Rosetta Wines

This is a great wine shop in the Financial District. They have an impressive selection. The staff is always extremely helpful and recommends superb wines at whatever price point you are looking for. They also have a discount card for regulars which is nice. I love that they have wine tastings of smaller brands so you get to sample wines that you normally wouldn’t know about. Finally, they’re open late most nights (which is great when you need a bottle last minute). This shop has become my neighborhood spot — definitely recommend to those living nearby to stop in, get to know the staff, and pick up a few bottles!

Nice selection of wines marked up a tad more more than I’m used to seeing. Would love to stop by for their wine tastings one afternoon. Looks like a great place for locals to meet up.

I’ve always liked this place because it is close by and they are super helpful when you are trying to find a wine that suits your taste. I love it because they don’t just suggest expensive wines they actually suggest the one that they think you will like. Now I love this place even more because they are super dog friendly, they even gave Chewy a treat when I brought her in today… look how happy she is!

Rosetta Wines has everything you need in the category of wine. I have been able to come here and find specifically what I’ve been looking for. My only complaint is they need a bigger refrigerator for more cold options! But their red selection is official!

First of all let me start off by saying these guys are not expensive and by no means claim to decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics! With that said they are your local neighborhood wine store that offers great selection, great hours & a friendly staff. My husband and I are regulars and they always know what we want and if they are out of stock are knowledgeable enough to offer suggestions based on our order history. Oh and did I mention… they deliver!!! Because of their great hours you can extend that dinner with friends to a mini after party at your place! Unexpected dropped by with no immediate timeframe to leave… go ahead and order that special Gin that they like to drink. What can I say I love this place.

I ordered a few bottles online via their website. I received a quick email confirmation (16 days ago). I called yesterday and the person had no idea why my order had not shipped but that someone would get back to me yesterday or today. I called again since today is almost over and the person who answered did have two reasons why my order didn’t ship (NEITHER reason was communicated to me at all): 1. Shipping address different from billing address. Hardly uncommon but, sure, if they called or emailed me (I checked my spam and no email there either), I would have done whatever anti-​fraud measure they wanted, and 2. They didn’t have two of the four bottles I ordered. I don’t like when a retailer doesn’t keep their online inventory up-​to-​date. But, I realize these things happen. The one star review is almost entirely about their awful (or really non-​existent) communication. I had to call twice, more than two weeks after my order, to find out what was really going on. Of course, I canceled my order and will never order from them again.

The Rosetta Stone helped mankind decipher Egyptian hieroglyphics.
The staff at Rosetta Wines won’t help you decipher a French wine label.
These are unhelpful people.
And the prices are very high even for the Financial District.
I guess they survive because of convenience and the Wall Streeters who don’t care about price.
Don’t go here.
Instead go to Downtown Cellars at Liberty/​Nassau, La Petite Cave at Maiden/​Gold or California Wine Merchants on Bridge between Whitehall/​Broadway.
The people at these stores are much nicer, much more helpful and knowledgeable, and you don’t feel like you’re being taken to the cleaners.

Great hours, opened at 8:30 AM!
I have been in here multiple times, they do not always have in stock what I wanted, however, I have never been disappointed with their referrals and got what I needed and in the process discovered some great new ways to get that warm fuzzy feeling.
Prices are comparable to other stores in Manhattan, certainly not overpriced, it is down-​town and very close to NYSE and my office. Everything is higher priced down here.
I will be back I am certain many times!

Very helpful– this is my go to wine store! One of the best gems in the financial district. Large selection and by far the most knowledgable staff out of any of the liquor stores in the neighborhood

They don’t honor their Unilocal discounts. Came in today to buy a specific champagne for a friend’s birthday. Price was about $ 100, higher here than many other liquor stores. Same bottle was roughly $ 75 at Astor Wines and Spirits. Thought with the Unilocal discount, it would make purchasing the wine here easier, since it’s nice to patronize local merchants. I checked in at Unilocal and showed the man at the register the Unilocal coupon. He said sorry, they can’t honor the coupon for the specific bottle… which is marked up way HIGHER than their competitor’s.
More caveat emptor: policy is no returns, to credit, no exchanges.
Not a consumer friendly store.

They have wine tasting at certain times, check it out!

This wine store is nice but its super expensive compared to all others, they have 1 section of refrigerated wine and they did not even carry Pinot Grigio that was cooled and under $ 20! They over charge for their wine but everything else is pretty cool, all wine and liquor stores are the same so I can’t really give a review on anything other than how the price was not comparable to its competition.
Tip: Check in here on Unilocal and receive a $ 1 off coupon, I see why they do it now though, they mark everything up!

What a life saver! Right around the corner and stays open relatively late considering this neighborhood doesn’t have many stores that stay open past 7 or 8.
It’s small but I guess once you find a couple wines you like does it really matter if all you’re trying to do is relax with your cats, Netflix, and popcorn? Yeah no.
The staff is really sweet… everyone I met was really nice and helpful. I just wish it were bigger and open until 10 but other than that this is my second home.

Rosetta is the closest thing to my apartment which is great but I sometimes would rather make a farther trek out just for more selection of liquors. When hosting a party and have a desire to get the good stuff, I can imagine that this is the place that I’ll go.

I’ve been here many times during the day when I’m rushed. Last night I had time to browse and chat with the poeple at Rosetta. They know their stuff and they are ultra-​friendly. I got to taste some spirits which has a tendency to make me come back. Tasted Colorado Bourbon and then a Ginger liquor. The ginger liquor was made in Brooklyn by Barrow. Goes beautifully with bourbon! The selection of bourbons and whiskeys are fantastic. I try to come here as often as I can and I always leave satisified. One of the best in FIDI.

Love this store! Not only do they have an amazing selection of wines and other liquor, they have the coolest staff!!! The boys inside are knowledgable, fun, and provide excellent service. If you live in the neighborhood, they deliver! But this place isn’t only for Fidi locals but a definite go-​to!

I don’t know how to pick out wine, so I always ask for recommendations. Staff is super friendly. I was greeted right away and offered a tasting. Quick on their feet and seems to know where everything is exactly placed.
Unilocal offers a check-​in special of 10% off. Even sweeter was that they gave me 15% if I wrote a review. Yep, I would go back.

What a terrific shop! Great wines, friendly service, solid recommendations. I am already planning to become a regular customer here. You can take the time to peruse the wide selection, or just ask for a suggestion. There’s no attitude or pretentious commentary, no crazy upselling. Just genuinely nice people who know their wines and will point you in the right direction.
