I have had several prints framed here and I have had nothing short of exceptional service. The family running the store have spent well over an hour with me each time I pick out my framing and matting because they want me to make sure I get exactly what I want. Friends and family who visit my place really enjoy my artwork, and that, to me, is really gratifying. I would go to no other place than ROOQ to have my artwork taken care of for those reasons, in addition to them being quick.
Also, if you’re not sure what you want exactly, they are happy to give you ideas and options to make the piece rally special. They have helped guide me through the process while trying to not blow my budget.

Happy to have found a frame shop that fits me. I like their attitudes, their variety of options, and the way they tell you all of the options and recommendations but don’t put on the hard sell to get you to spend more.
My next framing job will definitely be done here. The work they did turned out perfect, and I tried something new that I wouldn’t have known would work.
And the prices seemed pretty reasonable for framing, which is always a bit costly.

They are truly artists. We’ve had vintage posters framed here, and a centuries old manuscript. They handled them with tremendous care, and came up with great ideas of how to present them the best. A little expensive, but worth it.

It is rare that I actually take the time to go write a review and when I do it is either because my experience was REALLY BAD or REALLY GOOD. Obviously, the 5 stars tells you why I am writing today.
If you have something you care about, don’t skimp out, take it to a professional craftsman. I had a photo of my grandfather with his father doing jewelry work back from circa 1940 along with three silver spoons with ornate design he made. I shopped around and took my work to a few shops and felt most comfortable with the family team at ROOQ, here is why:
–I got the feeling from most of the places I took it to that they could technically do the job but didn’t have the extra added edge of design ability
–the «sisters» took worked with me for an hour looking at various options and helped guide me through the creative process
–Jawed, the master craftsmen, weighed in with some very insightful suggestions that made me believe he was also fully vested in this project and had that expert eye
If you look at their work in the shop you will see how detailed they are, the details are what make a piece go from good to great.

Just excellent, top to bottom. If you’ve got valuable, sentimental, or even odd item matting or framing on your list of things to do that you keep putting off, pack up your prints and run don’t walk to ROOQ on E 4^th Street. Jawed took the time to really discover what I wanted, and in some cases took extra time to help ME discover what I wanted. The finished products are stunning. He has you covered every step of the way, and while it isn’t cheap you will absolutely get every penny’s worth. One of the best customer service establishments I’ve encountered in New York City in the last decade +.

Long overdue review for great service. My landlord was doing some work on the outside of the building and the reverberations made a photograph, one I’ve owned since high school, fall off the wall shattering the glass. The staff at ROOQ replaced it at an extremely reasonable rate while I waited. I now need a larger picture framed and I intend to return as I trust the friendly and honest staff.

I had a few vintage poster prints that needed framing and I looked up Unilocal for different places to go. Rooq had received great reviews all around, so I decided to see what all the hype was. I could not be more satisfied with my experience. Jawed and his team were great. I had NO experience with framing, but knew what I liked and didn’t like. I trusted Jawed, who laid out various options, walked me through their pricing schemes, and provided smart, honest and unobtrusive advice. Framing can get expensive depending on what you get, but Jawed worked within my budget.
I cannot say enough how much I LOVE my new framed artwork! This place is great, and so professional. Worth every penny.

Is it possible to give 10 stars!!! I had three pieces of art that were three dimensional and texturized. All I had to do was explain the effect I wanted from the artwork and Jawed turned my rough ideas into a beautiful masterpiece. There were so many exquisite frames to choose from. I can’t say enough about the customer service. Once the framing was complete, Jawed took the time to personally hang them himself. Professional, courteous, and personable. There is no other place to go!

Came into the store not really knowing what I wanted. The manager answered all of my questions for an hour. She also spoke to my wife on the phone to reassure her that everything they use is acid free and won’t harm the art. She told me the framing would be done in 2 weeks and it was. They gave me a call when it was finished, so I could come pick it up. ROOQ Fine Art and Framing has unbeatable prices and excellent customer service.

Excellent service and great work. I brought my ketubah in to be framed and they were extremely helpful and patient in helping me select the best look as well as offering the most reasonable price. Very happy with the final product. Highly recommend!

Friendly service and fast turnaround time!

Got our ketubah back (very quickly, i might add!) and it looks absolutely PERFECT. Seriously it looks better than I even dreamed it would. The advice we were offered was completely on-​point, and the final product achieves exactly the mix of formality and warmth that we were going for with such an important piece. Jawed and his sister (really sorry to say I can’t remember her name because she’s awesome) have been lifesavers for me! I had to get a ton of photos framed for my office, and, without knowing anything about framing, they set me up with really nice looking mats and framing and gave me a bulk discount. Jawed even came to my office to personally hang the first round.
I’ve gone back now several times — have had at least 60 pieces framed — and they are so wonderful! Always greet me by name and are very professional and accommodating.

I made them try every frame and matting combination until I was perfectly satisfied and they were so patient and great. Helped me find a frame that kept me in budget.

I’ve had two pieces framed recently… a newspaper in a classic black frame with cream matt and our Ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) that has an unfinished edge floating on cream matt in a gold frame with red-​undertones. Both pieces look amazing and the quality of the work is impeccable. I enjoyed working with Jawed and the other staff members to pick out the frames, envision matting sizing, etc., and the prices were reasonable for high-​quality custom framing. I will definitely be going back for future pieces!

The level of service and professionalism was immaculate from the moment I stepped into the store.
The folks at ROOQ listened to what I was looking for and provided great advice on how I should get my print framed. They were very patient and were mindful of my budget.
The end product was stunning! Turned out the way I wanted it to be. To top it off, it was raining pretty heavily on the day of collection. ROOQ even triple-​wrapped my prized possession and hand-​carried it to the taxi for me.

Very reasonable prices for a great job. I have had had three pieces of varied size framed there and the work is top notch. Jawed and Nilo were friendly, knowledgeable, and creatively on point. I knew what I wanted for the main piece but still they helped me with the particulars. I took suggestions for the other two, and it was a fun process in which they never felt impatient during.
I can’t say this will happen for everyone but, maybe because of the volume I brought, Jawed upgraded my glass on the large main piece. He has won me over and I will definitely return for all framing.
I just read a 1 star review from a skeptic. He must have gone in with a chip on his shoulder or he is a prince that expected some thousand dollar service which one may go elsewhere and pay through the nose for.
My review wasn’t bought by anything but their competence, good ol fashion customer service, and good value. There wasn’t anything cheap about it. I’m sure someone could find a more expensive place if they need to feel fancy. I’m happy knowing I didn’t over pay for framing that looks great in my home.
