Description

Specialties

Prime West, the newest member of the Prime Hospitality Group, is a fresh culinary experience that raises the bar yet again in fine kosher dining, offering a host of inspired, original menu items as well as updated takes on signature dishes from its sister restaurant, Prime Grill. Featuring an updated, innovative sushi list offering the freshest fish, handpicked daily by our executive chef, and many USDA Prime cuts of meat that are new to the kosher scene, Prime West is an elegant addition to the Upper West Side restaurant scene that has quickly become a favorite of discriminating diners throughout the greater NYC area.

History

Established in 2010.

Prime West located on the Upper West Side is the third New York City Restaurant from Joey Allaham and Prime Hospitality Group. Allaham wanted to create a neighborhood restaurant that targeted a younger demographic of customers looking for a fun relaxed environment for dinner and drinks. The Upper West Side was the perfect location as it is the hub for young Jewish professionals and families.

Joey A.

Business Owner

Joey Allaham is the founder and owner of Prime Hospitality Group, which is the first restaurant group to specialize in Kosher cuisine. In 2000, Allaham opened The Prime Grill in Midtown Manhattan, creating the first high-end kosher steakhouse in New York City and forever changing public perception of kosher food. Allaham’s second restaurant, Solo, with a focus on New American Cuisines with Mediterranean-Asian influences, opened in the Sony Building on Madison Avenue in 2004. Both restaurants remain favorite dining spots for a number of celebrities, politicians and business leaders. In 2010 Allaham opened his third restaurant Prime KO, a Japanese steakhouse on the upper west side and created the first kosher restaurant with a lounge space.
