Sandless Finish

I initially reached out to several flooring companies that I had found on Unilocal.Sandless Finish was one of 6 companies that I reached out to & Adam, the owner, was one of 3 companies that actually came to the apartment to do an estimate.
Adam & his crew refinished the floors in a foreclosed 1 bedroom that I recently purchased. While the floors were in decent condition, they had been poorly finished previously when the selling bank had tried to ‘spruce up’ the apartment so that it would sell. The finish they had put on the floors was dull & streaked. There were also 2 spots where they had spilled extra varnish on the floor.
When Adam came out to look at the floors & give me an estimate, he took the time to point these areas out & how he would correct the problems. He was through & specific in explaining the process that they use to refinish.
While his quote was not the least expensive (his was the second cheapest for roughly 550 sq ft) I decided to go with him because he took the time to talk me through everything. He was able to fit me in 3 days before I had wanted to have them done! (I wanted them done on a Monday & he was able to give me a slot on Friday.)
On the day that they finished the floors, Adam & his crew arrived 15 minutes early to the appointment (unheard of with most businesses). I had to leave them in the apartment as I had to work. They locked up & left the key right on the kitchen counter for me to find.
I couldn’t be happier with my floors and with Adam’s all around professionalism. My floors now glow with a great finish at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend his services.

I highly recommend Adam at Sandless Finish. He’s honest and very communicative. After quite a few estimates, Adam’s quote was neither the highest or the lowest, but I felt he would deliver the best results.
My floors were not in the best of condition prior, lots of scratches and marks and an ugly finish. We brought the floors back to their original color. The result is light, airy, and it opened up my tiny studio tenfold. All the various scratches and other marks are totally gone. The floor is stunning and I’m thrilled with the decision to go with Sandless Finish.

Adam did a beautiful job. I could not be happier about how the floors look. We live in an 89 year old house that had never had the floors re-​done. They had character… sort of. I was not totally convinced that new floors would really change the place for the better but I was completely wrong — the place looks amazing and fresh and clean. I love it — he really brought out the beauty of the wood.
Adam worked fast and did everything just as he said he would. Considering that he refinished our entire downstairs level, it was relatively painless and remarkably clean. If I can ever get it together to do upstairs, I will definitely call Adam. Highly recommend!

The wood floors in the co-​op my wife and I bought were in pretty rough shape, but Adam and Sandless Finish did a stellar job with them and the results were beyond impressive. First he talked us through everything, gave a very fair cost estimate after assessing the floors in-​person, and even emailed pictures of the different types of work we could have done to inform our decision. Adam also worked well with the stringent rules and requirements of our new co-​op office and made sure all the paperwork, insurance, etc. was in order. Most importantly the finished product was incredible. After he completed the work it was like walking into a new co-​op as the results were stunning. We can’t recommend Sandless Finish enough. If you need work done to your wood floors, you will be in excellent and professional hands with Adam and his crew.

Sadness Finish did a great job on my very old and not so pretty hard wood floors. They refinished as well as filled in some gaps. They were very clean, no dust when I came home each day, like no one was there — except for seeing great progress on my floors. They are very flexible with scheduling and are true professionals. It looks like I got brand new floors! Don’t hesitate, you’ll get amazing results!

Adam and his crew are absolutely incredible. Use them! My floors went from sad and patchy to glorious thanks to them.
I bought a new apartment and the builders did a terrible job on the floors – staining uneven, polyurethane only applied in two coats and not dried properly /​streaky. The floors looked scratched and dirty, and they were brand new. Adam and his guys screened my floors, scraped down the uneven stain spots, and colored in all 20+ crap-​looking wood putty spots by hand. Then they put two more coats of poly down and now my floors look AMAZING. I am so excited to move in now.
They arrived on time, completed the job in a single day, and were very reasonably priced. Adam talked me through all the different options and how long and how much each would be. I felt like I could make an informed decision on how to proceed, without being pressured into spending more. Adam is a consummate professional and a pleasure to work with.
I am definitely using Sandless Finish again the next time I need floor work! They are truly wonderful. Thank you Adam for my beautiful new home.

I was dubious about going the sandless route, but after meeting with Adam and hearing about the process, I decided to have them refinish and revitalize my pre-​war floors. Although the floors had been sanded over the years, due to animal damage and a bad couch leg which gouged the floor and a sloppy job of removing a refrigerator, there were definitely some very bad areas. Add to that the fact that it had been about 12 years since they were last refinished and they were dirty and drying out. Sandless FInish arrived on time, worked quietly and efficiently, carefully moved all of the furniture aside, and even worked around my schedule with 2 dogs. I cannot believe how great the floors look; even the damaged areas are finally fixed. All of this without the agony and mess of doing sanding. I highly recommend this process. I think the only thing this process cannot do is change the color of your floors, but I’ll leave that to the experts. Sandless Finish surpassed my expectations.

Our apt floor is over 10 years old and looked lifeless. My husband found Sandless Finish online and we decided to give it a try.
Adam came to our apt to give a free estimate about the cost. He was very professional and nice. Since he was a bit late for the appointment as he made a mistake about the meeting time, he apologized immediately and voluntarily offered a discount. After the estimate, Adam sent us a quote and took initiative to reach out to our building management and cleared all the insurance requirements.
One day before the work, Adam emailed us and confirmed the time. On the work day, the team of three did a great job to make my floor look way better and shiner. Adam came back the second day after the work to make sure everything is okay and the floor is what he wants to be. He also brought us a new cleaning sweep and let us know how to better clean the floor in the future.
Overall, we are very pleased with Sandless Finish. Highly recommend.

I’m going to echo all the five-​star reviews! I wish I could think of something negative to say so that Unilocal won’t think my rave is unauthentic and not endorse it. Sandless Finish is excellent! My floors look great. The grain is now prominent and makes the colors in my artwork and furniture sparkle. Adam and Paul are highly skilled, pleasant, neat, reliable, professional and their fees are not bad. Okay, here’s a negative: Now that my floors look so nice, I can see how drab my walls are!

I could not more highly recommend Adam Varano and his team at Sand-​Less Finish. They did an incredible job for me refinishing hardwood floors in my Manhattan apartment. Sand-​Less offered a reasonable quote, were extremely easy to communicate with over email– pleasant and polite in my home and did EXCELLENT work. Sand-​Less is now my go-​to flooring company for refinishing hardwood floors. I am a real estate professional and work with contractors all the time and am very pleased to have discovered this terrific resource. My experience with Sandless Finish was incredibly positive in all regards from start to end. I contacted a number of companies for estimates to refinish my hardwood floors (parquet) in a large one bedroom apartment. Adam from Sandless Finish came to my apartment to give an estimate and was incredibly helpful. He answered all of my questions and distinguished himself as a true craftsman. His knowledge and level of engagement stood out among the competition.
I went with Sandless Finish for the job and am thrilled that I did. In my case, the hardwood floors needed to be completely refinished (including sanding) since they had a number of different treatments (polyurethane, wax, etc) over the years. Not only is the quality of Sandless Finish’s work impeccable, but the entire experience was actually a pleasure. The job started and finished on time, Adam and his brother, who work together, were both friendly and accommodating throughout the entire process, and every single exchange I had with them by phone and email was pleasant and professional. I couldn’t be happier with how great my hardwood floors look now, too. These guys pay attention to details, take extra time to make sure the floor is properly sanded if necessary (as was the case with my floor), and then proceed with sealer and polyurethane coats to finish the floor.
Sandless Finish gets my highest review. They are true craftsmen, who live up to their promise of great service and workmanship and who are really nice guys, too. I’ll definitely use them again and am confident recommending them after doing my research and seeing their great results firsthand.

These guys rock. The job they did was unbelievable. Where do I begin? They came the same day to give an estimate. They started one week later. They put in a 12 hour day the first day. no runaround, no cancellation, no postponeent. They were $ 1,000 cheaper than the estimate i had for sanding and solvent-​poly, but the best part was, with sandless, there is ZERO DUST and no cleanup. I had just painted but they were so careful — not a speck on the walls. I have old parquet — 100 year old building — it was literally black. no scrubbing could clean it. Their powerwash restored everything. My hsuband said — what is that design of black dots in the floor now — i said that is the nails that you couldnt see before becaus the floor was the same color as the nails. Also the water based poly only smells for about an hour and not so bad that you have to leave the house. Highly recommend. In 25 years of dealing with contractors, i have never encountered such professional, dedicated, detail-​oriented, guys.
