I was on a walking group to Roosevelt Island ending in Long Island City. We walked around Roosevelt Island and then crossed the bridge to LIC. The bridge itself was beautiful with great architecture. The views were breathtaking and scenic. There was a huge power plant on one side of the bridge. There were a few cars going across the bridge but the traffic wasn’t nothing like our other bridges in the City. The walking path of the bridge was shared with bicyclists. This isn’t a bridge I would walk across on my own or at night because it was pretty desolate. However, it’s a beauty to check out if you’re in the area.

We did it. We DID it. For too long in order to get over to Rosie Baby Girl you had dip your feet into the drink. It took swimmers, real pros, to pay the good people of this strange ‘hood a visit. If you’re seeing someone on this Island, never, I repeat NEVER call ahead. They get spooked too easily. It worries them. So pop in. Paranoid folks for good reason. The Queensboro lords above their home, taunting them from the clouds. So you wanted to see the pimps, whores or mental patients cruising around the Island. Good. Great. Do it by boat. That was the only way. Outsiders were not welcome. If something goes down these people will be just fine. They got a helluva view of the Ciudad. While they have an utter lack of self-awareness, it serves them well on this thin dirt strip. At least now regular guys can drive over at a moment’s notice via the bridge. They need new blood. Time to procreate with the natives. Just an idea. Did I mention it’s burgundy? That is HUGE.
