Wow wow wow, literally the best brow threading I’ve ever had. Excellent shaping and a cheap price especially in the UES. I was a little sketched out that it’s INSIDE the subway station but I will be back for sure. Nice girls too!

Just got eyebrow threading done, only needed clean-​up and it was done well.
If you are coming out of the 6 train going Uptown, take NE stairs and the place will be on your left before getting out of the Subway.
If you are coming from the street level, take the Subway entrance on 86^th and Lex. Ave., next to Fox’s store, go down the stairs and the place is in your immediate right.
No appointment necessary just walk in!!!

They’re nice and speak English and there’s no wait but they’re definitely not eyebrow «shapers.» Knowing how to thread doesn’t make you an eyebrow shaper. They thread you and you’re done. They don’t give you a shape. I said leave them thick and they made them thin and like a freaking line… Have you heard of the sparse hairs??? Those are part of the shape! We are not in the 90’s when stick thin pointy eyebrows are in. THICK natural eyebrows are in. Honestly, Unilocal is useless in New York. All these places here with good reviews are like 2 – 3 star level in Los Angeles. I am so pissed. Now I have one stick thin eyebrow which of course I spoke up about and one furry one. Smh wtf! No tip. They’re lucky I paid. I can’t take a decent picture of them otherwise I would’ve posted it. BS I am pissed.

A year ago, I Unilocaled this place and never managed to find it. It was much like Diagon Alley in Harry Potter: elusive, magical and yet always present. Even as I write this review, I am a bit reluctant to reveal the secret to finding this place in the case any pesky Muggles find it and leave us all a longer wait for the magic. But I think hiding this place would be a disservice to humanity because this is literally the best eyebrow threading service I’ve ever been to — and it is located inside a train station.
Yes, you heard that correctly. Right next to Fox’s you’ll find that hidden staircase to the uptown 6 that leads you to this little place. Your GPS alone will not be able to detect it. I’ve been to a few threading salons, many of them that do the job well. Yet I’ve never encountered as much talent as I did here. The woman who threaded my eyebrows is precise, intuitive and incredibly gifted. I came back specifically on the day she was there again just to get the same type of threading experience. Usually little hairs always start to grow back very quickly even after a kick ass threading — but never after I’ve left here.
These women really know how to shape your eyebrows to make you look your very best and you will spend the next few weeks feeling absolutely irresistable! It’s quick, relatively painless and an absolutely magical experience. All for a stunning price of $ 7. Make sure you find your way here any time you need an emergency threading or even threading for a big event. You’ll get excellent quality at a highly reasonable price — especially for the upper east side.

They did a very good job for an affordable price! I loved the shape of my eyebrows after and the threading was relatively pain free. The place is a bit crammed but I do not think that is an important factor.

This is the best place by far… Been going here for over a year every 2 – 3 weeks and they never fail me!

AMAZING. I was so nervous to get my eyebrows done– I am very particular about them. Unfortunately I am also very bad at doing them myself. I came here with terrible eyebrows and the wonderful lady fixed them!!! I have gotten so many compliments and intend to come here as long as I live in New York. I am SO thrilled. Thank you!

Walk down the first set of stairs into the subway and it’s right on your right. Two threading chairs and a little room with a bed for waxing.
$ 7 for eyebrows not a bad deal. No wait so I sat right down. I expected her to put baby powder on my eyebrows but she just did them au naturale. It was quick and painless. I came in with my eyebrows very uneven and I was expecting her to clean them up and make them even and I had to mention this to her she didn’t notice at first. Eyebrows came out great and the lotion at the end was nice, but you need to ask her for it she didn’t put it automatically.

Horrible! Bought a coupon for this business, showed up at 11am and it was closed. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate.

I came in today for my first visit. Saw the Unilocal reviews and decided to go because I was in the area. I got my eyebrows threaded and they came out perfect, the lady who did them is the best. Then I got my underarms, bikini line and full legs waxed and it wasn’t the same. The young lady who did them left burn on my right underarm and in sporadic places on my legs. After the treatment she apologized and gave me some baby oil to wipe on my body. It wasn’t enough as my burns began to hurt and burn my skin. I came home and washed my body and the pain was unbearable. My right underarm is completely burned. The lady was nice and did more than expected. She gave me a free stomach waxing and didn’t charge extra. I have to give this place 3 stars because the service was good, the results were bad.

Hard to find because it’s actually IN the uptown 86^th street subway station. However, despite the place’s appearance, they actually did a good job cleaning up my brows! The space is cramped and not much to look at (a little sketchy to be frank) BUT they work quickly and get the job done. I’ve gone twice and both times several people have commented on how amazing my eyebrows look. Definitely worth braving the sketchiness and the price can’t be beat.

I thought they were great and conveniently located until they threaded off half my right eyebrow, in spite of the fact I said that I did not want my eyebrows thinned and just wanted them cleaned up.

My go-​to place whenever I come back from work because it’s on the way home. The girls are friendly and very accommodating. They’re also thorough and follow instructions well. Although small, they have everything from threading, to waxing, facials to even eyelash extensions. The price is definitely cheaper than your usual Manhattan salon. I highly recommend them. Don’t forget to stamp your loyalty card for a free service.

I’ve been trying diff threading salons for about 6 months now and this is the first location I’ve decided to review. This place is inside the 6 train station on 86^th st. It is super tiny and it does seem sketchy but fair to say, for $ 7 and a job well done I don’t mind the location. The appearance of the place inside seemed well-​kept. They are open mon-​fri from 10 – 8 and sat from 10 – 7 and they also do waxing.
As soon as I took my seat, the first thing she said was your eyebrows are uneven and one is lighter than the other. They sure are!!! No other threading specialist pointing this out or took it into consideration when threading. She was blunt and helped me create the shape I wanted. Honesty is the best policy. Now, filling in my eyebrows everyday is just so much simpler! I will say don’t confuse her honesty for rudeness bc they are extremely friendly and helpful! Will definitely be returning.

Can’t beat a $ 7 deal. Tiny place but the lady did my eye brows beautifully. It was quick and she offered lotion with a little temple massage at the end

First off– it should be noted that this place is located IN the subway.
This is probably THE BEST threading salon I have ever been to. Service was prompt, efficient, meticulous and inexpensive. I will gladly walk out of my way to come here again.

Went there during my break at work. FREAKING AMAZING! I hate threading, but let’s be real: it does give you a cleaner look than waxing, waxing pulls on your skin, which is bad and makes you age faster, and if you’re on acne meds like I am, waxing is a no-​go. So threading it is. I must say, I’m getting used to it. The girls at Sanah are eyebrow fairies and will transform them in minutes. Will be back again!

This was my first threading experience so I can’t really compare to other places. Sanah is downstairs by the Downtown exit on Lexington. When I walked in, they were friendly enough, then they started on my brows! Threading is… a little uncomfortable at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly, and the whole thing was so fast! She put lotion on my brows and asked what I thought. After closing my eyes for so long and wincing at the new experience, I was still blinking at the light and assumed my brows were fine.
Looking back, I wish I had taken the time to look at them more closely. The bottom part was definitely all cleared away, but I wish the top had been done. They’re not as shapely as I would have liked, but for $ 7 (+ $ 1 tip) and a 5 mins session, it’s not too bad.

The woman I had was no at all gentle. Worst threading experience I have had ever, it was so extremely painful. I have gotten my eyebrows threaded for years and it has never been this painful I think he technique is improper. To top it off when I shared my preferred style she said «No too thin»…umm last time I checked these were my eyebrows and I’m paying you to do them the way I like.
Not to mention the place is tiny, hot as hell and in the 4,5,6 train subway… yuck!
My eye brows are still swollen by the way.

I stopped by Sanah Threading this week for a quick brow cleanup. It is tiny! Claustrophobes beware.
Sonam did my brows… It hurt more than usual and she did not offer aloe or a temple massage. But I will be back. Objectively, my brows look good and the location is enormously convenient for me. And $ 7 is a steal for brows in the city!
