicked to say the least! Needing to get from manhatten to EWR in 45mins. I was desperate and rather not take a taxi that was complete crap for over $ 100 like I had prior. I got this guys card outside my hotel last night and I thought I’d see what could be done.
The gal on the phone was so kind, and told me she had dispatched a car on the spot that would arrive in 30mins on the dot. I quick packed everything, and ran down to the lobby. The car was EARLY, professional, it was a sick Lexus and my driver (Enxo, #289) offered me water and gum on he spot! (Yes I must’ve looked hungover, I’m ok with that) we made it to the airport in record time, and I was even able to upgrade to the next flight out (which is allowing me to get home at 7pm now, not 10:45pm)

Disgusting, cars are old, they use a bait and switch tactic and never send the car that was agreed upon and if you get the car u ordered is just awful. Do not use save your money and take a taxi, at least they smell better

I sat and watched our Marriott Marquis concierge arranged a 10 passenger limo for our party of 9. Our party was 5 adults and 4 kids. The concierge went over the details with Six stars limo twice while I stood in front of him. Our concierge was very specific with all details. Needless to say, Six Stars were not on time, making us late for our show. Also, the limo sent was VERY tight for the 9 of us. My 74 year old father had to sit up front with the driver. I was suspicious and my husband later informed me that he noticed the passenger door of the limo actually had a plaque on it that stated it was «an 8 pass anger limo».
We were charged for the 10 passenger. The driver lied and was rude. He snapped at my 12 year old who inquired about the tv set, which did not work. The reps who handle calls lied and said that we only requested an 8 passenger— I watched our hotel concierge review all the details 2 days in advance.
We went from Times Square to Brooklyn packed in like sardines.
This company scammed us, lied to us, we’re rude to us and made us miss half our show (we were 30 minutes late and the theatre would not seat us until intermission).
No apology but plenty of attitude. Lesson learned.
